This incident happens when driving home from work, it happened half a mile away from where I live on a local road. All of a sudden car lost all power, steering wheel and brake completely failed, drive train completely failed while the car was still moving. there was no way the car could be controlled to move to the side of the road or to break to completely stop it.. thankfully it coasted to a com
... plete stop. As it was the middle of the day, there were no cars around the local road I was on. Once the car stopped everything shut off completely. There was no way to turn on the hazard lights or get out of the car either I had to use emergency exit.. car wash towed to Tesla service center where it stayed with them for a few weeks and I was told that it was PCS an ancillary auxiliary part that needed to be replaced. While searching the forums, I found out that this is becoming a problem where multiple cyber trucks have this issue going on which I feel is a safety issue as it can cause a major accident or fatalities if somebody was driving on the highway on highway speeds and this happened. I am opening this ticket to help others so hopefully a recall is done on this.Read more

I am filing this complaint regarding an unresolved safety recall on my 2021 Ford F-150 (VIN: [XXX] ), Recall 25S75 / NHTSA 25V455, issued July 2025. As of today, April 10, 2026, no remedy is available and Ford has not provided a firm commitment beyond a verbal statement from a customer service representative. I contacted Ford in writing via certified mail (delivered March 27, 2026) and by email. F
... ord Case Number: [XXX]. I received one email response on March 31, 2026 from Patrice Hargrove, Truck Concern CXS, stating the remedy would not be available until June 2026, that Ford had not advised me to stop driving, and that Ford would not provide a loaner or rental reimbursement. I responded the same day asking for written confirmation of the June 2026 date and confirmation that my correspondence had been documented in my case file. I followed up again on April 6, 2026. I have received no response to either email. My concern is not only the recall itself but the history of this specific vehicle. In October 2022, this truck stalled in the middle of the street while I was driving with my children in the vehicle. It was towed and serviced, with the cause attributed to alternator failure. The failure mode described in Recall 25S75, an engine stall caused by fuel pump failure, is the same experience I have already had with this truck. This vehicle has also undergone a rear axle wiring harness repair in June 2024 and a transmission service under Customer Satisfaction Program 25L02 in December 2025. I have two young children who ride in this vehicle regularly. Ford has acknowledged a safety defect that can cause an engine stall while driving, has provided no interim safety accommodation, and has not responded to my follow-up correspondence in over a week. I am requesting that NHTSA review Ford's handling of this recall and the adequacy of Ford's response to affected owners. The Kona barely wants to accelerate and stalls out while driving. Even though I recently got a oil change there’s oil consumption and the oil is black as if I never got a oil change. I took it to a hyundai dealer ship, i told them what was wrong they said it’s the timing belt. When that’s not the issue. I recently took it to a mechanic to get a third opinion and to see and fix what is wrong
... . He declined fixing it saying there’s more to it that is wrong and looks like there’s an engine defect and even complained that the oil was so black. I told him that doesn’t make sense because I’ve been getting my oil consistently. He couldn’t fix it. So now I’m stuck with a vehicle that barely drives and stalls out while I’m on the road and it keeps burning more oil. No one knows what is wrong with it.Read more

The vehicle's fuel pump failed. Like many 2022 Chevy Equinoxes, ours has a fuel pump that failed while on a road trip 10 hours from home. However, ours was also not part of the recall batch for failing fuel pumps. There were no warning lights or lamps or other signs, and at 27,000 miles, we would never expect for our fuel pump to fail. Severe corrosion of the rear subframe crossmember on a 2014 Audi Q5 Premium Plus, purchased with 65,464 miles. Two independent inspections in South Carolina confirmed structural failure. Audi of Greenville, an authorized Audi dealership, marked the condition as VERY DANGEROUS on the service invoice and quoted $4,711.52 for subframe replacement. They were unable to perform a wheel alignment due to
... the severity of the corrosion. Yoder's Automotive in Westminster, SC independently confirmed the subframe was rusted beyond repair on both sides. Fist-sized holes have corroded through the structural metal on both sides of the subframe. The vehicle has plastic stone guard covers bolted over the subframe from the factory. These covers trapped road salt and moisture against unpainted mild steel, accelerating concealed corrosion that was invisible until the covers were removed during inspection. The vehicle is undriveable and has not been driven since the defect was discovered in approximately March 2026. This defect pattern is documented in at least 16 prior NHTSA complaints for Audi Q5 models spanning model years 2010 through 2018. Audi has revised the subframe part number at least five times (8R0505235F through 8R0505235N) but has issued zero recalls and zero consumer notifications.Read more

