The front forward-facing camera module has failed, causing cruise control and driver-assistance features to become inoperative. Dealer diagnosis indicates the front camera must be replaced and recalibrated in order to restore cruise control and safety systems. This failure disables cruise control and driver-assist features that were standard equipment on the vehicle at purchase, resulting in a su
... dden loss of functionality while driving. The dealer has provided a repair estimate of approximately $1,150, including parts, labor, and required calibration, at owner expense. Based on similar reports from other owners, this appears to be a recurring issue affecting this model year.Read more

I was driving and notice ABS light and other light came on, then noticed that when I tried to brake it felt weak, had to pump brake, then later noticed a leak on brake fluid. I took car to Toyota and they checked it and said brake booster and booster pump needed replacing and they wanted to charge me 3,000 dollars. I could not do the job so I checked around and the auto one in my area informed me
... that many Toyota Prius’s had a recall on that issue. I made an appointment with Parks Toyota in Deland, Florida to fix problem but when he got there they told me that my car was not on recall for that but was for battery EV fuse but couldn’t do because my engine light was off. I am having such a difficult time with this car. I cannot risk my life and that of others driving with this brake condition if I can’t have the manufacturer or who ever has to to take care of this issue. So far I was able to get a mechanic to do some adjustments so I can drive. I am being very careful and only use it as needed. I stopped looking for a part-time job because I need this fixed first. I am [XXX] , please tell me if I am able to get this recall show for me. Thanks INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)Read more

The contact owns a 2023 Nissan Rogue. While driving approximately 60 MPH, the vehicle decelerated to 30 MPH. The vehicle went into LIMP Mode; however, the vehicle was able to be driven to a certified mechanic. The mechanic diagnosed the vehicle and determined that the catalytic converter could have contributed to the failure. The mechanic retrieved DTC: U06652 and U2105 and associated the failure
... with NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V437000 (Engine and Engine Cooling). The mechanic cleared the fault codes, and the vehicle was driven to the dealer. The dealer was unable to retrieve any fault codes. The fault codes returned after leaving the dealer, and the failure reoccurred. The vehicle was returned to the dealer the following day, and the dealer reprogrammed the engine control module(ECM) software. The failure persisted and the dealer then diagnosed the vehicle with an emissions failure. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 60,200.Read more

National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Office of Defects Investigation 1200 New Jersey Avenue SE Washington, DC 20590 Subject: Safety Defect Complaint – Integrated Charging Control Unit (ICCU) Failure Vehicle: 2026 Genesis GV70 Electrified (EV) VIN: [XXX] To Whom It May Concern, I am submitting this complaint to report a safety-related failure involving my 2026 Genesis
... Electrified GV70, which experienced a sudden “Check Electric Vehicle System” warning consistent with a failure of the Integrated Charging Control Unit (ICCU). Incident Summary On February 5, 2026, at approximately 4,480 miles, the vehicle displayed a “Check Electric Vehicle System” alert and was no longer safe to operate. Due to the risk of propulsion loss and electrical system malfunction, the vehicle required flatbed towing to an authorized Genesis dealership for evaluation. A dealership service advisor subsequently informed me that the vehicle has been diagnosed with an ICCU failure, a component responsible for charging the 12-volt battery and maintaining critical electrical systems. Failure of this component can result in loss of drivability, propulsion limitations, or vehicle shutdown, creating a significant roadway safety hazard. Safety Concern Failures of the ICCU have been widely reported across Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis electric vehicles and have been the subject of prior recalls due to the potential for unexpected loss of motive power while driving. Despite prior recall actions, failures continue to occur, including in my vehicle. Current Status The vehicle remains out of service pending repair, and no written repair completion timeline has been provided. The failure rendered the vehicle unusable and required emergency towing. I respectfully request that the Office of Defects Investigation review continuing ICCU failures affecting Genesis, Hyundai, and Kia electric vehicles to determine whether additional corrective action or expanded remedies INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATIORead more

