The vehicle experienced multiple electrical and safety-related malfunctions while driving. On several occasions the instrument cluster and vehicle screens suddenly went black while the vehicle was in motion, causing loss of critical driving information such as speed and warnings. In another incident the vehicle displayed a “High Voltage Malfunction” warning while driving and the vehicle shut
... down shortly after. This resulted in a sudden loss of propulsion and created a dangerous situation on the road. The vehicle has also displayed a “Coolant Too Hot – Stop Vehicle” warning which required replacement of the coolant pump at the dealership. In a separate event the vehicle lost battery charge unexpectedly after indicating a full charge and had to be towed to a charging station. The vehicle is also subject to Safety Recall 26V073 involving the high-voltage battery. According to the recall notice, the battery may fail due to an internal short circuit which could lead to a vehicle fire while parked or driving. The manufacturer currently does not have a repair available and advises owners to limit the battery charge to 80% and park the vehicle outside when not in use due to the potential fire risk. These repeated failures combined with the unresolved safety recall raise serious concerns about the safety and reliability of the vehicle. The issues began around September 2024 and have continued through multiple repair visits into March 2026.Read more

The internal core of the Exhaust Heat Recovery System (EHRS), part of the center muffler/front pipe assembly (#28600-L5210), suffered a catastrophic failure. This allowed approximately 9 gallons of engine coolant to leak directly into the hot exhaust stream. Safety Risk: This failure creates a severe visibility hazard. During acceleration from stop lights and stop signs, the vehicle emits massive,
... thick clouds of white glycol smoke. The smoke is so dense that it completely obscures the driver's view of trailing vehicles and prevents following drivers from seeing the roadway or my vehicle's brake lights, creating a high risk of rear-end collisions. Additionally, the rapid loss of coolant caused the engine to overheat and lose power while in motion, nearly causing a stall in active traffic. Confirmation: The failure was confirmed by the service department at Washington Hyundai (Invoice #174281). This is the second failure of this specific component (previously failed in Jan 2025). The manufacturer issued TSB 23-EM-009H for this defect, acknowledging it affects 2020-2023 Sonata Hybrids, but no safety recall has been issued. Symptoms: The issue was preceded by a "sweet" burning smell and a sudden "Engine Overheating" warning on the dashboard. The failed component has been replaced by the dealer, but the manufacturer refused to replace the coolant-poisoned Oxygen (O2) sensors, leaving the vehicle in a technically compromised state. The failed unit is likely held by the dealer for warranty parts return.Read more

My vehicle has now experienced a serious electrical malfunction a few times, including one again today. Each time, the car suddenly loses power and drops to 40 mph, the steering wheel shakes, and all warning lights come on. This is extremely dangerous and puts my safety—and the safety of others—at risk. The Car is Brand new and has about 1200 miles. I took the car in previously, and the dealer

At this point I do not feel safe driving it or having anyone else in the vehicle. This is severely impacting my daily life and mobility. I need immediate action and a resolution to this unsafe situation. I only get run around when I call Audi Fletcher Jones and my service adviser does not resolve my issue. They don't let me speak to the General Manager and they don't give me his email address. Attached are two photos. I have a video which i can submit per your request.Read more

1. On multiple occasions, the adaptive cruise control has slammed the brakes at freeway speeds with no vehicles in front or next to me. The lane-keeping assistance will randomly start steering the car towards the edge of the lane. Sometimes it will actually steer the car over the lane markers, triggering the lane-departure warning, which proceeds to fight the lane-keep assist’s steering to keep the car in the lane. This will even occur after having steered the car correctly in the middle of the lane for some time. This poses a risk when the current lane is adjacent to a highway median, when there is a car in the lane next to me, or when there is no shoulder on a highway. I have had the ADAS systems on my 2023 Acura Integra recalibrated twice in the last 4 months and neither issue has improved. Safety Risk: The vehicle suffered a sudden loss of power while driving. Without any warning light or prior symptoms, the car began "pulling". I was advised by mechanics that the vehicle was unsafe to drive due to the severity of the misfire. After two expensive spark plug repairs in six months, the engine light finally triggered during a trip, revealing that the internal defect was significantly w
... orse than a simple maintenance issue. The problem began with a sudden, violent engine hesitation. A scan revealed a Cylinder 3 misfire (P0303), but there was no initial check engine light, leaving me unaware of the danger until the car began struggling to move. Over the next six months, the spark plugs were replaced twice. Despite these repairs, the car continued to struggle with acceleration and rough idling. A final diagnosis at Palmetto Ford confirmed coolant intrusion into the cylinders (TSB 22-2322). The engine is consuming coolant internally, which fouled the spark plugs and led to a mechanical failure leading to get over $11000 on repairs for a new engine.Read more