I am reporting a safety issue involving engine failure and fumes entering the vehicle cabin as well as unintended braking post major engine repair at 75,000 miles on my 2018 Mazda CX5. My vehicle developed engine problems consistent with a cylinder head/coolant defect and began allowing fumes/smoke to enter the cabin while driving. This created a health and safety concern for occupants. I report
... ed this to the dealership and was told the vehicle was safe to drive despite the presence of fumes in the cabin. A major engine repair was later performed. A few days following the repair, additional warning lights and system malfunctions appeared, including brake system warnings, and the vehicle later braked unexpectedly while driving nearly causing me to be rear-ended. The vehicle has been inspected by the dealership, but the root cause of the fumes and subsequent safety issues has not been clearly explained. This situation created a safety risk due to exposure to fumes inside the cabin and unexpected vehicle behavior while driving. Smoke/fumes video and any additional documentation can be provided upon request. Attaching the costly invoice as well.Read more

The system then immediately puts the car into limp mode and displays the error triangle with ECP next to it. The issue can only be resolved by stopping th

This day it occurred at least three times in a 5 minute driving window. The issue was addressed with a VW service manager and he simply said that since your out of your warrantee you would need to pay for any diagnostics and electronic connection fees. Over $250 per check minimum. This issue has occurred over 20 times since it started around the 58,000 mile mark. Limp mode is very dangerous especially when it happens on the interstate highway. While driving on the highway, something (likely a small rock) from oncoming traffic flew into the windshield. Upon contact, the windshield cracked and shattered in a manner I have not seen a windshield break before, immediately spraying glass shards across the interior of the vehicle (to include dashboard, seats, and floors) and the driver. From the outside of the windshield, the area of damage is
... soft to the touch such that it is likely applying any pressure would collapse that area and/or enable you to punch straight through to the other side, so for safety concerns it is undrivable until the glass is replaced. I am concerned the glass could have been defective in some way, as I don't believe this is a typical response to common road hazards like small rocks/other projectiles. The windshield was the original factory installed windshield. The vehicle has not yet been inspected by the manufacturer but the incident has been reported and owner is awaiting contact from the manufacturer regarding inspection. It can be available for inspection until the glass is replaced, but owner will have glass replaced as soon as possible. Additionally, because it is not drivable, it would require inspection at residence or towing. The incident was reported to insurance. There have never been any previous warning lamps/other indicators that the glass was defective.Read more

During a manufacturer-mandated software module update, North Central Ford (Plano, TX) bypassed continuous power supply safety protocols. This negligence caused a voltage drop, interrupted the software flash, and completely corrupted the Accessory Protocol Interface Module (APIM). The dealership returned the vehicle to me, stating the update was complete. The corrupted module failed to power down,
... causing a severe parasitic drain that completely killed the battery overnight, leaving the vehicle immobilized and immune to jump-starting. The APIM is completely corrupted. The disabled vehicle was towed back to North Central Ford and remains available for immediate inspection. Safety Risks: The corrupted APIM permanently disabled the federally mandated backup camera (violating FMVSS 111) and touch-screen climate/defroster controls, creating severe rear and forward visibility hazards. The module's failure to sleep causes a continuous parasitic battery drain that has already stranded me and introduces a high risk of sudden electrical failure in traffic. Dealer Confirmation: North Central Ford's paperwork confirms they caused the failure. Their Day 1 intake Multi-Point Inspection officially documented my battery in "GOOD CONDITION" prior to service, and their initial invoice explicitly states the update was "UNSUCCESSFUL." Furthermore, after I supplied a new replacement battery for a second diagnostic, they confirmed a U2100 code (Initial Configuration Not Complete), proving the module was electronically wiped during their botched procedure. Prior Symptoms / Inspections: None. The electrical system and screen were fully functional prior to the software update. Inspected solely by North Central Ford. Status: The General Manager dismisses their own diagnostic codes, refuses to repair these technician-caused safety defects under consequential damage guidelines, and is attempting to charge me out-of-pocket, The vehicle remains at the dealership due to active safety hazards.Read more

This issue has occurred twice. The first time was at approximately 3,000 miles, and the second time at around 7,200 miles. On both occasions, the vehicle lost power and displayed a warning message stating “Service High Voltage System” along with a “Reduced Speed” notification. During these events, the estimated driving range dropped significantly, charging was limited to approximately 25%,
... and acceleration was severely restricted, indicated by a turtle icon on the dashboard. After the first occurrence, the vehicle remained undrivable for approximately three days over Thanksgiving. By the time I was able to bring it to the dealership on the next available business day, the warning light had turned off. I was advised to bring the vehicle in immediately if the issue happened again. The issue did not reoccur for about three months. When it happened again, I was out of town and the estimated range dropped from over 100 miles to around 60 miles. I was able to make it home without requiring a tow and brought the vehicle to the dealership the following day. At check-in, the service advisor observed that the warning lights were still active. However, later that day I was informed that by the time the vehicle was inspected, the warning lights had turned off, and no action could be taken. Based on information found in online owner forums, this appears to be a known issue potentially related to a defective component. It has also been suggested that the issue is more likely to occur in colder conditions. Due to the unpredictability of this failure and the loss of power and range when it occurs, I do not feel confident in the reliability of the vehicle, particularly for longer trips or travel in remote areas.Read more

