Despite the seriousness of the defect and the safety warnings issued, the vehicle remained without a repair solution for months.Jeep has now discontinued the vehicles altogether with no solution for the vehicle. Due to these conditions, the vehicle could not be safely operated or used for its intended purpose. The unresolved safety defect effectively rendered the vehicle unsafe and unusable. When the check engine light illuminated, the vehicle was inspected by an independent mechanic who diagnosed the problem as “There is an internal engine failure on number 3 cylinder. Anti-freeze is leaking into the combustion chamber and going out the tailpipe. The engine needs to be replaced.” There were no indications prior to the check engine light warning as the car is well maintained (g
... arage kept, regular oil changes/maintenance by the Ford dealership where the vehicle was purchased and only 63,000 miles on the vehicle). The vehicle does start but is considered undrivable for any distance since the engine failure could cause the vehicle to become inoperable at any time. However, the vehicle can be made available for inspection if driving a short distance or possibly having the vehicle towed. What we are left with is a vehicle that is a total loss. We are unable to sell or trade it and continue to incur insurance costs.Read more

The contact owns a 2016 Dodge Dart. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V674000 (Power Train); however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to AutoZone to test the battery, alternator,

The vehicle was then taken to another mechanic, who replaced an AC cord due to liquid leaking from underneath the vehicle. This mechanic suggested replacing the thermostat if the check engine warning light remained illuminated. While at a stop sign, the vehicle jerked before accelerating, and while driving approximately 35-45 MPH. The vehicle was driven to the mother's residence, where the vehicle remained for 3 days before being restarted. The vehicle remained parked for approximately a week before the contact drove back to the residence, and the check engine warning light and the battery light were illuminated. The vehicle remained parked while the wheel bearing, headlights, and oil change were repaired. A certified mechanic replaced the thermostat, and another inspected the vehicle but could not identify any other failures. After the repair was completed, the contact noticed that the vehicle continued to jerk while driving at various speeds, and the sensation was more prominent whenever the AC unit was activated. While driving approximately 35 MPH and attempting to accelerate, the vehicle decelerated, the battery light illuminated, and the vehicle lost power. The contact was able to restart the vehicle and coast downhill into their grandmother's driveway nearby. After waiting a minute, the contact started the vehicle and was able to drive to the residence, approximately 5 minutes away, at 20 MPH to avoid additional failure. The vehicle was taken to AutoZone, where no battery or alternator failure was found. The mechanic suggested it might bRead more

I was driving my car one day and as I was coming down the road the car jerked and picked up speed like on its on and I had to really stop abruptly to stop the car. I thought that was strange, I didn't have any warning lights or any indication that anything was going on I just thought it was weird, then like 2 days later as was driving the car would do this random jerk but again no lights on any in
... dication anything was wrong so I went to work car seemed fine, got on the high way to go pick up my grand kid after work and when I signaled to change lanes attempted to accelerate to pass, the car just hummed and my speed started to diminish and I immediately coasted to nearest exit because I could not accelerate more than 15 mies, I coasted to a strip mall turned the car off waited til I thought the car settled for a moment and attempted to start the car and when I put the car in gear it jerked but as I tried to accelerate it just hummed and no speed overc15 . So I left the car got it towed the next day to another shop because any ford dealerships I called to see if I could tow for diagnostic test said they had extensive waiting period like one had weeks before they could look at the car. So I had it towed to another car lot who had a good business rating to be told that it seems to look like something had came loose from the transmission. That i may have to get it replaced, this car starts right up, didn't give me any indication of a problem and doesn't even have a hundred thousand miles on it. Where did ford drop the ball on this car? Im very disappointed , I attempted to drive the car around the corner one day trying to explain to my neighbor the weird behavior of the car and the transmission piece I was told that cane loose, and the car ran fine for about 20 minutes even picking up speed and everything then the moment I got back on my block its like it got warm and then we had to push it back on the driveway it went back to not being able to accelerate.againRead more

