... in to Dealer for first oil change at 9,006 miles on odometer. Dealer inspected tires and reported both front tires were Red/32” and 2 rear tires were yellow at 5/32”. At 9,000 miles, this is obviously grossly premature tread/tire wear. For front tires to be unsafe to drive at fewer than 9,000 miles is unexpected and others need to be made aware of the risk of premature tread/tire wear to avoid dangerous blowouts that could result in accidents and injury. Feel lucky to have brought vehicle in 1,000 miles early for oil change and for Dealer to have detected. Dealer replaced all 4 tires at no cost and tires are being shipped to Bridgestone. I have Dealer service technician video showing tire/tread wear but was unable to download here — perhaps due to length. Happy to forward if you want it.Read more

My 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe has a recurring pattern of excessive oil consumption, smoke from the exhaust, repeated check engine light events, P0420 catalyst-efficiency faults, and repeated catalytic-converter-related repairs. At approximately 75,000 miles, the vehicle shut down on the freeway. At approximately 121,000 miles, the first catalytic converter failed. Chevrolet of Wesley Chapel documented P
... 0420 and catalyst failure in November 2025, and GM service history reflects catalytic-converter replacements at 131,468 miles and approximately 141,082 miles. The vehicle also underwent major injector-related repair in early 2026. At 141,620 miles, Chevrolet of Wesley Chapel started an oil consumption test and stated in writing that oil consumption can lead to repeat failed converters and false oxygen sensor readings. Despite substantial repairs, the problem pattern continued. I am reporting this as a possible safety-related defect affecting engine operation, emissions-system failure, and drivability, and I am asking NHTSA to review whether this indicates a broader safety-related defect.Read more

The vehicle has 2 permanent codes. One is a communication blackout, the other code means the hardware is melting. GM is doing a formal inspection in April. The Ucode meant that the engine stopped talking to the transmission or visa versa. The vehicle “ran my daughter and I” off the highway into the dirt, on 2 different occasions. They are described as “catastrophic engine failures”. The la
... st one occurred on MLK Jr Day 2026, before the vehicle was permanently grounded. It could have been fatal. GM is doing a formal investigation to see what liability the have for it because the vehicle is now considered a “lemon”. There were no external (dashboard) warnings before the events, but, there may have been internal ones that require a professional grade scanner to detect. The permanent Ucode, which causes a communication blackout, never appeared in the vehicles memory, on a scanner, until AFTER the local GM franchise conducted “repairs” (unsuccessfully) to fix the vehicle. (It wouldnt start, which is often a symptom of a Permanent UCode. The GM investigation will determine if the dealership knew the safety liability, (the permanent Ucode) and they tried bypassing or ignoring it, or, if they CAUSED the safety defect. Also, the vehicle is now showing a Permanent PCode, which means it is now a potential fire hazard.Read more

CV axles are covered under the Ford Powertrain Warranty. I am experiencing a driveline vibration consistent with axle failure. I would like a warranty diagnosis and documentation explaining why this is not considered a warrantable defect. Dealerships are refusing to evaluate a powertrain warranty issue involving driveline vibration consistent with axle failure. The vehicle exhibits driveline vibra
... tion under normal operation. That is not normal function and indicates a defect under warranty terms. Powertrain issues with axles present a safety concern. I see Ford has superseded the original NZ6Z axle part numbers to SZ6Z and now PZ6Z revisions. That indicates a known issue with earlier components. My vehicle is exhibiting the exact failure symptoms—this should be evaluated under powertrain warranty.Read more

A few weeks ago my adaptive cruise stopped working, as well as the automatic high beam system (not sure the technical name). As there was a warning light displayed, I brought it into the dealership to have them check it out. The technician jumped in really quick, made some changes within the control panel, and the light came off. As I drove out and tried to use the adaptive cruise control, it didn
... 't work and I almost went into the back of a truck. That all being said, I brought it back into the dealer last week for them to diagnose the problem as a failed front windshield camera. I find it hard to believe that this camera can fail at 50k miles, and the repair with parts and labor costing approximately $1000. This is an advanced system designed to improve the driver experience and heavily marketed. Considering this is tied to safety in some capacity, shouldn't GM cover this repair? I quickly googled the issue and found others have had the same failure. The camera system combined with the control panel covers so many applications, I would be concerned about other issues with the truck. Not to mention the massive recall of my L87 engine and water pump failure that I have also dealt with. I appreciate you taking the time to read my rant. Not sure if this will do anything, but it would be nice to have some sort of relief from the OEM due to the issues I have already experienced owning this truck.Read more

