The contact owns a 2018 Ford Edge. While the contact's husband was driving at an undisclosed speed, the check engine warning light illuminated. In addition, when the vehicle was started, there was an abnormal rumbling sound coming from underneath the hood. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed, and DTC: P0303 and P0316 were retrieved. The failure was not acknowledged by the d
... ealer at the time. The contact was informed that the vehicle was repaired. The contact stated that a tune-up was performed, and the coolant reservoir was refilled; however, the failure reoccurred. The vehicle was diagnosed with engine failure, and the contact was informed that the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. While speaking with the dealer, the dealer confirmed that the initial repair had not resolved the issue. The contact was notified of an unknown TSB regarding the failure. The contact was informed that coolant intrusion was a known failure with similar vehicles. The contact stated that the dealer should have acknowledged the failure when the vehicle was initially taken to the dealer. The contact stated that the failure was due to a poor design by the manufacturer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, and a case was filed. The failure mileage was approximately 53,418.Read more

On September 27, 2025 while driving to my nieces soccer game my 2020 Silverado Traill Boss LT started losing power while driving. I was at a Red light when I felt the truck not properly responding to me pushing the gas pedal once it turned green. It slowly started accelerating and then with all the lights still illuminated on the dash, the truck completely stopped working with No response to the g
... as pedal. I had to let the truck coast forward while driving through an intersection. Thank God there was not that much traffic behind me and any cross traffic. I managed to pull the truck over stuck on the side of the road. My wife had to get a ride from a family member to reach the destination while I had to call a tow truck and have it towed home. Ironically, I believe the truck had just got out of Warranty, what a complete waste of thousands of dollars including the warranty that is always useless. I did not reach out to the dealership because I knew it was going to cost me an arm and a leg just for a diagnostic only for them not to find a problem. There was No Warning Light Flashing to notify me that my truck was taking a dump or any error code of any sort for a diagnostic to pinpoint the issue. I am surprised this has not turned into a Class Action Lawsuit (not yet anyways). My Father made me a Chevrolet person but with all the recent Engine/Powertrain problems with General Motors. I always believed the slogan "The longest lasting dependable trucks on the road". Tanks to YouTuber "@Donslife" for keeping the Public informed of all the latest updates with all these issues. This might be my last Chevrolet ever unless they could fix these issues and take some type of customer reimbursement/assurance/future or current incentives.Read more

The vehicle’s wireless Apple CarPlay system forces the iPhone to connect to the truck’s built-in Wi-Fi network, which does not provide internet access. When connected, iPhone cellular data is blocked, resulting in frequent loss of navigation, traffic updates, and streaming services while driving. There is no option in the vehicle settings to disable the Wi-Fi or force cellular use. Multiple tr
... oubleshooting steps have been attempted, including iPhone network resets, Wi-Fi assist, toggling data settings, and re-pairing CarPlay, all without success. This design flaw creates a safety concern because navigation and real-time traffic information can fail unexpectedly, requiring driver distraction to troubleshoot or rely on a handheld device. The issue appears to be a firmware or design limitation of the infotainment system, not a defect with the phone. Using wired CarPlay resolves the issue, but wireless CarPlay as advertised consistently blocks cellular data. I am filing this complaint to report a persistent connectivity and safety problem that affects all users of wireless CarPlay on this vehicle model. The inability to access real-time navigation and traffic data while driving is a clear distraction and could contribute to unsafe driving conditions.Read more

The steering wheel failed to function as intended; when the steering wheel was moved, the steering wheel remained frozen in position, and force was used to turn the steering wheel. The maintenance record showed that service was performed. Backup Camera Failure (Occurred at approx. 1,000 miles) Part was on backorder, the rearview camera remained inoperative for approximately 99 days (February 22 through May 31, 2025). Emergency Braking System Issues (Ongoing) Compounding this, the vehicle’s emergency braking system would activate erratically
... and without cause, including: •When entering or exiting my driveway •During normal lane changes •When driving near trucks or concrete barriers Because these events occurred repeatedly and unexpectedly, I was forced to disable this safety system to avoid sudden braking events, further compromising vehicle safety. Broken CV Axles (Officially diagnosed at approx. 6,000-7,000 miles) •On May 31, 2025, the vehicle was returned to the dealership for backup camera installation and to revisit the knocking noise, this time properly documented. •That same day, both the left and right CV axles were diagnosed as broken, and I was told the vehicle was not safe to drive. •I had unknowingly been driving in this unsafe condition for almost three months. •The vehicle remained in the dealership’s possession until June 5, 2025 (6 days), Recurrence of Knocking Noise and Third Service Visit (January 10, 2026 – Approx. 15,000 miles) At approximately 15,000 to 16,000 miles, the knocking noise had returned (in both directions of steering) and I brought the vehicle in to be diagnosed •The dealership acknowledged hearing the noise. •I was told the sound is a “well-documented issue” with this model and considered “normal.” •I was informed that the vehicle was safe to drive. •I was told Honda is working on a redesigned part and that a recall is expected in approximately six months to one year. •I was specifically told Honda will not authorize replacement of the same axle parts again, as they continue to fail, and that I must wait for a recall remedy.Read more

My fiancée and I just recently bought this car with the 1.6T-GDi engine I immediately replaced the oil even though the dealership said that he just replaced it. I put 7 quarts of oil topping off from awk consumption after I initially changed the oil filter. Those 7 quarts were added over the period of three weeks and it’s just progressively gotten worse. I’m putting a quart to 1.5 quarts of
... oil in here every other day. Worried about it causing total failure & being at risk of being stranded with 2 kids due to the only engine I’ve been able to find that Kia doesn’t have any recall touched base on is the GAMMA 1.6 engine. The turbo GAMMA 1.6. The N/a 1.6 was covered but it has ungodly pop/clunking backfiring sound coming from either intake manifold or valve train please help. Times are hard enough as it is to be without a vehicle due to a fault other than none of my own the dealership extended powertrain warranty isn’t being honored by Kia even though they said it would just don’t want something to happen to me or the car that’s beyond my capabilities and knowledge and ultimately result in my spouse not having a reliable and/or safe means of transportation to/from work and commuting kids as well. I have noticed that when the battery is lower than 85% available power sensor effectiveness is greatly reduced. This is noticed with vehicle going into remote battery saver mode and the Auto Start/Stop function ceases to function. This also greatly reduces front collision, rear cross traffic and pedestrian rear cross traffic warning especially. This is apparently due to a battery drain if any US
... B items are left plugged in. But after six month review on my second battery it is more apparent that the Corsair has an electrical parasitic drainage problem that adds to the problem. The fix by company is to drive the vehicle every day, which is not a practical option. I have used high end battery tester to prove my point and willing to spare it. The testing was conducted with all USB electrical ports disconnected and random battery testing conducted. I have included a log and will send photos of the battery tests if requested.Read more
