I have a 2018 Ford F-150 Platinum Truck. The truck began hard shifting and jolting the truck while slowing down or speeding up. Threw codes P2707/P2708 (F-clutch solenoid); the CDF played part in this issue. I lost several gears (to include gears 1-3, 5, 7, and 9 in drive, and reverse) WHILE driving. The component or system that failed or malfunctioned due to this issue was our cylinder number 1 had a misfire code showing. Upon further inspection of the car at the shop with a borescope camera it was found that coolant is leaking into the cylinder causing a misfire to occur after the vehicle has been driven and then sits while cooling system is still under pressure. Our safety was put at risk b
... ecause while driving the car on the interstate in [XXX] around end of February to sometime in March the car was jerking and acting as though it would die at any point where cars are travelling of speeds 65-70 mph plus. We had our [XXX] old and then [XXX] old who has a neurological condition and is under a neurologist for treatment of severe migraine headaches in the car with us. We had to pull over on the side of the road, then my husband started driving slowly with emergency blinkers on, we were able to get to a dealership who looked at it and ran a code and told us that the code showed a misfire in our cylinder 1 and that we needed to replace the ignition coil, which we just replaced in May 2024 and we have a rceipt to show proof of this. The car will no longer be in our possession because when my husband learned that the car was in engine failure he wanted to trade it in because we need a safe car but we do have the reports to it. The problem was confirmed by an independent service center- Christian Brothers Automotive in Crestwood, Ky. To fix the problem we have to have a total engine replacement which is priced at 12 grand. Manufacturer refuses to take responsibility for this. Engine blockhead was also found to not line up with the engine, which had to have happened at factory when car was built. The check engine light came on 2x recently, car was jerking in May 2024 and that's when the problem 1st started. Problem corrected for almost 2 years, but then same problem reappeared. I was driving with my cruise control on, at the speed around 50 mph, thank goodness no other cars were around us, all of a sudden my car slammed on the brakes, a warning flashed but I happened so fast I wasn’t able to see what it said.

1st incident: I pulled out from [XXX] onto [XXX] . As I was accelerating to reach the speed limit the gas pedal became unresponsive around 30-40 mph losing all propulsion. I pushed the gas pedal to the floor and it still did not accelerate, slowing the vehicle down with highway traffic approaching from behind. After 5-10 seconds the pedal suddenly became responsive and the car began to accelerat
... e at a bit of a slower rate than typical for the first few seconds then accelerated as it should. 2nd incident: I was turning from [XXX] , into the driveway at my place of employment. The drive way is on an incline and halfway up the incline the gas pedal again became unresponsive. Due to the incline the vehicle did not continue to coast forward and quickly lost speed at which point I hit the brakes to avoid possibly rolling back into the highway traffic. I then tried the gas pedal again and the vehicle accelerated. This could become extremely dangerous if it were to occur during merging onto a busy highway with traffic moving at high speed, as just one example. The two incidents happened about a month apart. The dealership was not able to replicate the issue as it is a very random occurrence with no warning of when it will happen. No warning lights became visible on the dash. Through a quick google search it became apparent this is a known issue, with several possible quick fixes, which I relayed to the dealership when I took the vehicle in for them to fix it. It was not replicated on their test drive and no codes were showing so I was told they couldn’t do anything unless a code would pop up or they were able to replicate the issue, which is very unlikely to happen during a quick test drive. The dealership stated it has performed all recalls to date. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)Read more

What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? The HVAC system, specifically the electric A/C compressor, has failed. The system produces a loud grinding/buzzing noise and has been diagnosed by authorized Toyota dealerships as requiring full compressor replacement. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. How was your safety or the
... safety of others put at risk? This failure directly impacts the vehicle’s defrost system, which is critical for maintaining windshield visibility. Reduced or failed defrost capability creates a safety hazard by impairing visibility while driving, increasing the risk of an accident. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Yes. The issue has been confirmed by multiple authorized Toyota dealerships, including Sheehy Toyota and Mike Calvert Toyota. Both independently diagnosed a failed A/C compressor requiring replacement. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? Yes. The issue has been escalated to Toyota Corporate, and a case manager has reviewed the dealership findings. Documentation has been submitted to Toyota for warranty and goodwill consideration. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? Yes. A grinding/buzzing noise began when the A/C system was activated and was formally reported to Sheehy Toyota on October 27, 2025, while the vehicle was under warranty. The issue was not repaired at that time. The condition progressively worsened and resulted in confirmed compressor failure on March 25, 2026.Read more

