While driving under normal conditions with no collision or impact, the side curtain airbag in my Dodge Charger Scat Pack deployed spontaneously. During this process, i was informed that the VIN has an active safety recall related to the airbag/SRS system. However, the dealership declined to perform recall-related inspection or repairs due to the vehicle having a rebuilt title. I’m concerned my recall remedy is being denied.Read more

My wife's 2025 Buick Enclave with less than 10,000 miles (around 9,800) stranded us on the highway. Transmission was shuddering and felt like we were hitting rumble straps on acceleration. Then, we couldn't go over 18 mph, then it just stopped. Couldn't even pull off to the side of the road because the electronics wouldn't let the vehicle go into neutral to allow us to push it onto the shoulder.
... Eventually we got it off the Interstate to a residential area. When tow truck arrived, they couldn't get it into neutral and had to drag it onto the wrecker with generous amounts of WD-40. That can't be good for the vehicle. The vehicle is at Randy Wise Buick in Fenton, Michigan. We were lucky not to have been hit on the Interstate. Biggest worry is not the transmission problem but that we couldn't even push it off the roadway.Read more

problem is when you go to check the oil do you think you’re gonna find a low oil situation and what happens is the oil is actually overfilled however it’s not overfilled because you put too much oil in it. It’s overfilled because gasoline is leaking into the oil pan. So the oil is diluted and it actually doesn’t even seem like oil. It seems like dirty gas. That’s how much gas gets into i
... t. Supposedly this is a known issue after searching it on the Internet, this is known, and it happens with this making my vehicle. The manufacturer should be responsible for fixing it. Supposedly the fix is either changing the fuel pump or fixing the valves or maybe a combination of both either way the consumer should not be stuck with this. This is a design error or defect. It says there’s also a problem with the gasket I feel I should not have to pay to get this fixed. This is a designed defect and they sold the car this way knowing afterwards that there’s an issue with it. My crank case is filled with gas when I pull the dipstick out. It drips like water. If you look at the full line on the dipstick it’s about 1 inch over the full line and the oil is virtually useless. The car also runs an idles rough and it’s constantly idling up and idling down and that’s probably because the gas is leaking into the engine. Please look into this and I appreciate anything you can do. This is definitely a Ford issue. They should be responsible there’s nothing I did to this particles this problem. I maintained my vehicles. I did everything I was supposed to do and this problem arose because it’s defect in the car quite frankly if I would’ve known it, there’s no way I would’ve bought it. I feel the public should know about this and I feel that they should be responsible to fix it. Thank you very much. I appreciate all your help in time. 1. What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? The engine and the HVAC systems. Specifically, a persistent "ghost misfire"—where the engine vibrates and shudders without triggering a dashboard warning light—and a total heater failure. The vehicle is currently held at the dealership; all service records (RO# 367641, 367891, 367980, 368179)
... are available. 2. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? The "ghost misfire" causes shaking and hesitation during acceleration, creating a risk of losing power or stalling in high-speed traffic. Because the vehicle's diagnostics do not trigger a warning light for this condition, the driver has no advance notice of a potential engine failure. 3. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Yes. Dealership technicians confirmed the misfire on Feb 9 (RO# 367891) and found a defective spark plug gap (.024” vs. .036”). On Feb 25, the service consultant confirmed the "ghost misfire" remained active. The heater failure was confirmed via a 'Heater Support Pump Dry Run' fault code (RO# 367641). 4. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? The vehicle has been inspected by dealership technicians. Formal complaints have also been filed with the California Bureau of Automotive Repair and the California Attorney General. 5. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? Symptoms began following a service on Jan 30. Feb 8: Exhaust malfunction light (MIL) appeared briefly with severe shaking. Feb 9–present: Exhaust malfunction warning lights appeared briefly and then disappeared, but the engine vibration and "ghost misfire" symptoms remain active and undetected by the vehicle's onboard diagnostics. Feb 17: Total loss of heat occurred during a highway drive without a dashboard warning lampRead more

Wednesday (02/18/2026), while driving to work, the vehicle stalled in the middle of the road at a red light. It would not move at all. I had to call roadside assistance, and the vehicle was ultimately towed. Being stranded in the middle of an intersection with traffic approaching at speed was not only humiliating — it was life-threatening. Vehicles were coming from behind, and I narrowly avoided
... what could have been a serious accident. Suddenly, my dashboard started showing all sorts or error and warning message. It showed ESC (Electronic Stability Control) error, Hill start assist error, Maneuver braking function currently not available, error start/stop, Rear traffic alert is currently not available, Transmission error etc. To make matters worse, the tow truck took approximately 1.5 hours to arrive, leaving me exposed at a busy junction the entire time. This incident caused significant mental distress and professional consequences, as I was unable to reach my office and had to formally explain my absence with supporting documentation. This level of unreliability from a new vehicle is simply unacceptable. It has not even been a year since I purchased this vehicle, and I have experienced repeated issues from the very beginning. This situation is extremely frustrating and completely unacceptable for a brand-new vehicle. Beyond these serious safety incidents, I have faced ongoing issues with the infotainment system since purchase. I was repeatedly told it was a software issue and that it had been fixed, yet the problem continues to persist.Read more

On 2/4/2026, my vehicle (2019 GMC Sierra AT4 and VIN # 3GTP9EED5KG240494) experienced a catastrophic failure of the engine oil cooler lines. This is a well-documented manufacturing defect involving the failure of the crimp joints between the rubber hose and metal tubing. This failure occurred abruptly, causing massive oil loss and posing a severe safety risk due to the potential for sudden loss of
... oil pressure and engine seizure while operating the vehicle at highway speeds. This specific component failure is recognized by General Motors under Customer Satisfaction Program (CSP) N212326940. GM explicitly acknowledged this failure as a manufacturing defect. Despite the fact that the defect is inherent to the part’s design—and not a result of typical "wear and tear"—GM has denied my request for reimbursement, citing that the vehicle is outside the standard 36,000-mile warranty period. I exhausted all good-faith efforts to resolve this through GMC’s internal escalation process. I spoke with a representative and a supervisor, both of whom refused to honor a reimbursement request based on the manufacturing defect. They refused to consider that the defect, as documented in GM’s own internal bulletins, is independent of mileage and that the repair was performed at an authorized GM dealership. I am seeking full reimbursement of $2,171.58 for the repair of a known, safety-related manufacturing defect. GM is failing to stand behind their "Professional Grade" standards by refusing to cover a part they have already admitted is defective. I request that your office mediate this dispute to facilitate a full refund of my out-of-pocket repair costs.Read more
