1. Component/System: 2022 Hyundai Santa Fe 8-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT), specifically the transmission oil pump or hydraulic pressure system. Inspection availability: The vehicle is currently at McGrath City Hyundai in Chicago and can be made available for inspection upon request. 2. The transmission exhibited slipping gears, delayed gear engagement, loud mechanical noise, and a transmis
... sion warning light. These conditions create the risk of sudden loss of drive power, unexpected stalling, or inability to control the vehicle, which could cause accidents, collisions, or injury to the driver, passengers, or others on the road. 3. A technician at McGrath City Hyundai initially informed us that the transmission oil pump had failed, which aligns with the symptoms. Later, another dealership representative claimed there was no issue, and the fluid was simply low. No written diagnostic confirmation or independent verification has been provided to date. 4. Hyundai corporate has been contacted and opened a case, but they refused to provide documentation or details of any inspection or repair, and did not assign a supervisor to provide clarification. No police, insurance, or third-party inspections have been performed. 5. Symptoms first appeared on March 9, 2026, including: Transmission warning light; Delayed gear engagement; Slipping gears; Loud mechanical noise from the transmissionRead more

On March 11, 2026, the vehicle's DC/DC Converter failed completely without warning. It was towed to the Land Rover of Monmouth (NJ) where this failure was confirmed. The failure of the DC/DC converter resulted in the vehicle going completely "dead" while driving with my wife and children. There was no warning. Fortunately for my family and I, it occurred on a side street by my home and did not
... occur on a highway or other busy road. Had this occurred on a highway or busy road, this would have absolutely put our lives in danger. As noted, the failure of the DC/DC converter was confirmed by the Land Rover of Monmouth (NJ) authorized dealership (I have a video from the dealership stating and confirming the failure). There were zero warnings at the time it occurred; it just lost power and shut down. Based on my research after this incident, it appears to be a pervasive problem with Land Rover and while there appear to be active recalls for certain Land Rover models, inexplicably, there is no current recall for this particular model. My wife and I are very concerned that even if/when it is repaired, this will happen again. This is the primary vehicle my wife uses for transportation with our young children and I am extremely afraid of the risk that this poses to their lives. I've notified the dealership from where I purchased it and was directed to contact Land Rover USA. I have not heard back from Land Rover USA. This well-documented, pervasive defect puts lives at risk and is extremely dangerous. As an attorney, I find Land Rover's knowledge of this frequent and extensive issue -- while only having a limited recall and not providing any information to owners of other Land Rover vehicles -- is a reckless disregard for the safety of others and creates an unreasonable risk of harm to others, like my family.Read more

After a panic stop, back seat (opposite the driver seat) automatically collapsed. While driving at normal roadway speeds, the vehicle experienced a sudden and unexpected loss of power during acceleration. The engine remained running, but the vehicle failed to respond appropriately to throttle input, resulting in a significant reduction in forward movement. This created a dangerous situation, particularly in traffic conditions where consistent acceleration is required. The issu
... e appears to be related to the transmission or powertrain system, though the exact component failure is UNKNOWN at this time. This condition poses a serious safety risk, as loss of power while driving can increase the likelihood of rear-end collisions or inability to safely merge or clear intersections. The vehicle has been inspected by an authorized dealership; however, they were unable to reproduce the issue during testing and therefore did not perform a repair. Despite this, video evidence of the incident exists and clearly shows the loss of power event. There were no warning lights or messages prior to or during the incident. The failure occurred unexpectedly during normal operation. The problem has not been resolved and may occur intermittently, making it difficult to reproduce under standard inspection conditions. The vehicle remains in service and available for inspection upon request.Read more

Three (Right Front & Rear, Left Rear) of four factory-installed Pirelli Scorpion Zero All Season tires (255/40R21, DOT 1XB RM582P 3923) are exhibiting tread block chunking, cracking, and physical material separation. All four tires share an identical DOT code from a single production run. Failure modes include lateral cracks across multiple tread blocks, physical loss of tread block material in mu
... ltiple locations, and one tire with a deep tread void consistent with delamination. At 36,176 miles on a 2024 vehicle, this level of structural failure represents a safety hazard. The tread separation creates risk of sudden air loss or blowout at highway speed. I am aware of other NHTSA complaints filed for this exact tire size and model describing identical failure modes. I am requesting NHTSA investigate whether a safety defect exists in this production batch.Read more

