My vehicle, a 2022 Jeep Wrangler 4xe is subject to Recall 25V-741. This recall involves a serious safety defect with vehicle’s charging system, posing I fire risk when charged. This renders the vehicle unsafe to operate. At this time, there is no available repair remedy. While the official Jeep Mopar website states that repairs parts are available but the Jeep dealership states they don't have
... repairs available for my vehicle. I have called two different dealerships one month apart and still received the same answer. As a result of this recall, I am unable to drive or reasonably use the vehicle. The vehicle is effectively inoperable, and I am incurring ongoing financial harm, including loan payments and loss-of-use expenses, for a vehicle that cannot be safely driven. I purchased the vehicle in good faith, and shortly after purchase learned of the open recall. Stellantis has not provided a repair timeline or alternative resolution. This situation leaves me without safe transportation and no practical remedy.Read more

I have a 2018 Hyundai Elantra with about 155k miles. It has been consuming oil excessively and has developed serious drivability issues. If I try to accelerate even slightly harder than normal—especially above 2,000 RPM—it makes a metallic, chain-type rattling noise, loses power, and produces heavy smoke from the exhaust. The smoke sometimes continues even after shutting the engine off and res
... tarting. Because of this, I’ve been avoiding rapid acceleration and slowly working up to highway speeds. The car also periodically shakes at idle, idles higher than normal at times, and the RPMs will occasionally rise on their own. In the past it has stalled randomly, and sometimes it feels like the transmission is “stuck” and won’t shift properly. Despite all this, there are currently no check-engine codes. This is terrible and clearly there’s been lawsuits and other recalls regarding the same issue and same engine but nothing for mine? I am out of warranty and had no clue the amount of issues the car was going to have until last year and I’m screwed now, insurance doesn’t cover issues with the engine or transmission. Neither will Hyundai?! Last year Hyundai performed a CVVT repair that cost about $6,000, which temporarily improved things, but the symptoms returned shortly afterward. When I brought it back, they said they couldn’t recreate the issue. The car is now out of warranty. Separately, the car was stolen two months ago due to the immobilization fault and TIk TOKs videos and the police said it has been hundreds of these Elantras stolen and destroyd and the ignition and wiper control switch/harness were damaged, which still hasn’t been repaired.Read more

On December 19, 2023, when pulling out of a parking lot onto the street, pressing the gas vehicle jerked and would not accelerate. No lights on dash. Went to next intersection, at stop sign, vehicle shut off, in the middle of traffic. Still no dash

After about 3 hours check engine light came on, with a red light to the right of check engine light. At the same time as the check engine, I received an alert via the Cadillac App 12V error, please crank vehicle. Each crank try, dashboard would light up/cycle but vehicle never started once it shut off. Tow truck driver thought it may be battery. Tried getting vehicle to crank. No joy. Vehicle Breaking on Its Own While Driving I am writing to file a formal safety complaint and to demand immediate corporate intervention regarding an extremely dangerous mechanical/ADAS defect. My Nissan Altima has serious, ongoing safety issues where the vehicle will unexpectedly and aggressively apply the brakes on its own while I am driving, including on highways and regular roads. This defect h
... appens without my input, without warning, and creates a major risk of being rear-ended, losing control of the vehicle, or causing a serious accident. This issue is Not minor. It is a life-threatening malfunction that makes the vehicle unsafe to operate. I have taken the vehicle to authorized Nissan dealerships for diagnosis and repair on multiple occasions & originally they told me it should be under warranty & when they spoke to the dealership they said it did not qualify under the warranty nor the extra insurance purchased & i'd have to come out of pocket for repairs. A vehicle that breaks on its own, especially at highway speeds – is not safe, not reliable, and not roadworthy. This situation has gone on for years and the vehicle is now a clear danger to me and the public and my three minor children who ride in the car with me. At 116,500 miles, the oil pump failed on my Ford Focus. This was verified by an auto repair shop. The car has the Ford ecoboost 1.0 engine. Ford has a recall on this engine with a build date of March 24, 2015 to May 4, 2018. My car was built on Aug 4, 2015 within the range of the recall. The recall states that cars with automatic transmission are included. My car has a manual 6 speed. I don't b

The car "check engine" and "check oil" lights came on and there were multiple instances where the car stalled and I became stranded, often on busy roads. It has been well documented on the internet that Ford has had issues with this engine. I am not planning on repairing this car as the shop explained it probably will be in the range of $7000 which way more than the value of this car that is almost 10yrs old and 116500. The car is currently sitting in my garage non drivable with a scrap value of pennies compared what trade-in value or extend life of the car.Read more

