The contact owns a 2013 Ford Explorer. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V031000 (Structure); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that while driving 60 MPH, the passenger's side A-pillar trim detached from the vehicle. The local dealer was contacted and confirmed that the part for the recall repair was not available. The d
... ealer used black tape as an interim repair. The contact became aware that the seal around the front passenger’s side windshield had started to deteriorate. Recently, the contact noticed small amounts of water occasionally leaking inside the vehicle from the front passenger’s side windshield. The vehicle was not repaired after the most recent failure. The contact stated that the driver’s side A-pillar trim was loose. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue, and no assistance was offered. The manufacturer informed the contact that the seal and leak were symptoms of the recall, but not related to the recall, and therefore not covered under the recall. The failure mileage was unknown.Read more

On April 24, 2025, I plugged my Kia EV6 into my 48-amp hardwired ChargePoint HomeFlex at 7:26 PM. Around 10:30 PM I heard a noise outside but did not investigate. At 12:25 AM I noticed I had not received a “charging complete” notification. The Kia Connect app showed the vehicle at 74% and no longer charging. The ChargePoint app was unresponsive.\n\nThe next morning I found the charger’s 60-a
... mp breaker had tripped. After resetting the breaker and rebooting the charger, the EV6 would not start charging and displayed no “Charging started” or “Charging unsuccessful” message.\n\nI then attempted to charge using a portable Tesla Level 1 charger on a 120V GFCI outlet. The EV6 briefly announced “Charging started,” but the dash showed no charging data. The outlet’s GFCI breaker tripped. After resetting, the breaker immediately tripped again when reconnecting the vehicle.\n\nI attempted to drive to a nearby DC fast charger. Upon shifting into drive, the vehicle displayed “Check electric vehicle system” and entered power-limited mode (would not exceed 20 MPH). I returned home. While backing into my driveway, the vehicle triggered a red alert with “Stop vehicle and check power supply.”\n\nThe vehicle was towed to a Kia dealership. They diagnosed a failed ICCU (Integrated Charging Control Unit) and high-voltage fuse. The ICCU recall issue is known for this model. Repairs took over two weeks due to parts delays. The ICCU and high-voltage fuse were replaced.\n\nThe ICCU failure also damaged my home ChargePoint charger, which required replacement under warrantyRead more

The Keystone Fuzion model 430 RV has a structural issue. I have been following other owners and there seems to be many similar model RV’s with the same crack under the Master Bedroom. The crack appeared after transport and within 3 years after purchasing new and continued to spread to over 15” before I paid to have it repaired. Keystone has acknowledged it is a known problem, however declines

I paid approximately $2,500 to have the dealer make repairs because I would not want to be the cause of an accident if the crack continued across the body and it detaching from the RV while being transporting and causing serious injury or death. Vehicle experiences engine stalling and failure to restart at intersections when the Auto Idle Stop (AIS) feature is engaged. This creates an immediate life-safety hazard as the vehicle becomes non-functional in live traffic. This has occurred 2 times. Once on surface streets and once on the highway in stop-and-go traffic. This issue persists despite Service Bulletins 23-008 and 23-009. Honda Cor

Separately, during a 37-day repair attempt (Jan 22 – March 2, 2026), AutoNation Honda Chandler admitted the vehicle was sold with an 'incorrect' battery type (Lead Acid instead of required AGM), which caused electrical instability. The dealership attempted a repair on Feb 13, but the vehicle failed to start again on Feb 11 during a pickup attempt. The dealer has since refused to provide accurate service records or further communication. The vehicle remains unsafe to drive as it continues to stall randomly.Read more

While driving at approximately 55 mph, the vehicle intermittently loses throttle response. Pressing the accelerator results in no increase in RPM or vehicle speed, even when the pedal is fully depressed. After 3–5 seconds, power suddenly returns. The issue consistently occurs after the vehicle has been driven for about 20 minutes and is at normal operating temperature. During some events, a “P
... owertrain Malfunction / Reduced Power” warning with a wrench indicator appears. The vehicle is equipped with the 10R80 10-speed automatic transmission. The failure occurs during steady highway cruising and creates a serious safety concern, as the vehicle will not accelerate when needed for merging or passing. A buzzing noise is heard during the loss of power, and engine RPM remains steady with no response to throttle input. This intermittent loss of power at highway speeds presents a significant safety risk.Read more