While idling, the engine shuts off completely and requires the vehicle to be shifted into park and restarted before operation can continue. On multiple occasions, the engine has struggled to restart and cranked for several seconds before turning over. Honda of Tomball in Tomball, TX currently has it. This defect creates a significant safety hazard because the vehicle loses power unexpectedly while
... in traffic. The vehicle is immobilized until it can be shifted into Park and restarted, leaving us vulnerable to collisions or other accidents, particularly in busy intersections or congested roadways, and creates a serious safety risk to our family, children, and our daughter’s service dog. The vehicle has been presented to HOT multiple times for diagnosis and repair. This defect continues to happen. HOT has inspected this during multiple repair visits. To our knowledge, the manufacturer has not directly inspected the vehicle. (I have requested it with both Honda of Tomball and Honda of America.) No warning lamps or dashboard messages appeared prior to the stalling events. The failure occurs without warning while the vehicle is stopped in Drive. The primary symptom is sudden engine shutdown, followed by difficulty restarting in some instances. This issue began shortly after delivery of the vehicle and has continued intermittently. First documented time of problem was September 2025. Most recent is May 2026.Read more

The panoramic sunroof glass suddenly shattered while the vehicle was being driven on the interstate, with no visible impact, object strike, or prior damage observed. The component involved is the sunroof glass panel, and it has already been removed and replaced through insurance repairs, so it is not available for inspection (however, pictures are available upon request). The incident created a lo

This also created a significant safety risk due to driver distraction, panic, and the potential for more serious injury while the vehicle was in motion at highway speeds. The issue has not been reproduced or independently duplicated by a dealer or service center; however, it was inspected and documented by the insurance company and repair facility during the claims and repair process, which confirmed that full glass replacement was necessary. The vehicle or component has been inspected by insurance representatives and a repair shop, but it has not been inspected by the manufacturer or law enforcement. There were no warning lamps, dashboard messages, or any prior symptoms indicating a problem before the failure occurred, and the sunroof appeared to fail suddenly and without any advance indication while the vehicle was in motion.Read more

On 12/17/2025, my 2022 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited (VIN [XXX] , 15,871 miles) experienced violent front-end oscillation — known as "death wobble" — while my daughter was driving on the highway at approximately 50–55 mph after encountering a road imperfection. The steering wheel and front suspension shook violently side-to-side. Vehicle control was significantly impaired and she had to slow subst
... antially to stop the oscillation. Video of the incident is attached. The vehicle is completely stock: OEM suspension, tires, and wheels, no lift, no aftermarket modifications. I took it the same day to Safford Brown Jeep, an authorized Jeep dealer. They diagnosed the issue and replaced the front suspension steering damper. Repair cost $800 out of pocket. The dealer called it out of warranty because the 3-year basic warranty had elapsed, despite the vehicle having only 15,871 miles — well under the 36,000-mile warranty limit. A safety-critical steering defect at this mileage on a fully stock vehicle is consistent with a manufacturing or design defect, not wear or modification. This is a known, dangerous defect in Jeep solid-front-axle vehicles. NHTSA has received hundreds of complaints on prior Wrangler model years, and Stellantis (FCA) entered a 2023 class-action settlement covering 2018–2020 Wranglers and 2020 Gladiators with an 8-year/90,000-mile steering damper warranty extension. The 2022 model year was excluded despite exhibiting the same defect. I am filing this complaint to document that the issue persists in post-2020 Wranglers and request NHTSA evaluate whether a safety defect determination and recall is warranted for 2021+ model years. No crash, fire, or injuries — but loss of steering control at highway speed is a serious crash risk, especially with a young driver behind the wheel. I am filing this complaint regarding NHTSA Recall 26V103 (Manufacturer Recall R10362) for my 2025 Volvo EX30, VIN [XXX] . The recall was issued February 18, 2026 for a fire, overheating, and smoke safety risk due to potential overheating of the High-Voltage battery cell. The remedy requires battery module inspection and replacement, however Volvo has acknowledged that no replacement parts are ava

Despite this, my dealer marked recall R10362 as Closed on or around April 30, 2026 without performing any repair. When I contacted Volvo Cars customer care directly, they confirmed verbally that the recall remains open for my vehicle and that parts are still unavailable. However Volvo stated they will only provide written confirmation to the dealership, not to me as the vehicle owner. As a result of the unrepaired recall, I have been instructed to limit charging to a maximum of 70% state of charge to reduce fire risk. This has been in effect since February 2026. My vehicle has lost significant market value as a direct result. I am requesting NHTSA investigate the improper closure of this recall on my VIN without remedy being performed, and take appropriate action against the manufacturer and dealer.
