In December 2024, I was driving my 2024 Honda Accord Hybrid Sport on a clear, dry day after school when the car just completely lost power out of nowhere. The dashboard went crazy, flashing a bunch of different error messages every few seconds. Because the car wouldn't respond, I ended up in a side-impact crash. I was able to turn on/off the car after putting on my hazards and I was able to drive
... it normally and drove it towards the side of the ramp. I called my dad and after some time and turning the car on and off, the error messages disappeared and I was able to drive it safely back home. I tried to file an insurance claim (State Farm #51-78K9-28M) back then, but they blamed my driving because the Recall TN2 (Campaign 25V785) hadn't been announced yet. I ended up giving up on the claim because money was tight and my dad was worried about insurance costs, but the car is still dented and scraped from that day as the error messages disappeared after I turned on/off the car on the side of the highway. I just want it on the record that this 'loss of drive power' recall caused my accident a year ago after seeing the recall on the mail.Read more

I am filing a complaint regarding an unresolved and ongoing issue with my 2021 Hyundai Elantra N Line. The vehicle currently has approximately 80,100 miles. This issue began when the vehicle had under 60,000 miles. At that time, I brought the vehicle to a Hyundai dealership because the check engine light was on and I was informed it was related to the EVAP system, specifically the purge valve. I
... spent approximately five hours at the dealership and was told the issue had been repaired. However, shortly after leaving the dealership, the check engine light returned with the same issue. Since then, I have attempted multiple times to resolve this problem. I even purchased a new purge valve and had it installed by an independent mechanic. Despite replacing the purge valve, the check engine light remains on and continues to report EVAP system issues. I also had a mechanic perform a smoke test on the system, which did not reveal any leaks in the EVAP system. The mechanic stated they could not determine why the system continues to show a purge valve or EVAP-related code and suggested that only Hyundai may have the tools necessary to properly diagnose the issue. I contacted Hyundai corporate customer service for assistance, but they informed me that each dealership is privately owned and they could not intervene or assist further. This issue has now been ongoing for approximately two years. I continue to experience the check engine light and now the vehicle is beginning to have drivability problems including vibration and jerking during acceleration. This unresolved issue also affects my ability to pass vehicle inspections if the check engine light remains on. I am requesting assistance in resolving this ongoing issue and receiving proper diagnosis and repair support from Hyundai so that the vehicle can be repaired correctly.Read more

I am reporting a dangerous and recurring transmission defect in my 2018 Honda Odyssey equipped with the ZF 9-speed automatic transmission. The vehicle experiences sudden and unpredictable delayed acceleration, particularly at low speeds. When attempting to accelerate from a complete stop or at speeds below 25 mph, the transmission fails to engage properly, leaving the vehicle stranded in the middl
... e of traffic with no power response for several seconds. This creates an extreme safety hazard, as other vehicles may collide with mine while I wait for the transmission to respond. The condition is intermittent and unpredictable, making it impossible to anticipate when it will occur. It happens most frequently when accelerating from intersections, merging into traffic, or navigating through slow-moving areas. Honda has acknowledged this defect through TSB 19-124 (issued December 2019), which addresses harsh and jerky upshifts in 2018–2019 Odysseys with the 9-speed transmission. However, the TSB does not fully resolve the issue. A class action lawsuit [XXX] et al. v. American Honda Motor Co., Case No. 5:23-cv-05011-BLF, N.D. [XXX] ) is currently pending for this exact defect. I am requesting that NHTSA open a formal investigation and consider issuing a safety recall, as the delayed acceleration constitutes a serious risk of collision and injury. I had the work completed for the steering wheel, but that was not the issue and the mechanic that completed the work on my steering wheel did a test ride in the vehicle and stated it's not the turbo, because the vehicle is driving normal. Kia has since issued a federal safety recall confirming this exact defect — citing FMVSS noncompliance and stating the blank screen increases crash risk due to a software error causing overheat protection mode. Vehicle was at dealer for an active safety recall defect that went undiagnosed during a repair visit. DEFECT 2 — SEAT MODULE: Second-row seat module failed. Vehicle returned to dealer March 5 (still there, 27+ days). Wiring harness replacement attempted approximately March 21 — failed, defect persisted. I am reporting a serious and ongoing safety issue with my Ram 1500. The vehicle has experienced multiple incidents of complete power loss while driving, including at highway speeds. During these events, the vehicle abruptly shuts down without warning. The dashboard lights illuminate (including the battery and check engine lights), followed by total electrical failure. The engine turns off, the rad
... io and displays go dark, and I lose power steering and braking assist, then the emergency brake engages, making the vehicle extremely difficult to control. These incidents have occurred more than once and are unpredictable. In at least one instance, I was forced to pull over on the highway after the vehicle lost all power while in motion. The loss of steering and braking assistance created a dangerous situation, especially as I have had my children in the vehicle. After one incident, the vehicle was jump-started and the battery was replaced; however, the issue recurred. A mechanic previously reported that no diagnostic codes were found and no problem could be identified, despite the severity of the failure. The vehicle is currently at the dealership for further evaluation. This issue appears consistent with other reports of Ram 1500 vehicles experiencing sudden loss of motive power and electrical failure. The intermittent nature of the defect and lack of diagnostic codes make it difficult to detect, increasing the safety risk. I do not feel safe operating this vehicle, as it can shut down without warning while driving. I am requesting further investigation into this issue due to the significant risk of crash or injury.Read more

Date: April 1, 2026 Subject: FINAL NOTICE: Repeated Safety Failures and Demand for Buyback – 2024 Dodge Hornet (VIN: [XXX] ) To [XXX] Autoland, Management and Stellantis Customer Care, I am writing to formally document a persistent and life-threatening safety defect regarding my 2024 Dodge Hornet GT, purchased on December 21, 2023. As of today, this vehicle has become a liability to my
... physical safety and a significant financial burden. Vehicle Information: Year/Make/Model: 2024 Dodge Hornet GT Purchase Date: 12/21/2023 Current Mileage: 41,166 History of Failure: The vehicle has experienced five distinct instances of total power loss, resulting in the immediate loss of power steering and braking assistance while in motion. These incidents occurred on the following dates: January 10, 2024 May 2024 October 19, 2024 – November 21, 2024 (Out of service for 33 days) November 24, 2024 (Out of service for an additional 7 days) March 29, 2026 – Present (Currently in shop; no status update or loaner provided) Safety Concern: These malfunctions are not minor mechanical inconveniences; they represent a "Nonconformity" that substantially impairs the safety and use of the vehicle. Operating a vehicle that may lose steering and braking power at any moment places me at imminent risk of bodily injury or death. Demand: Despite my exhaustive documentation—including photos, email history, and towing records—both the dealership and the manufacturer have failed to provide a permanent repair or adequate support. I am formally requesting a Repurchase (Buyback) of this vehicle under the provisions of state Lemon Law and the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act. This vehicle has been out of service for over 40 cumulative days for the same recurring safety issue, which far exceeds the threshold for a "reasonable number of repair attempts." This behavior is extremely concerning, as it creates a risk of sudden loss of power while driving and could result in an accident. Ford is aware of these issues but has not issued a recall. I paid to have the torque converter replaced; however, the same transmission problem has returned. Ford has declined to provide further assistance. Additionally, the check engine light is now illuminated, which Ford attributes to a software issue. Despite multiple repair attempts and clear safety concerns, these problems remain unresolved. Upon stopping and looking, the plastic was broken from the bottom around the interior of the cap. Exterio

I believe it is a safety hazard that Honda should do a recall or at least cover the cost of the repair.