I own a 2017 Honda Pilot. The vehicle has been stalling and losing power while driving. The loss of power creates a serious safety risk, especially in traffic and at highway speeds, as the vehicle hesitates and struggles to accelerate. The High-Pressure Fuel Pump was replaced at my expense after the vehicle began stalling and losing power. Despite this repair, the problem has persisted. I am now
... being told by Honda that the Low-Pressure Fuel Pump also needs to be replaced. I have already paid for significant repairs, including replacement of the High-Pressure Fuel Pump, water pump, timing belt, and related components. My vehicle’s VIN is not included in any fuel pump recall, although similar vehicles appear to have had related recalls. I did receive a warranty extension for the torque converter, but I have received no notification or warranty support regarding the Low-Pressure Fuel Pump. The stalling and loss of power place me and other drivers at risk, particularly in intersections and during highway driving. The issue has been diagnosed by a Honda dealer/service center. The failed components are available for inspection upon request. No consistent warning lamps appeared prior to failure. I am concerned this may be a broader safety defect affecting vehicles outside the current recall population.Read more

While driving my 2016 Volkswagen GTI MK7 Autobahn Edition with approximately 37,000 miles, the power steering suddenly and without warning failed completely. The steering wheel became extremely difficult to turn, requiring significant physical force to operate. Simultaneously, both the TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System) warning light and the ESC (Electronic Stability Control) warning light ill
... uminated on the dashboard. I brought the vehicle to an authorized Volkswagen dealership, Deel Volkswagen in Miami, Florida. The dealership diagnosed the issue as a complete failure of the steering rack and pinion assembly and quoted approximately $6,000 for replacement. This failure occurred at only 37,000 miles — far below any reasonable expectation of component life for a steering rack, which should last well over 100,000 miles under normal use. The failure was sudden, with no prior warning signs or gradual degradation. A sudden and total loss of power steering assist while driving at any speed constitutes a serious and unreasonable safety risk, as it dramatically increases the force required to steer and can cause loss of vehicle control. A review of MK7 GTI owner forums and communities reveals this is a recurring and documented issue among this vehicle population, suggesting a systemic defect in the steering rack assembly used in this model. I am requesting that NHTSA investigate whether a safety defect exists in the 2016 Volkswagen GTI steering system that warrants a recall and manufacturer-funded remedy.Read more

At 96,000 miles (3,000 miles after the extended warranty expired), I noticed the "GM tick" more prominent and had more of a metallic sound than it ever did. Upon further investigation, it was found that a collapsed lifter may be the culprit. The truck was brought to the dealer and it was confirmed that the #1 hydraulic lifter had collapsed and needed replacement. This work was approved and toni
... ght, I received a call from Rivard Buick GMC saying that the collapsed lifter also caused significant wear on the camshaft which also now requires replacement. Loss of power on the road poses a significant risk as I carry my children in the vehicle. No warning lamps, messages, or other indicators appeared before or when the issue occurred. The issue was reproduced by the manufacturer/dealer. The dealer Service Manager confirmed that this is extremely common with these trucks with the 6.2L engine and said it was a design flaw due to Dynamic Fuel Management, as well as the oil viscosity recommendation from GM being too low. The year group before and after the 2020 has been recalled along with TSB's issued, however, this group is not part of it. I contacted GM Customer Service (Case [XXX]) and was offered a 10% discount on the repair, being told that this is a "great deal considering the vehicle is out of warranty". GM Customer Service has now resorted to not answering any further questions after several attempts to reach someone. This is also after replacing the 10-speed transmission that was also not part of any recall but that was such an issue that the dealer was only able to source used transmissions rather than new parts. Clearly GM won't make the right decisions to back their products or customers, so NHTSA intervention is necessary. The dealer informed the contact, and the manufacturer requested that the dealer release the vehicle back to the owner. Almost every day since new the vehicle will alarm 'brake' on dash while driving on 2 lane back roads that have some slight curves (these are all around our house). At least once a month the car will automatically apply the brakes while coming around a curve or over a blind hill. Both of these scenarios occur 50/50 when there is oncoming traffic or no oncoming traffic. It can happen with someone
... ahead of me in the same lane, but not as often. In all cases throughout the years there has not be a need for braking. In one instance a few years ago we were driving on a divided 4 lane state highway. Cruise control was on and ACC was on. We moved into the left lane to pass a car. When we came within ~20' of the car, the Pilot engaged in automatic braking hard as it detected the car we were attempting to pass as an obstacle in front of us. There was never any danger of hitting the other car. However, a car following us almost rear-ended our car due to the unforseen/not needed hard braking. My wife will no longer use cruise control in this vehicle since this happened. The dash 'brake' warning is easy to replicate if you drive for a while on the roads near my house. The auto braking is not able to reproduced on demand. Now the car is complaining to see the dealer about a CMBS (collision mitigation braking system) error. I'll have to troubleshoot this (or maybe just turn it off), but the entire system has been sub par and accident prone since original purchase new in 2019.Read more

The dealership noted that any fuel related issue has safety implications (fire, etc) I had a check engine light on which has since gone away. The shop ran a test and noted that the car was running in "lean" mode due to this part issue. See [XXX] , et al. v. American Honda Motor Co. Inc., Case No. XXX, in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California. I received a notice from American Honda concerning a warranty extension related to TSB 25-061, which would seem to indicate that this is a known flaw that should be handled as a safety recall.
