Two weeks ago, an alert appeared stating that the charge port door was open. The door was closed and no amount of opening and closing the door would stop the alert from repeatedly appearing. After about 2 hours, a new alert would appear either before or after the the alert for the charge door. The new alert told me to service the high voltage charging system. The issue has been confirmed with the
... dealership, however, they refuse to fix the problem under warranty because they state that the issue is the internal position sensor for the charging port door and that is not one of the more common causes of this, apparently, very common issue with this vehicle. Considering the volume of complaints about this issue, I find that hard to believe and refused to pay for a known issue with the Prologue. Most other owners with the issue have found that despite being told by the dealership that the sensor was the issue, it was actually the AC or battery that was the problem. This is a safety issue because something is wrong with the charging system of an EV, which can eventually cause a major defect in the vehicle and Honda won't fix it under warranty.Read more

The contact owns a 2023 Toyota Corolla. The contact stated that whenever the vehicle was shifted to park(P), the word (P) was illuminated on the PRNDL, but the word was not displayed on the instrument cluster. The contact stated that while shifted to drive(D) there was no indication of drive on the PRNDL, or the instrument cluster, and the vehicle failed to respond. The contact stated that the fai
... lure had occurred while shifted to reverse(R). The contact had been advised by a mechanic on how to reset the parking brake to be able to shift to park(P), drive(D) or reverse(R). The contact had been advised to lift the parking brake lever and hold it for 5 seconds and then depress the lever and hold for 5 seconds. The contact was able to shift to any gear, and the vehicle would move after performing the reset. The contact normally did not engage the parking brake, however, when the failure first occurred, the warning "EPB Stopped Completely" illuminated twice but had not illuminated in weeks. The contact stated that the failure was intermittent but had gradually become a recurring failure. The contact had not taken the vehicle to a local dealer or independent mechanic. The vehicle was not diagnosed and was not repaired. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 55,000.Read more

Forward collision warning either does not work at all or is too sensitive. When demonstrated for the dealership, the warning went off while in park for a potted plant more than 10 ft away, then did not go off again no matter how close the Prologue was moved towards an object nor what speed we were moving, until it suddenly went off as we approached a cross street, alerting to a car that was almost

Blind spot warning works intermittently. Sometimes it alerts correctly, sometimes it does not alert at all, and sometimes it alerts to nothing. ... ect described in NHTSA Recall 21V-035 related to the MCU/eMMC failure. I reported this safety issue to Tesla Service and provided photo evidence of the screen rebooting while driving. Tesla has refused to address this as a recall or safety repair. Tesla claims the recall was previously completed under a prior owner but refuses to provide any documentation proving that the recall repair was actually performed, citing prior owner privacy. Tesla has further stated that diagnosis of this active safety defect would be customer-paid due to the basic warranty being expired and has indicated that the only path forward is a paid infotainment upgrade. Tesla is effectively requiring payment to diagnose and resolve a known safety defect. As the safety defect is actively occurring while driving and Tesla has marked the recall as complete without providing proof or correcting the issue, I am requesting NHTSA review whether Tesla is improperly closing out recalls without ensuring the defect has been remedied and whether charging customers to diagnose known safety defects is appropriate. After entering my VIN into NHTSA’s recall lookup, NHTSA shows Recall 21V-035 (MCU/eMMC failure) as Recall Incomplete for my vehicle. This directly contradicts Tesla’s claim that the recall was previously completed. Tesla has refused to provide documentation and is requiring paid diagnosis and a paid infotainment upgrade despite the recall being listed by NHTSA as unresolved.Read more

After pressing the start/stop button to start the vehicle, it immediately began making a loud and unusual noise. Recognizing that this was not a normal sound, I pressed the start/stop button again in an attempt to turn the vehicle off. However, the vehicle did not disengage and would not shut off as expected. The noise continued and became louder, and smoke began coming from the sides of the vehi

The smoke was too thick to determine whether there were any visible flames. After a short period of time, the engine finally disengaged on its own, but the smoke continued for a period of time after the vehicle shut off. The exact cause of the shutdown is unknown. We did not attempt to restart the vehicle. After the incident, there was visible melted plastic material and residue on the concrete beneath the vehicle, consistent with something overheating or melting in the engine compartment. The vehicle was not driven after this incident and was towed to the nearest dealership for inspection, where it remains pending further evaluation.Read more

There is a SERIOUS safety-related FSD (full self driving) fundamental design flaw with stop sign behavior. On previous versions AND on the latest and best version of FSD (currently that is v14.2.1.25) when FSD approaches a stop sign AND there is no white painted stopping line, FSD will make its full initial stop (also called the zero-speed stop) directly at or behind the stop sign instead of maki
... ng the initial full stop beyond the stop sign at a location where the driver can see cross traffic. Sometimes the FSD initial full stop is 20, 30, 40, even 50+ feet back away from the edge of the road. At these distances from the edge of the road, most of the time, there is NO VISUAL of cross traffic left and right. The FSD stop then turns into the FSD "creep" where FSD, after stopping 30 feet back WILL THEN commit to the turn from 30 feet back giving drivers little to no time to see cross traffic. If I am the supervisor of FSD who is liable for my safety and my vehicle's safety, I need to be able to see cross traffic before my car (with FSD engaged) decides to commit to the turn, but FSD DOES NOT CARE IF THE DRIVER CAN SEE. The "creep" is perhaps the least human-like manuever that FSD performs. From the stopped location directly at the stop sign, they creep may inch up and stop again, it may inch up a COUPLE TIMES and stop again, it may pull up to the edge of the road and stop again, OR it may just pull out into oncoming traffic in one swift motion. Bc of this behavior, FSD has almost got rear ended countless times at stop signs. Also, cross traffic see's the creep and thinks i'm about to pull out in front of them Drivers go beyond the stop sign to a location where they can see to make their one and only full stop. To avoid this issue, FSD needs to do this too (i.e. make initial full stop at the edge of the road) This is legal in mostly every state (I live in PA) Tesla has not provided a single response to these reports and nothing seems to be getting done about it.Read more

