I was notified in November 2025 that the transmission shift cable in my 2015 Dodge Dart was being recalled. There was no remedy at the time, however it is now the end of March 2026 and a remedy remains unavailable. This has put my safety and the safety of others on the road at risk because, per the safety recall notice I was sent, "[failure of the transmission shift cable] can cause an unexpected
... and unrecoverable loss of PARK function and/or vehicle movement in an unintended direction which can cause a vehicle crash without prior warning and/or injury to other outside the vehicle". I have re-confirmed with my local dealership that the remedy is still unavailable and had it inspected by their mechanics. There are no warning lights on the dash board relating to this issue; only the tire pressure sensor light remains. This is due to mission TPMS sensors that I've planned to address at a later time because they don't affect the car's ability to drive. I attempted to pay for the repair myself and submit for reimbursement, however was informed by a trusted mechanic that that was not possible because a better part has not yet been made. Replacing the malfunctioning cable might land me back in the exact same position I am in now and for my safety and that of others it was better to wait until the manufacturer found the remedy. That was over 2 weeks ago and the status remains the same. I find it incredibly irresponsible on the part of the manufacturer to allow this issue to continue for almost 6 months.Read more

Took my car in for oil piston recall. H&H KIA advised my oil level was low. I advised oil change just done 1/16/2026 and under the 6 month/7500 mile oil change recommendation. I provided screenshot that show it could indicate problem related to recall. Dealership did inspection and did advise no oil leak. When I asked about this they advised I had to pay for an engine clean and also an oil test. I
... questioned why should I have to pay if related to recall. They quickly said the recall was fixed by software update. When I asked again about low level of oil readings the answer was recommending the engine clean. Oil change totaling more than 300.00 . The clutch slave cylinder in my 2019 Toyota Corolla Hatchback failed, causing brake fluid to leak out. The leaking fluid contaminated the clutch assembly, resulting in both the slave cylinder and clutch needing replacement. The failed components should be available for inspection from the repair facility upon request. The failure led to a loss of proper clutch operation, which made it difficult to
... shift gears and control the vehicle. This created a risk of stalling in traffic or being unable to accelerate when needed, increasing the potential for a collision, especially in busy or high-speed driving conditions. Yes, the issue was diagnosed and confirmed by the dealership. They identified the failed slave cylinder and verified that brake fluid leakage caused contamination of the clutch, requiring replacement of both components. The vehicle has been inspected by a service technician/mechanic at the Toyota dealership. Prior to the failure, there were no warning lights or dashboard messages indicating a problem. The issue appeared suddenly when the clutch began to malfunction due to the fluid leak causing me to not be able to shift gears and the clutch pedal not returning.Read more

While driving on the highway in light traffic at approximately 70 mph and changing lanes, the side airbags in my vehicle suddenly deployed without warning. There was no collision, no contact with another vehicle, no road debris, and no apparent external cause for deployment. I did not strike anything before, during, or after the deployment. There were no vehicles within several car lengths of my v
... ehicle at the time. Highway Patrol was dispatched to the scene. Officer TJ Carter with Guilford County responded. Upon inspection of the vehicle at the scene, we found no evidence of impact or contact with another vehicle, object, or debris. The vehicle was covered in yellow pollen at the time, and even light contact would have left visible marks or disturbance in the pollen. After examining the vehicle, no signs of contact were identified. The vehicle does have unrelated prior body damage from over a year ago on one side, but that damage predates this incident and was not caused by this event. The responding officer can confirm there was no collision or new impact associated with the airbag deployment. There was no accident associated with this airbag deployment. The airbags deployed while I was traveling at highway speed, which caused a sudden and dangerous driving event and required me to quickly maneuver to the side of the roadway. This created a serious safety risk to me and to surrounding traffic. Prior to this incident, there were no warning lights, safety alerts, or service notifications indicating an issue with the airbag system or vehicle safety systems. However, a notification did appear in the My Chevrolet app at or around the time of the incident. The vehicle has not yet been fully inspected following the incident. A safety claim has been submitted to General Motors. I also have video footage of the Highway Patrol Officer cutting down the airbags on-site but cannot add that below so I have added a screenshot.Read more

The third-row power seat fails to detect obstructions and continues closing under resistance, even when encountering large objects such as a fully loaded backpack. A fatal incident involving a similar seat malfunction in

Although the vehicle has not been inspected by a dealership, Hyundai Consumer Affairs has been provided with video evidence. They have suggested further inspection, but no engineering-level evaluation of this safety issue has been completed. The seat continues to close under resistance and does not stop or reverse. The failure of the seat’s obstruction detection system creates a significant crushing hazard. Video evidence demonstrating the seat malfunction is available. All correspondence with Hyundai Consumer Affairs documenting attempts to resolve this issue can be provided upon request.Read more