At about 800 miles i noticed ticking from the engine and random and intermittent jerking. Some of which were very severe that felt like someone rear ended me. I took into the dealer with my complaints. They kept my vehicle for 2.5 days and didnt give me a loaner. The my were unable to reproduce the jerking and said the ticking was normal. They showed me the ticking and said its normal and will go
... away after it warms up. They did a vehicle update and said it will help. They said theres nothing else they will do. I knew something was still wrong but felt like they wouldnt do anything and I couldn't give up my vehicle for days at a time. I continued to drive it and was planning on taking it to a other dealer for a check up. But at about 3500 miles. One day the truck began squealing and grinding. I attempted to drive the truck home and the truck just died on the freeway. Luckily I knew something was wrong so I stayed in the slow lane so it was easy for me to get off. Thats the first time the check engine light came on but it was too late. I had it towed to the dealer and they checked and it was catastrophic engine failure.Read more

My 2017 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid has a permanent and recurring DTC P1326 (Knock signal range/performance) from the Knock Sensor Detection System (KSDS), indicating potential connecting rod bearing wear in the Nu 2.0L engine. The vehicle enters limp mode (reduced power, limited acceleration/speed) on the highway under load, with hard engine vibration, tinkling/knocking noise from under hood, and signi
... ficantly reduced MPG. These symptoms create a serious safety risk: sudden loss of power at highway speeds (e.g., 50+ mph) makes it difficult to maintain speed, merge, or avoid hazards, increasing crash risk or stranding in traffic. In rare cases, bearing wear can lead to engine seizure or failure. The problem first appeared summer 2024 at approximately 115,000 miles. The Check Engine Light illuminates (cristmass tree), and limp mode triggers during highway driving. I have an OBD scan showing confirmed, pending, and permanent P1326, plus related hybrid communication codes (U0293, U1004) likely secondary to the protection mode. The vehicle has been inspected multiple times (four visits) by a Hyundai dealer. Each time they scanned the code, performed basic checks, but stated “engine is working normal, no road vibration, nothing” and did not resolve the issue. The code returns immediately after clearing. I replaced the knock sensor, engine mounts, spark plugs, ignition coils myself—did not fix it. Dealers did not perform the full bearing clearance test or follow TSB 22-01-023H (Service Campaign T6G) procedure as required for this known issue (related to Recall 209 and Campaign 966). The component (engine/connecting rod bearings) is still in the vehicle and available for inspection. No police, insurance, or other parties have inspected it beyond the dealer. This matches a widespread known defect in 2011–2019 Sonata Hybrids (bearing wear triggering P1326/limp mode).Read more

on April 7, 2025, our 2024 Kia EV6 was towed away from our driveway after an ICCU failure the day before. The tow truck driver attempted to jumpstart it with a battery eliminator and he could not. He could not get it shifted into neutral and had to pull it up on the ramp with the back tires stationary, sliding up the ramp. They had it until we got it back just before April 22, and then on that day
... , it was towed away again because of a 12 V battery failure. If this first computer failure had happened while we were on the highway, we would have lost power in traffic. We were told that the replacement ICCU part which we received was a different model number than the first one, but I have heard on Facebook discussion groups that it is identical and just as likely to have a failure. Our Kia EV6 is a 2024 model, an extended battery version Wind AWD. Both the initial incident on April 6 and the second incident on April 21 happened just outside my garage after just backing the car out of the garage going maybe 5 mph. For some reason, the system will not let me upload a video of the first time it was towed up the ramp, only the second time when it was taken away for the 12 V battery failure, but it also would not drive in that condition. I include parts of texts with the Kia service center. It took them one week to be convinced that it was, indeed, the ICCU.Read more

I own a 2018 Ford Edge SEL 2.0L EcoBoost (VIN: [XXX] ). On August 24, 2021, with approximately 72,062 miles, the vehicle was taken to a Ford dealership due to engine performance issues. The dealership diagnosed coolant intrusion into the engine cylinders. The dealership determined the engine was not repairable and required full engine replacement. The repair invoice explicitly states coolant pres