About 2 years ago my shifter started coming on like it was all lit up and I got a code saying to service shifter, So I took it in to have it fixed it was on recall. Then in 2024 my service 4WD light came on it was going on and off on and off--When I took it to the dealership they could not get it to come on or replicate it. I was told it could be just a sensor--Then my 4WD light came on and stayed
... on--I started losing power while driving and it scared me because I travel the highway a lot for work--It would also begin vibrating, I took it back in and of course they could not get it to replicate. Then the Recall for the PTU came out and my Jeep Cherokee had all the symptoms as a bad PTU--I took it in to the dealership and they ran the test and yes my PTU was bad--they contacted Jeep and was told that my Jeep's VIN was not on the recall and they argued saying it was in fact due to a faulty PTU--I have been in dispute with Jeep since then--I recently received a notice that they are closing my case but if I took my jeep in for diagnostic testing they would reopen my case so I paid another $190 to have it diagnosed and once again it is a faulty PTU--The Service Manager at the dealership said he would go to bat for me and stand with me on this--He said hands down my Jeep should be on the recall list and that there are 100's of Jeep Cherokees just in our area that should be included and that this recall should not be by VIN number but should be by model and year. This is very difficult for me because I do not have the $3500 to fix the PTU I recently became a widow and have 3 kids; but I have always taken care of my Jeep --Oil changes, tires, regular wear and tear I take care of it. On February 23, 2026, I was driving my 2023 Tesla Model Y under normal city conditions. While parallel parking at very low speed, I suddenly heard a loud metallic bang from the driver’s side of the vehicle. Immediately afterward, the vehicle lost mobility and the steering wheel became unresponsive and would not turn. I exited the vehicle and observed a detached metal suspension component and a b
... olt on the ground underneath the driver’s side. The vehicle was not drivable and required towing. I contacted Tesla Roadside Assistance through the Tesla app, and the vehicle was towed to Tesla Service Center in Coral Gables, Florida. At the time of the incident, there had been no collision, no impact with a pothole, curb, or road debris, and no prior warning signs or noises indicating a developing issue. The failure occurred suddenly during a low-speed maneuver. Tesla Service initially indicated that the vehicle was under warranty and that repairs would be covered if no external impact was found. However, after inspection, Tesla attributed the failure to an alleged “external impact” and declined warranty coverage, providing an estimate of approximately $4,000. After involving my insurance company, the vehicle was inspected by a Tesla-certified repair facility, which found significantly more extensive damage to the suspension system, estimating repairs at approximately $11,000. This incident represents a sudden and complete failure of suspension components resulting in immediate loss of steering control. Such a failure poses a serious safety risk, particularly if it were to occur at higher speeds, as it could lead to loss of vehicle control and a crash. I am reporting this issue as a potential safety defect involving suspension component separation and steering loss in a 2023 Tesla Model Y.Read more

Hello, my name is [XXX] , and I had a recall performed on my 2016 Ram Eco Truck 3.0L (FCA US Recall ID 66A) at Dewey Dodge Chrysler Jeep in [XXX] , following a recall notice dated June 28, 2023. On March 17, 2026, while driving on the interstate, I experienced a sudden and severe loss of engine power, which nearly resulted in an accident; the dashboard displayed a "Service Electronic Throttle Cont
... rol" warning, restricting my speed to around 40 miles per hour with low RPMs. I returned to Dewey Ram that same day and was informed the next day that I needed to replace the crankshaft position sensor tone wheel, which was quite expensive. I had assumed this issue was resolved during the previous recall, but the service department clarified that the recall only involved a software update and did not cover the tone wheel replacement. However, the repair description indicated that FCA US would conduct a voluntary safety recall to update the powertrain control module software or, in some cases, replace the tone wheel. Further investigation led me to Safety Recall W68 / NHTSA 20V-475 regarding the loss of crankshaft position, which I believe pertains to my truck based on its year, model, and circumstances. I shared this information with the dealership, but they stated they could not assist me since my VIN did not show any current recalls. I expressed my concern that the previous recall may not have been completed to the necessary standards to address the safety issue, but they advised me to contact Chrysler. I would greatly appreciate your assistance in resolving this matter. Thank you. I can be reached at [XXX] or by phone at [XXX] . Diagnostic trouble codes were present related to the hybrid system and high-voltage battery, including P1D43, P1A21, U029A, and U0412. These codes indicate faults in the hybrid control system and battery communication. A Chrysler service department inspected the vehicle, confirmed the trouble codes, and returned it to me without repair because the issue was not immediately reproducible at the dealership. The vehicle has a history of similar intermittent issues, including prior loss-of-power events and repeated service visits for hybrid system faults. The condition is not consistently reproducible, but when it occurs it results in a sudden loss of motive power while driving. This creates a significant safety risk due to unexpected loss of propulsion in active traffic.Read more

The front passenger seat lumbar/massage system malfunctioned and inflated without user input to maximum capacity. The lumbar air bladder became over-pressurized and created a large, hard, immovable bulge in the center of the seatback. The system will not properly deflate and remains in this condition. The failed component appears to be the lumbar/massage module and valve system, which is electron
... ically controlled. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. This condition creates a rigid protrusion directly behind the occupant’s spine. In the event of a crash, this would alter occupant positioning, concentrate force on the spine, and interfere with proper restraint function and airbag performance. This will increase the risk of injury to the occupant. The problem has been confirmed by Lander’s Jeep dealership in Little Rock, AR, which acknowledged the issue but advised that diagnosis and repair would be costly and would not be covered under my warranty or extended service contract provided by MOPAR. No warning lights or messages appeared prior to the failure. The issue occurred suddenly during normal use. Online research shows countless similar failures in 2022+ Jeep Grand Wagoneer vehicles, with consistent reports of lumbar/massage module or valve failures causing uncontrolled inflation. Some owners report repeat failures and electrical issues related to the seat module. Given the repeated nature of this failure across multiple vehicles and the potential safety implications, this issue should be investigated as a possible safety defect affecting occupant protection systems. I have multiple more examples of this from Facebook Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer Owner groups, however I am limited to just 10 uploads.Read more

Today I was driving my truck at 55mph on a local highway and all of the sudden I felt/heard/experienced a massive clunk out of nowhere - almost like the truck tried to downshift into 1st or something similarly jarring. Unfortunately I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to get a Ford dealership to do anything about it since there isn't an official recall, and I'm afraid to keep driving it as this is likely going to keep happening - but fixing it myself is going to be expensive I think. It is available for inspection upon request. I felt that my safety was and continues to be at risk - downshifting into 1st gear, or whatever that was, while driving high speeds is dangerous and could potentially significantly damage my vehicle and myself.