I am reporting a structural failure of the rear subframe due to corrosion on my 2015 Mercedes-Benz C300 4MATIC. The failure was diagnosed by an authorized Mercedes-Benz dealer, who confirmed that the rear subframe has corroded and broken, compromising the structural integrity of the vehicle. This is not cosmetic rust. The subframe is a load-bearing structural component, and its failure creates a s
... erious safety risk, including potential loss of vehicle control. I have been advised that the vehicle may be unsafe to operate in its current condition. The vehicle has approximately 143,000 miles and has been registered and operated in Connecticut, a salt-use state. However, this level of corrosion leading to structural failure of a major suspension component is premature and not consistent with normal wear and tear, even in such environments. I contacted Mercedes-Benz USA and escalated the matter to an Executive Referral Manager. Mercedes-Benz acknowledged the seriousness of the issue but declined to provide any repair assistance, stating that my vehicle falls outside of warranty extension and goodwill parameters. Mercedes-Benz did not dispute the nature of the failure or its safety implications, but refused to address the issue based solely on internal policy criteria such as age and mileage. A rear subframe supports critical suspension components. Corrosion leading to structural breakage can result in instability, misalignment, or failure of suspension components while driving, increasing the risk of a crash. This issue appears to be consistent with known reports of rear subframe corrosion in similar Mercedes-Benz vehicles, raising concern about a broader safety defect. The failure was identified during inspection, and repair costs are estimated at approximately $5,000–$6,000. I am submitting this complaint due to the safety risk posed by structural failure and the manufacturer’s refusal to address the issue.Read more

I own a 2018 Toyota Camry XSE. The car is equipped with a radar cruise control and automatic braking system that will brake the car if programming believes there is risk of an accident. The problem is this is all front-based monitory and no rear based monitoring. Recently I was traveling the speed limit on a 4-lane highway when a car stopped abruptly in the turn lane in which I was following.
... There was no need for my car to brake abruptly as I was not traveling so close behind the car in front of me to justify that. Rather, I was more concerned about a car behind me that was tailgating me. I wanted to brake gradually to give the car behind me time to stop. But the auto braking system in my car braked so suddenly against my will causing the car behind me to veer off the road onto the shoulder in order to avoid rear ending me. It also made me worry that the driver of the car behind me might believe I intentionally braked hard to make him back away from my car when this was not the case. The 2018 Camry XSE auto braking system is a hazard because it looks forward with the radar but did not consider the car tailgating me and it nearly caused me to be rear ended were it not for evasive action of the car behind me veering onto the shoulder. I can turn it off when I drive the car but it always comes back on when I start the car. I am undecided about liability as well if I must permit this defective system to run or whether I am protected legally by turning it off. It is such a hassle to constantly turn it off each time I start the car so I just let the car do it's thing most of the time thinking I might be better legally protected with it on than with it off.Read more

We also can’t use the safety features included with the vehicle when this is happening. Having so many warning lights on at once also creates concern about the reliability and safety of the vehicle, especially since several of the warnings relate to important systems such as braking, driver assistance features, and engine performance. While driving on the highway, the engine light came on and off. Pulling over, I inspected the engine compartment and heard what I believe was cylinder knocking, but could not obtain an engine code with an OBD code reader. Oil was of sufficient level as it had just been replaced within 1,000. After this I attempted to drive it to the dealership, where on going 45 MPH, I pulled to the right lane fo
... r emergency police vehicles and when the vehicle was stopped, the engine stopped and seized up. After not being able to start the vehicle, I could not find the neutral safety switch to put the transmission in neutral to move the vehicle from the flow of traffic (turns out the switch is not readily accessible and is on the side of the transmission underneath the air intake and battery compartment. Police officers pulled behind the vehicle and assisted me in getting a tow truck to take the vehicle to the dealership for inspection. At Coggin Honda in Jacksonville, the vehicle was inspected and the engine would not turn over manually by the crankshaft. The engine was deemed to have catastrophic failure and would need to be replaced at 126,000 miles. This vehicle is a 2018 which is on TSB 24-003, however is not listed on the applicable VINs. This TSB is for connecting bearing rod failure which would lock this vehicle’s engine the way the dealership found it. I believe this to be the issue as several Honda engines have had this failure. The vehicle was maintained per Honda’s maintenance programs and even had an extended warranty of up to 100,000 miles which when the TSB the vehicle was underneath that mileage and would have been covered by Honda if they had released the full list of VINs for that year to be inspected instead of a sub list of VINs of the production. Honda needs to be investigated to see if that TSB needs to be expanded since 2023-2024 timeframe other users have had a similar failure and seized engines.Read more