The vehicle was properly maintained, and I have oil change and service records from that period. No warning or misuse contributed to the failure. I later contacted Ford Motor Company to request reimbursement, as this failure appears consistent with the widely reported 2.0L EcoBoost coolant intrusion defect affecting similar Ford vehicles. Ford declined assistance, citing mileage and timing, and stated no active recall applied. After recall-related software updates were performed on my 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E, the vehicle began experiencing repeated electrical and climate control failures. The heating and defrost system stopped working, leaving the vehicle without heat and causing the windows to fog, which reduces visibility in cold weather and creates unsafe driving conditions. The vehicle has been taken to multiple a
... uthorized Ford dealerships for inspection and repair; however, the problem returned immediately after the repair. The issue was reproduced and confirmed by a second dealer. A required part is currently on back order until the end of Feburary, leaving the vehicle unrepaired for an extended period. In addition, the vehicle experienced 12-volt battery failure and slow charging after the last recall update. These issues were not present prior to the recall. There were no warning lights before the failures occurred. During severe winter weather conditions in Pennsylvania, the lack of heat and defrost made it extremely difficult and unsafe to operate the vehicle. Because of reduced visibility and freezing interior temperatures, the vehicle could not be safely driven and, due to frigid temperatures, has remained parked. Current Mileage: ~94,000 miles Ownership: Second owner (purchased less than one year old at 17,035 miles) I purchased this vehicle in December 2018 when it had approximately 17,035 miles. Since purchase, the vehicle has been consistently and properly maintained, primarily at authorized Hyundai dealerships, with documented oil and filter changes throughout my ownership. All required Hyundai recall
... s and updates have been completed. As confirmed by Hyundai service records, my vehicle is eligible for extended warranty protections under the Theta II Engine Settlement, which explicitly applies to subsequent owners and is not limited to the original purchaser. Engine Failure & Repair History Beginning in mid-2025, my vehicle began to exhibit progressive and excessive oil consumption, despite regular maintenance. Hyundai dealerships performed multiple Hyundai-directed corrective actions, including: PCV valve replacement Multiple oil consumption tests Combustion chamber cleaning (paid out of pocket after Hyundai Motors denied goodwill) These measures failed to resolve the issue. Hyundai’s own oil consumption testing confirmed: 1.2 quarts consumed, followed by 1.4 quarts consumed, indicating worsening internal engine failure West Houston Hyundai has subsequently advised that engine replacement is required, yet Hyundai Motor America has refused coverage, and I was quoted $5,872 for engine replacement and labor at my expense. Engine failure requiring replacement at 94,000 miles is not normal wear and tear and is inconsistent with reasonable consumer expectations or Hyundai’s powertrain representations. Importantly: The vehicle has never been cited for neglect, sludge, or improper maintenance,Oil consumption worsened after Hyundai-directed repairs Hyundai has not identified any misuse or disqualifying condition The failure pattern is consistent with known Theta II piston/ring defectsRead more

On 11/22/18, Thanksgiving Day, I was driving our 2 year-old Ford Lariat F-150 Supercrew alone on a backroad in Northern Colorado. I took the truck that was still under warranty to the local dealer we bought the truck from the following week as it was a holiday, where I left the truck for a few days, and upon pickup, was told my concerns could "not be replicated" other than an oil leak. I spoke to the 'managers' in a backroom who were 2 men who LITERALLY told me I just needed to learn how to drive my truck better. I asked them if they had actually driven the truck to LISTEN to what a truck still under warranty sounded like after it how downshifted for no logical reason and dead stopped in the road after locking up. They did not. I told them I thought they wiped the codes and were relying on computers to diagnose issues and if Ford knew they had a problem and were hiding it, and people died, Ford would be sued. True story. I reported this to the FBI due to the response because it was disturbing. I know what happened to me when our truck downshifted. If I was on the highway people would have died. Period. Driving down the interstate I noticed the steering wheel lightly jumping intermittently like it wanted to take control and turn itself. A few minutes later the power steering completely went out and the dash board display ESC OFF, Power Steering. I had no control of the vehicle. After turning the car off and then back on it would go away but happen later. Tried the recommended disconnect of the ba
... ttery and hard restart and it would be fine for a little bit but happen again. Fast forward 2 weeks later and now completely out. This is extremely dangerous and a recall was already conducted for this year, make and model, but not on ALL VINs associated. This recall needs to be reinstated covering all VINs of this year before someone is seriously hurt or possibly killed.Read more