The factory-installed Uconnect infotainment system in my 2019 Dodge Challenger intermittently malfunctions by remaining stuck on the rearview camera display after the vehicle is shifted out of reverse and into drive or park. The rearview camera image does not disengage as designed and continues to display randomly during normal forward driving. This appears to be a failure of the Uconnect radio/s
... oftware system rather than the camera itself. The issue occurs unpredictably and has happened multiple times without warning. Restarting the vehicle is sometimes required to restore normal screen function. This malfunction creates a safety hazard because the display obstructs access to navigation, climate controls, and other critical vehicle information while driving forward, causing driver distraction and reduced situational awareness. Backup cameras are federally mandated safety equipment, and failure of the system to disengage properly interferes with safe vehicle operation. Additionally, I am medically light-sensitive due to chronic migraines. When the rearview camera display remains active unexpectedly, the bright and high-contrast screen significantly worsens my symptoms, increasing pain, visual discomfort, and distraction while driving. This exacerbates the safety risk and makes the malfunction an extreme concern for me during vehicle operation. No warning lights or messages appear prior to or during the malfunction. The problem has not yet been repaired. The vehicle and system remain available for inspection upon request. This failure mode matches known Dodge/Stellantis rearview camera and Uconnect software defects reported on similar model-year vehicles, although my VIN is not currently included in an active recall.Read more

And my nose and throat are very irritated possibly because of inhaling the powder", the advisor looked at the airbag cover finally noticing the powder and said:" It's not a problem, we will wipe the powder off", despite my concerns. When I came to pick up my vehicle, I asked if my airbag issue was taken care of and documentations have been provided, I was told "Yes, we sent you a link". But it was no information about airbag inspection request or what work was done on it. I immediately went to speak with General manager of Temecula Nissan, who promised to inspect and fix the airbag issue next workday but nobody contact me since then and message I left for the manager on the phone was completely ignored. After filing a complaint to Nissan Consumer Affairs, I was told that nothing they can do about it and advised to get a second opinion from another Nissan dealership. So I did. Pedder Nissan Advisors took my concerns seriously, they said that it is dangerous to drive my vehicle in that condition, they did an inspection and took my car to replace the defective airbag.Read more

The front suspension control arm was completely detached due to unfastened bolts. While this happened on the parking lot at low speed, such detachment at highway speed would certainly lead to major damage, loss of control and injuries or death to the driver. Pictures attached show that the bolts did not have any thread lock applied and simply unscrewed themselves due to vibration. The vehicle was

I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with the vehicle I purchased from your dealership. Despite my expectations at the time of purchase, the vehicle has not met the standards that were represented to me. This letter is intended to address my concerns regarding the vehicle’s features, undisclosed recalls, and significant mechanical and safety issues discovered immediately after del
... ivery. I discovered—through the GMC mobile application, not through the dealership—that the vehicle had two to three active recalls at the time I received it, including recalls involving the engine and transmission. I was never informed of these recalls by the dealership prior to or at the time of sale, which is extremely concerning. After discovering the recalls myself, I scheduled a service appointment. I was informed that the recalls were addressed and marked as resolved in GMC Springdale. Despite the recalls being cleared, only two days later, the vehicle began experiencing issues. The screen displayed warning messages, and the vehicle developed a vibration, to the point that it became unsafe to drive. Catalytic Converter Issues with Ford after Emissions Recall I recently had an emissions recall on my 2016 Lincoln MKX by Ford (25E02) in which the "vehicle has an emissions control system that does not account for certain in-use conditions and might not control tail pipe emissions effectively over time." Now one of the catalytic converters in the car is not working and needs to be replaced. The sa

I believe the company is aware of the issue but is refusing to include catalytic convertors in the recall. This is an environmental hazard that should fall on Ford to resolve.Read more

The vehicle experienced a sudden engine failure and loss of power while traveling at freeway speed. Two days earlier, the vehicle had been taken to an authorized dealership for factory recall service. During that visit, concerns were raised about known engine issues associated with this model, but the vehicle was returned to service. While driving on the freeway, the engine abruptly stalled witho
... ut warning, causing immediate loss of propulsion and power. This created a dangerous situation in moving traffic, requiring rapid maneuvering to avoid a collision and safely exit traffic lanes. The vehicle became inoperable and could not be restarted. The failed component appears to be the engine or related internal engine system. The vehicle was towed back to the dealership following the incident and has remained inoperable since that time. The vehicle is currently available for inspection. The failure placed the driver at significant risk due to the sudden loss of power at highway speed. No collision occurred, but the risk of serious injury or death was present. The problem has not been reproduced because the vehicle has remained disabled since the incident. The dealership and manufacturer have inspected the vehicle after the failure. The manufacturer is reviewing the incident under an internal process. There were no prior warning lights, messages, or symptoms indicating imminent engine failure before the stall. The failure occurred suddenly and without advance notice.Read more