I have had issues with my car since the day that I bought it. First, my car squealed every time that I backed up. I took it to my local Ford dealership 3 or 4 times without this ever being fixed. This then progressed to my brakes squealing anytime they’re used. I barely have 25,000 miles on my car. Additionally, I have had numerous occasions where my car will get stuck and not shift, not acceler
... ate which is extremely scary when merging into traffic, the RPM’s will jump between 3,000 and 5,000 and stay there while I cannot accelerate or shift. The vehicle has had episodes of shaking while I am driving, and now there is a grinding sound when driving for unknown reasons. My car has also sounded like there is a hole in the exhaust, although there isn’t. I’m not sure what’s causing the noise. Now I have come to find out that there are two active recalls on my car; one for the PCM control module (NHTSA Recall Number: 25V-467, Ford Recall Number: 24S55), and the SYNC/ display software update (NHTSA Recall Number: 26V-123, Ford Recall Number: 25S06) which is a lesser concern. I called the dealer that I bought my car from and they can’t service my car for the PCM control module via an appointment until 4/24/26 (over a month from now when I don’t feel safe driving my vehicle). They said that I can drop my car off before 4/24 for about a week, but that they can’t provide a loaner. I can’t be without a vehicle. Per Ford there are not parts for a permanent remedy anyway, and this is only a temporary fix as it is, which I don’t have confidence in. That’s ridiculous because the recall came out 7/2025. It’s been almost a year. They also told me that the SYNC software update is only a customer satisfaction, not a recall, so they won’t fix it, which is incorrect. I called Ford customer satisfaction and was also denied a loaner car. The only option that I was given was the possibility of a buyback program, which didn’t sound promising. I’m stuck in a car that I don’t feel safe in.Read more

My 2017 2.0L Ford Escape experienced the commonly known coolant intrusion issue that this model faces. It started out as a P300 cylinder misfire code every now and then. I replaced all the spark plugs and coil packs but the engine light would still come on. The vehicle was looked at by Ford. They conducted a cylinder pressure test which indicated microfractures in the engine block. They quoted a
... replacement close to $8k. The mileage was maybe around 90k or 100k in March 2025. This was past the point of the free one time engine replacement with max mileage at 83k miles. I continued to drive the vehicle hoping it would last a little longer. The vehicle's heating stopped working over time (since it was loosing coolant). Soon after, on a 27 degree winter night of December 2nd, 2025 , I was driving the vehicle and a flashing message came on the screen saying something like "engine overheating, stop the vehicle safely now". The temperature gauge was all the way up on H. The next morning, I saw that the coolant reservoir was empty and that the oil cap had a milkshake appearance indicating coolant had mixed with the oil. The mileage was at 115,763 and I haven't driven it since. This voluntary one time engine replacement under the "Customer Satisfaction Program 21N12" should not be conditional with how many vehicles have been affected by this issue. This should be a full recall.Read more

I own a 2018 Honda Accord and have been experiencing an ongoing issue where multiple warning lights appear on the dashboard at the same time. The lights include several safety and system warnings, making it look like many different systems in the vehicle are malfunctioning simultaneously. I have taken the vehicle to be serviced and attempted to fix the issues that were identified. However, even a
... fter repairs were made, the dashboard warning lights continue to stay on or return shortly after. It has become frustrating because the vehicle continues to show problems even when something has already been repaired. This situation makes it difficult to know whether there is a real safety issue occurring with the car or if the warning system itself is malfunctioning. Having so many warning lights on at once also creates concern about the reliability and safety of the vehicle, especially since several of the warnings relate to important systems such as braking, driver assistance features, and engine performance. After researching the issue, I discovered that many other owners of the 2018 Honda Accord have reported experiencing the same problem with multiple dashboard warnings appearing at once. Because this appears to be a widespread issue, I am submitting this complaint so it can be documented and investigated further. I believe there may be an underlying defect causing these repeated warning lights despite repairs being made.Read more

There was no reason for the sidewalls of this tire to blow. The air pressure was fine and there was plenty of life left on the tread. Based on the recall on the other size of this tire model, I would guess this size is defective in the sidewalls as well.Read more