Following the recent winter update, I noticed several faults during the weekend prior to the major incident described below: Child Lock Malfunction: The car entered "child mode" and the rear door could not be opened from the inside or outside until I exited and re-entered the vehicle. Driver-Side Control Failure: The driver-side door controls stopped functioning. They only reset after I exit
... ed and re-entered the car. Alarm Malfunction: The alarm triggered unexpectedly while we were exiting the vehicle. Incident Report: 12/22/2025 While taking my daughter to Taekwondo (TKD) practice, I positioned the vehicle to back into a parking spot. I shifted into reverse, and the backup camera activated. As I always do, I checked my mirrors and the camera to ensure the path was clear. The vehicle did not provide any proximity beeps as it usually does when near an object. When I released the brakes, the vehicle did not move. I pressed the accelerator, and the car suddenly jumped forward, striking two parked vehicles. Thankfully, it was only a "fender bender" and no one was injured. Following the collision, the ID.4 screen became unresponsive for a moment, and the vehicle refused to power down when I lifted my weight from the seat. I had to get back in, close the door, fasten my seatbelt, unfasten it, and exit again before the vehicle finally turned off. I reported the incident to my insurance, and the damage to all three vehicles was covered. Follow-up: 12/23/2025 During a test drive the following day, I noticed the parking sensors would activate and beep as I approached intersections. This would only last a few seconds, but the screen would indicate an obstacle in front of the car when the path was clear. I took the vehicle to the dealer, but they were unable to replicate the faults. They reset the computer but claimed they did not have access to the specific fault codes. I took the car to a repair shop for bodywork, but it still exhibits minor software "quirks".Read more

My 2019 accord gets stiff at speeds over 25-30mph and resists driver input, so much that you tend to over-compensate and make constant steering corrections every second so you don't crash. The car does not track straight at any speed, and does the same when the Lane Keeping Assist (LKA) is off or on. When LKA is active the car will not go straight on a straight smooth road. The car wanders dangero
... usly from the right to left line markers and often rides on the markers bringing you very close to other cars and then jerks the car back to the opposite side of the lane and continues to do the same back and forth like a drunk person is driving the car. Also the Driver Input Required amber light comes frequently on a straight road with highly visible lane markers. It is extremely tiresome to drive the car and try to keep it in its lane, even when I disable all the "driver-assistance" features. This is because the steering has a mind of its own and stiffens up. It resists the slightest driver input so you have to put more strength into it to make it go where you want to, but once the steering gives up fighting you and lets you do it, it results in overcompensating and constant steering corrections by the drive left-right, left-right, just going down in a straight smooth freshly paved road. It’s been over a year and the dealer has yet to detect anything wrong, they tell me my vehicle drives perfect, honda dealer after dealer.Read more

I own a 2023 GMC Yukon Denali. In Nov. 2023, at about 4,000 miles, the vehicle suffered a complete engine and electrical failure at highway speed while I was traveling with my husband and three small children. It suddenly lost all power in the fast lane, including acceleration and engine function. Steering became extremely heavy, consistent with loss of power steering assist, and the electronics s
... hut down. We had to guide the vehicle across traffic while coasting downhill to the shoulder beyond a guardrail. Traffic had to avoid us, creating a serious safety hazard. The vehicle would not restart. The vehicle was towed and required a complete engine replacement under warranty. After that replacement, additional issues followed. There was an HVAC/defrost concern. In June 2025, the vehicle again became inoperable without warning while parked at a store. It would not start despite repeated attempts, including by a dealership representative. A diagnostic scan produced over a page of error codes, but the dealership could not identify a cause and stated the vehicle was safe. In Dec. 2025, the vehicle engine was inspected under a recall and I was told there were no issues. In Feb. 2026, the vehicle lost heat and was found to have no coolant despite regular maintenance and recent inspection. In Mar. 2026, at about 37,700 miles, the vehicle developed a loud clunking noise while driving. I stopped driving and returned it to the dealership, where I was told the engine had failed again and required another full replacement. The vehicle has now had two engine failures and three engines installed in less than three years. There were no warning lights or prior indications before these failures. I no longer believe this vehicle is safe or reliable for transporting my family.Read more

While driving slowly in a traffic queue, the driver applied the brakes to stop behind the vehicle ahead. The ABS activated unexpectedly, causing the truck to lurch/jump forward instead of stopping smoothly. The driver was forced to steer left to avoid a collision, but the vehicle ultimately struck the car in front, damaging the left front of the truck. No injuries occurred. This is not the first t
... ime this behavior has been observed in this vehicle, and the vehicle had previously been inspected by an authorized Ford dealership for similar braking behavior without resolution. The incident occurred at low speed in stop-and-go traffic conditions. The vehicle is currently at a Ford dealership for repair related to this incident.Read more