A recall repair was completed in 2023 related to an overheating warning. Recently, the same issue has returned. The engine cooling fan runs at a very high speed for several minutes and then shuts off, even when the vehicle is cold or operating under normal conditions. An overheating warning message appeared briefly while driving, but the temperature gauge remained within the normal range. This su

The problem has not yet been fully diagnosed by a dealer due to diagnostic costs, but the symptoms are consistent with the original issue that led to the recall repair. This condition could pose a safety risk because the driver may receive inaccurate overheating warnings or may not be alerted if a real overheating condition occurs. The issue is intermittent and has occurred both while driving and when the vehicle is stationary. Attempts were made to contact the manufacturer to report this as a repeat issue after a recall repair, but no resolution was provided and a formal case was not successfully established.Read more

The issue involves a failure of the braking system and related electronic control systems in a 2025 Honda Prologue. When the brake pedal was applied, the brakes were completely unresponsive, creating a life-threatening situation. I was forced to continue driving for approximately one mile before bringing the vehicle to a stop using the parking brake. This incident placed both myself and other road users at significant risk due to the inability to slow or stop the vehicle under normal braking conditions at highway speed. The vehicle was towed to a Honda dealership (Folsom Lake Honda) for inspection and repair. The dealer returned the vehicle stating that the issue had been addressed. However, the same warning messages reappeared, and a second incident involving brake malfunction occurred, confirming that the problem was not resolved. The issue has been inspected by an authorized Honda service center, and the vehicle was diagnosed and repaired once, but the defect recurred after the repair. The vehicle has also been reported to the manufacturer (American Honda Motor Co.) for further action. This is a serious safety concern involving loss of braking capability at highway speeds, and the problem has occurred more than once despite attempted repairs.Read more

... ately upon driving it off the lot the car started smoking. Once home, it decelerated again prompting another tow back to the dealership on the same day I picked it up. During that time, dashboard and engine lights came on. 3 days later I received a phone call from the dealership stating I need a new EGR sensor which should have been done the first time but was not (by a less experienced mechanic), for free, and the part would be in tomorrow 3/12/26. He also stated that now the car is running extremely rough and knocking (which I told him has not been our experience at all and I did not know what he was talking about). He then went on to say it needs motor mounts now. That was 2 weeks ago. Since then I have called multiple times to get status updates on my car and no one will return my call. My car has now been there for 40 days as of today. I have been given a 120,000 mile warranty extension on my engine per Nissan, but Nissan refuses to fix it and my car is not listed as part of the new recall, which I do not understand at all. Nissan needs to replace my engine as first diagnosed but reneged on.Read more

I purchased this vehicle new in September 2025. At approximately 3,903 miles, the vehicle exhibited a failure of the transmission system affecting its ability to remain stationary when placed in park. When the vehicle was placed in “Park” on an incline, the park mechanism failed to hold the vehicle, and the vehicle rolled despite being in park. This condition presents a clear risk of unintend
... ed vehicle movement. The issue was verified by the dealership during a test drive. Diagnostic inspection confirmed that the gear selector and transmission position indicators were functioning correctly; however, the vehicle continued to roll freely in park. The parking pawl was audibly engaging but failed to mechanically secure the vehicle. No diagnostic trouble codes were present, and no evidence of external damage, improper use, or installation issues was identified. The failure appears to be internal to the transmission system. This defect occurred at very low mileage and involves a core safety function intended to prevent unintended vehicle movement. Based on these facts, this issue is being reported as a potential safety-related defect. The dealer had the vehicle for over 30 days and installed a completely new transmission.Read more

I am reporting a persistent and unresolved excessive oil consumption issue that I began to notice at approximately 61,000 miles. I follow all routine maintenance and oil change schedules, but my car has returned to the dealership I purchased from (only owner), three times for this specific problem. - First Visit (64,074 miles): I shared my observations of excessive oil consumption to the dealershi
... p, they stated there was an oil leak at the timing cover and oil pan. They repaired the leaks, however this did not resolve the consumption issue. - Second Visit (65,273 miles) - The oil change done by Mobil at 75,238 miles, before I brought my car in for the third time to Hyundai for the consumption issue, documented that my oil level was at the 'Low'(L) level, this is the case each time I get an oil change around 3,000 miles - The third time bringing my car to Hyundai my mileage was at 78,913, less than 3,000 miles since my last oil change. Before making the appointment my cars engine sounded like it was running rough so we took a look at the oil level, which was at L - The first two times I did the 1000 mile oil test, Hyundai reported that my oil level remained above Full when I returned for a check, shortly after, within an additional 2000 miles, my dipstick would show L. The third reading is TBD.Read more
