I am experiencing persistent and unresolved issues with the infotainment and display system in my Toyota Corolla, primarily involving Apple CarPlay overriding the driver display. Even when I manually disable the setting that allows CarPlay/navigation to take over the display behind the steering wheel, the system does not retain this setting. After turning the car off and restarting it, the navigat
... ion/map interface reappears and overrides the driver display again. This behavior is extremely distracting while driving and interferes with my ability to safely view normal vehicle information. It has created multiple situations where I felt at risk of a collision due to unexpected display changes and distraction. In addition, there are ongoing system malfunctions including: •Volume controls becoming unresponsive (the slider does not adjust sound), requiring the system to be restarted to function again. •Intermittent failure of the phone connection/charging port, where the device does not connect properly to the system. A prior software update temporarily addressed one issue, but the core problems persist. I have been attempting to resolve this through Ardmore Toyota dealership in PA for approximately one year without a meaningful fix or access to a qualified technician. This appears to be a recurring software or system defect that affects driver attention and vehicle operation. I am concerned this creates a significant safety risk for myself and others on the road. No one has taken me seriously even after I’ve gone to several Toyota dealerships over and over and I explained my concerns and they promise that I’ll be on a list of waitlist to be seen by a field tech technician however that has never happened and they are refusing to provide assistance.Read more

The All Wheel Drive (AWD) system of the vehicle became partially inoperable after hearing a loud bang under normal vehicle acceleration some time in early 2025. The vehicle did not trigger or display any warnings stored in the onboard computer or on the dash display that the AWD system had any faults or issues. Had this system failed during an emergency situation involving hazardous or dangerous d
... riving conditions like snow, ice, heavy rain, it could have caused me to not have improved capable vehicle handling. The vehicle's ability to distribute power evenly to all 4 wheels was hindered and operating as front wheel drive only after the loud noise was observed. Additionally, transmission gear oil began leaking underneath the vehicle around the transmission casing. The issue has been reproduced, confirmed, and validated by technicians of a local Acura dealership. The dealership was approved to completely replace the following two components of the AWD system under the manufacturer's 6 year / 60K mileage powertrain warranty: 1. Transmission 2. On December 2, 2025, my Tesla was charging in the garage of my residence in [XXX] , when a fire appears to have originated in or around the vehicle area. Before the fire, I smelled smoke/burning and also heard popping sounds. The fire spread rapidly and resulted in the destruction of my home, creating an immediate and severe risk to the safety of all occupants and anyone nearby. This incident expo
... sed those present to danger from flames, smoke inhalation, toxic fumes, and structural collapse, and it caused emergency evacuation and displacement. The fire department identified the garage or vehicle area as the origin. The exact component or system that failed is unknown at this time, but the circumstances indicate a possible failure involving the vehicle, charging system, battery system, or related electrical components. I am not aware of any prior battery, charging, or electrical warning messages before the incident. Emergency responders and insurance representatives were involved after the fire. I previously attempted to notify Tesla of this incident, but I did not receive a response. Because this event involved a catastrophic fire and total residential loss, I believe it should be reviewed as a serious vehicle safety matter and that all relevant vehicle data, charging data, components, and related evidence should be preserved for inspection. While driving my 2021 Ford F-150, the vehicle suddenly began shaking, lost power, and shut off completely while in motion. This created a dangerous situation as I was left without acceleration while driving. Prior to the failure, there were no major issues with the vehicle. ... The vehicle would not restart and had to be towed to a Ford dealership, where it has remained for over two weeks. The power liftgate system appears to be malfunctioning. The vehicle intermittently displays a warning that the liftgate is open when it is fully closed and secured. When this occurs, the liftgate will not open using the exterior handle, interior button, or key fob. Additionally, the false “liftgate open” alert triggers the vehicle’s alarm system to activate unexpectedly without any attempt t
... o access the vehicle. The issue occurs randomly and without warning. This malfunction creates a safety risk because the liftgate cannot be opened when needed, which could prevent access to emergency supplies, child safety items, or the spare tire in an urgent situation. The false alert also causes the vehicle alarm to activate randomly, which can startle the driver and others nearby, potentially causing distraction while driving or in traffic areas. Additionally, the system incorrectly indicates that the liftgate is open, creating uncertainty about whether the vehicle is secure and safe to operate. A malfunctioning liftgate could present a hazard if the vehicle incorrectly detects an open door while in motion. Yes, the issue has been reproducible at Bluebonnet Ford in New Braunfels, TX. I experienced a check engine light and intermittent starting issues with my vehicle (Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid 2017). After researching the issue online, I found that there are active safety recalls for this vehicle related to the hybrid system (including battery and inverter/PIM). I immediately contacted the
... dealer: [XXX] An appointment was scheduled for April 1, 2026 at 4:00 PM. I dropped off the vehicle at approximately 3:50 PM and handed over the keys. Prior to visiting the dealer, I purchased a diagnostic subscription tool to better understand the issue, as many owners report dealers misdiagnosing these problems. The diagnostic results indicated issues related to the PIM (Power Inverter Module), including required updates and possible internal diode failure. This matches the symptoms I experienced, where the vehicle would intermittently fail to start. I have attached photos showing error messages related to PIM update and hybrid system faults. On the next day, the dealer informed me that they would only perform a diagnostic for $180 instead of processing the issue under recall. I believe this is incorrect, as the symptoms match known recall conditions (loss of power / hybrid system failure), and recall-related diagnostics should not be charged to the customer. The dealer is refusing to proceed under recall and is attempting to charge for diagnosis. This is a safety issue and should be handled under recall.