A safety recall has been issued for my 2019 Coachmen Leprechaun motorhome (VIN: [XXX] ) built on a GM chassis. The recalled component/system is the subject of an active manufacturer recall; the vehicle is available for inspection upon request. I have attempted multiple times to complete the recall repair through General Motors. However, there is no Chevrolet/GM dealership within approximately 2.5
... hours of our location in [XXX] that has the lift capacity required to service this motorhome. GM representatives confirmed that the repair must be completed at Dick Hannah Chevrolet in Sandy, Oregon. GM offered to cover towing to the dealer but stated the “reunite” transport (return of the vehicle to the owner) would be billed to us, leaving the consumer responsible for part of the logistics required to complete the recall. Because the recall cannot be performed locally, this situation leaves us without a practical way to complete the safety repair without incurring significant cost. The vehicle has not yet been inspected by a dealership because there is no capable service facility in our region. Any warning symptoms or failure conditions related to the recall are UNKNOWN, as we are attempting to have the recall remedy performed before a failure occurs in order to avoid potential safety risks. My 2023 GMC Yukon Denali with the 6.2L V8 suffered a sudden loss of propulsion while traveling at approximately 70–75 mph on the highway with my wife and young daughter in the vehicle. The engine RPM dropped immediately to zero and the vehicle displayed a message instructing me to press start. I do not recall any meaningful prior warning lamps or symptoms before the failure. I did not hear a lou
... d bang or other dramatic engine noise; the vehicle simply lost power and would not continue driving under engine power. I had to coast across lanes/shoulder to a stop, which created a serious safety risk to my family and other drivers because the vehicle lost propulsion at freeway speed without warning. After stopping, the vehicle would not restart. Pressing the start button produced only a click from under the hood and the engine would not crank. The vehicle was towed to a GMC dealership in Victorville, California. The dealer has since confirmed that the engine requires full replacement. The failure has therefore been confirmed by an authorized GMC dealer and the vehicle should be available for inspection through that dealership/manufacturer if requested. This is especially concerning because this vehicle was already part of the known GM 6.2L recall population and had supposedly passed the recall inspection/remedy before I purchased it. Despite that, the engine still failed catastrophically only about 1,355 miles into my ownership. Purchase mileage was approximately 26,343 and failure occurred at approximately 27,698 miles. The front axles in my 2024 Honda prologue touring model four-wheel drive I have been clicking and making noises even before 1,000 miles. I have spoken to the dealer several times and Honda as well two times. I do not know if this is dangerous but it seems dangerous to me. I am used to driving older vehicles that I maintain to almost new standards. I am honestly more nervous about driving this car
... at highway speeds than my 2006 BMW 330 I with 155,000 mi. I have been told that there is no fix for the situation at this point. I purchased a Honda the second brand new one in one year believing this was a great company that would stand by their product. My other vehicle is a 2024 Honda CRV touring model hybrid. I completely love this vehicle. I am now believing that they are not such a great company and they have made a mistake with this vehicle. I realize that this is not made by Honda but it is sold by Honda and they should not be so negligent in dealing with these issues. It is all over the internet that this car has problems and it seems that no one is dealing with it. Can you please help! Thank you for your help in this matter. I have had this car seat a little over a year and the chest buckle randomly stopped magnetizing. It will appear magnetized but will pop apart. This is absolutely unsafe and these seats need pulled from the consumers.