These issues appear consistent with failure or corrosion of the Smart Junction Box (SJB) or related electrical control components. Replacement Smart Junction Boxes are unavailable through both Ford and aftermarket sources, preventing proper repair of the defect. I am reporting ongoing safety issues with my Kia K4 LXS involving driver assistance systems and steering control. While driving in heavy rain with reduced visibility, the vehicle disabled multiple sensors and displayed a “camera obscured” message along with inattentive driving warnings, despite both of my hands being on the steering wheel and my full attention on the road. The loss of driver
... assistance features during hazardous weather conditions created a distracting and dangerous situation. This issue occurs frequently. I regularly receive false inattentive driving and hands-on-wheel warnings even when I am driving properly. These alerts are distracting and interfere with safe vehicle operation. I am also experiencing lane control and steering interference. The steering wheel will sometimes pull the vehicle in a direction that does not match the road, even when lane assist is turned off. This is especially dangerous in construction zones with temporary lanes marked by reflectors, including when driving next to large trucks. I have experienced multiple near-miss incidents and have had to physically override the steering wheel to remain in my lane. These problems now occur almost every time I drive and have caused me to feel unsafe operating the vehicle. I believe this represents a serious safety defect.Read more

am reporting a problem with the Forward Collision Warning and Automatic Emergency Braking system. The vehicle has repeatedly given collision warnings and applied braking when there was no vehicle, person, or obstacle in front of me. I purchased the vehicle used in July 2023 with approximately 30,000 miles. It now has approximately 108,000 miles. Over the time I have owned the vehicle, this issue
... has occurred about ten times while I was driving. Four of these incidents happened recently with a passenger in the vehicle, which confirmed the issue was not driver error. In several instances, the system gave rapid warning beeps and then applied braking even though the road ahead was clear. One time this occurred at highway speed with no traffic in front of me. Another time it occurred on a lightly traveled local road with no visible hazard. The braking was sudden and unexpected. On one occasion, a leaf may have passed in front of the sensor, but the majority of incidents occurred with no visible trigger. There were no warning lights or messages before the events, only the collision alert immediately followed by braking. This behavior creates a safety risk because the vehicle can brake unexpectedly without an actual obstruction, which could lead to a rear end collision or loss of control. The problem has not yet been inspected by a dealer or manufacturer.Read more

... t lane at that time. I did not hit anyone and no car hit me. Call automatically went to the police from my car. In short time police came and I came out of the car and found that left rear wheel broke from axel. I do regular service in BMW service center. This year I took to Rallye BMW service center one time in April and one time in August and I did complete servicing as their recommendation. My car is in Rallye BMW for over one and half month but I did not get any information from BMW what happened to my car. I called several times but from service center Mr. Anthony is telling that from BMW corporate one came yet to do inspection.Read more

The instrument cluster on my vehicle has failed intermittently and/or completely, resulting in loss of speedometer visibility and loss of critical warning indicator information. This includes safety-related alerts necessary for driver awareness, such as warning lights and vehicle status indicators. Due to this failure, the vehicle is unsafe to operate because the driver cannot reliably monitor spe
... ed or receive safety warnings required for safe driving. A repair order was opened at a Ford dealership to address this issue. The vehicle is covered by an extended warranty provider, which approved a repair request related to the instrument cluster failure on December 16, 2024. The warranty provider further confirmed approval for instrument cluster replacement on December 22, 2024. These approvals confirm the defect was acknowledged and authorized for repair. Despite the safety defect remaining unresolved, the dealership closed the repair order. Ford corporate customer service has confirmed that the repair order shows as closed on their end, even though the instrument cluster failure has not been corrected and the vehicle remains unsafe to operate. Closing the repair order disrupted manufacturer responsibility tracking and reimbursement eligibility while the safety defect persists. As a result, I have incurred out-of-pocket expenses including towing, rental vehicle costs, and related transportation expenses. This instrument cluster failure constitutes a safety-related defect under DOT and NHTSA guidelines because it prevents safe operation of the vehicle. I am requesting manufacturer accountability and corrective action to ensure this safety defect is properly addressed and tracked.Read more

My 2017 Jeep Cherokee rolled away three times in one day while in Park with the Electric Parking Brake engaged. My driveway has no flat area and slopes toward a public road, creating a serious hazard for my family and traffic. The rollaways occurred suddenly with no warning lights. I had to park the Jeep sideways in a snowbank for two weeks to prevent further rollaways, creating added risks for my
... family in winter conditions. The vehicle remains at the dealership. During the first two days of the evaluation, the dealer confirmed brake shoe thickness (4mm), verified the EPB software was current, and found no diagnostic codes. They could not recreate the rollaway or identify a cause. No mechanical or electronic faults were found. FCA communication has been inconsistent. I experienced dropped calls, long holds, contradictory statements, and repeated refusals to provide written documentation of the inspection authorization. FCA said they could not escalate the safety case unless the vehicle was already at the dealership, yet still refused written confirmation of the purpose of the inspection, and I was not willing to bring the vehicle in without documentation. After the evaluation, when I attempted to relay the required findings per the RO instructions, FCA informed me the safety case had already been closed, leaving no record of the defect. FCA said only the rental authorization remained open and they could no longer escalate my case. I then had to re-explain the entire rollaway incident. FCA and the dealer now disagree on whether the RO is open or closed, and FCA has not explained who is responsible for the ongoing loaner or what the next steps are. The defect remains unresolved and the Jeep is unsafe to operate or park at my home.Read more
