This is a very common problem amongst these vehicles and honda should be responsible in fixing them.

Honda extended the warranty on these components to 10 years with no mileage limit, however no formal safety recall has been issued and owners are not proactively notified. This is a recurring defect affecting thousands of CR-V owners across multiple model years (2017–2022). I am requesting that NHTSA investigate this pattern and compel Honda to issue a formal recall so that all affected owners are automatically notified and repaired at no cost, rather than requiring owners to discover the warranty extension themselves.Read more

Car did it’s normal automatic shut off while stopped at red light but then did not automatically restart when I took my foot off the brake. I couldn’t get it to start or turn off. I was just sitting with a dead car in the middle of traffic. It was still on but totally unresponsive! I called 911 but before they arrived I managed to get the car to turn off and then restart. ??

The steering is sticking when driving. This is especially concerning on highway driving or on curved roads. I have to fight the steering wheel to move, even slightly. The known recalls were for newer models. This recall needs to be extended to cover older models as it is a known issue.

It only has 145k miles on it. Had 111k when I bought it in 2022! I barely put miles on this and the fuel consumption and engine are now causing issues. I would like to report a potential safety concern involving the Evenflo Revolve360 Slim 2-in-1 Rotational Car Seat. My child is [XXX] old and is able to independently press the harness release/loosening button located between her legs while seated in the car seat during normal vehicle operation. My concern is that the harness release mechanism is too accessible to a young child and allows the child to defeat the restraint system while riding in the vehicle. I am concerned that if this occurred during a collision or sudden stop, my child could be seriously injured or ejected from the seat due to the loosened harness. The seat has been used according to manufacturer instructions to the best of my knowledge. I believe this may represent a design or safety issue that should be reviewed further. I am submitting this complaint because I believe other caregivers may experience the same issue, and I am concerned about the risk of injury associated with a child being able to loosen the harness independently during normal travel. The rear window shattered while driving. I had turned on my rear window defroster to help clear the window of fog. Several minutes later there was a loud pop, and I saw a hole in the lower left corner of the window under the spoiler, and the rest of the glass was cracked. I pulled over to see if something had hit the window, and there was no evidence of that happening.

Now after owning it for a year, Apple CarPlay freaks out. I’ll be listening to music and then suddenly the screen goes black. The buttons still work on the blacked out screen but nothing will pop bac

This can be a distraction safety hazard. My other issue is the lane keep assist. It doesn’t detect lanes very well, especially if it’s faded or has sealed cracks. I could be driving the freeway speed limit and then the car suddenly brakes hard. I’m lucky no one was directly behind me when these incidents have happened or else I would’ve been rear-ended. I am writing to file a complaint regarding the air conditioning system failure in my 2020 Honda Civic Sport. The air conditioner in my vehicle began blowing hot air instead of cold air. I took the vehicle to Honda for inspection and paid $545.15 to have the system recharged and dye inserted in order to diagnose the issue. After this service was completed, I was informed that the evaporator has fa
... iled and needs to be replaced. I was then quoted $2,475.13 for the repair. While researching this issue, I discovered that many other Honda Civic owners have reported similar air conditioning problems involving the evaporator and AC system. I also became aware of a 2021 letter involving American Honda Motor Co. and Honda dealership personnel regarding evaporator leaks in vehicles with VIN numbers beginning with 2HG or 19X. The letter stated that Honda was researching these vehicles in an effort to better understand the issue. Given the number of similar complaints and Honda’s apparent awareness and investigation into evaporator leaks, this appears to be a potentially widespread defect affecting these vehicles, even when properly maintained. The failure of the air conditioning system has caused significant inconvenience and financial burden. I believe this issue should be investigated further, as it may indicate a defect in the vehicle’s air conditioning system. I respectfully request that the NHTSA review this matter and investigate whether the evaporator failure in the 2020 Honda Civic Sport is a recurring manufacturing defect that may warrant further action or assistance for affected vehicle owners.