The vehicle has an ongoing oil leak originating from the engine/drivetrain area. The affected components include the intermediate shaft and related seals, which are subject to Ford technical service bulletins, and potentially the plastic engine oil pan and its sealing surfaces. The vehicle is currently operable and remains available for inspection upon request. he vehicle is actively leaking eng
... ine oil at approximately one drop per day. Oil leakage presents a safety risk due to the potential for oil contacting hot engine or exhaust components, reduced lubrication if the condition worsens, and the possibility of oil dripping onto road surfaces, which could reduce traction for other motorists. The condition has not caused an accident to date, but it presents an ongoing safety concern. Yes. A Ford dealership identified and documented oil leakage during a scheduled service visit in November. In addition, the dealership acknowledged known issues with the affected components and confirmed that the vehicle continues to exhibit oil leakage. The manufacturer has declined repair outside of warranty. The vehicle has been inspected by an authorized Ford dealership on multiple occasions. Ford Motor Company executive customer care reviewed the case and documented a decision to decline repair based on warranty status. The vehicle has not been inspected by police or insurance representatives. No warning lamps or messages were present prior to the discovery of the oil leak. The condition was first identified visually during a scheduled service visit in November when oil leakage was observed. The vehicle currently exhibits ongoing oil leakage without warning lamps or messages. I am also concerned that this model has had several recalls regarding the engin and our falls just outside the range of Ford recall it was build in January of 21 and the recall starts in May of 21. I would like to have that expanded to my vwhicle as well.Read more

While performing a factory recall on the RV, the mobile RV tech discovered underlying issues. He suggested that we get an in-depth evaluation. I contacted and dropped the RV at the shop for diagnosis. The shop discovered extensive frame damage (weld break) at the main beam connecting the pin box and also total frame break and separation on the upper deck floor support. There is substantial floor s
... agging above the outriggers extending from the living area through the back of the RV. The whole rear of the RV is sagging, causing wall cracking and slideout damage. The shop also measured a considerable deflection (pin box to front bottom frame) while performing the manufacturer's instructions for the measurements. The manufacturer has denied our claim and we are tasked with getting home to permanently park the RV. The manufacturer communicated with the shop regarding their finds and the denial, but has not contacted me in any way. All recalls/TSBs have been performed. The rear TSB has not fixed the rear frame sagging and the front TSB was not 100% completed by a dealer, in that several lag bolts were not replaced and none of them had adhesive applied. We have been fortunate that we have had no doors open while traveling. I composed a list of the items we found and submitted it with photos to the manufacturer. They said that the RV qualified for the "Customer Satisfaction Campaign" and that it should take ~1hr for a visual inspection. They only paid 0.10 hrs.Read more

While attempting a left-hand turn, the steering wheel suddenly became stiff and unresponsive, as if the mechanical gear had bound. This sudden resistance made it impossible to complete the turn, causing the vehicle to strike a curb at low speed. A post-accident inspection at Lee Johnson Mazda (RO# 649854) confirmed extensive damage, including a bent inner tie rod, a damaged front wheel bearing/hub
... assembly, and wheel/tire damage totaling over $6,500. The dealership stated no electronic fault codes were present in the computer, but the physical behavior matches the 'sticky steering' symptoms currently under federal investigation for other Mazda models (Recall 24V022 / RQ26002). I believe a mechanical failure in the steering gear caused the collision.Read more
