2018 Volvo XC90, VIN [XXX] , 54,618 miles. Original owner. All service performed exclusively at Volvo Cars West Houston (same dealer, all three failures). Volvo Technical Journal TJ 34648.1.2, titled "Prior Approval - Lack of airflow causing poor cabin cooling," is classified as a Product Fix and explicitly lists the 2018 XC90 as an affected vehicle. This TJ required the dealer to submit a Prior
... Approval report to Volvo Corporate when installing the resistor fix. At 12,017 miles (August 2020), the dealer installed the evaporator resistor per TJ 34648.1.2, Part No. 32241228, under VST Operation 98734-2 — meaning Volvo Corporate has documentation of this vehicle's evaporator vulnerability on file since 2020. At 15,930 miles (March 2021), the AC compressor failed and was replaced under warranty, consistent with refrigerant starvation from the same underlying evaporator leak. The evaporator has now failed completely at 54,618 miles despite Volvo's own corrective measure being applied at 12,017 miles. The current failure (April 2026) includes a confirmed front evaporator refrigerant leak and AC discharge hose leak, documented by dealer borescope inspection showing corrosion on the evaporator fins and visual evidence of refrigerant oil residue at the discharge hose fitting. Dealer repair estimate is $4,406. This is a documented pattern failure across 2016-2018 Volvo XC90 models. My 2018 Kia Sorento has developed excessive oil consumption consistent with the known engine defects affecting Kia’s Theta II engines. The sudden loss of oil creates a serious safety hazard, including engine stalling or failur

Kia dealerships have acknowledged the symptoms but stated that because my vehicle is outside the warranty, I must pay for the oil consumption test and would be responsible for the full cost of an engine replacement. They replaced a module. The night I picked up my vehicle from the Dodge dealership in Bessemer, Alabama, after the Door Control Module was replaced, the ABS and traction control lights activated. I called the shop the next morning, and they instructed me to continue driving they should go off. The lights went off briefly, but soon returned, prompting me to contact Fiat Chrysler corporate. When cor
... porate directed me back to the dealership, the shop stated they could not see the vehicle for a significant period. I attempted to take the truck to other repair facilities, but they refused to work on it, stating they would not touch another shop's unresolved electrical issues. Operating a commercial vehicle while the transmission and braking systems receive invalid signals—especially after being told to keep driving and being unable to find a shop willing to fix the dealership's error—presents a severe safety risk. The truck is sending "invalid data" to the transmission, confirming a network communication failure that began exactly when the door module was installed. This conflict causes shorts in the ABS pumps and modules. Other Dodge dealerships will not touch the unresolved electrical problems. I demand that Fiat Chrysler resolve these recurring electrical failures i am spending alot of money repairing something that start after they did work to it. Even after i reported it to them. They have several tickets created for this issue. There was a recall for this same issue on other Ram trucks why it stopped with these i dont know. There are plenty Ram trucks that's dealing with this Abs issue. My husband told me to call the nearest d

Castle Hyundai verified the P1326 code and fixed the knock sensor, changed the oil. I picked the car up on March 13. On [XXX], the flashing check engine light returned while driving home from work. Again, we used the diagnostic tool and again the code P1326 appeared. The car was towed back to Castle Hyundai. On Monday, I spoke with Christain Jones the service director because I hadn't heard anything about the car. He called later in the day and said that the car needed a new engine. He asked for records of my oil changes since purchasing the car in 2021. I emailed him three from 2022, 2023 and 2024, the four change was done by Castle on March 12 2026. I was told that he would send the the information to Hyundai regarding a new engine. However, he stated that he was not confident the company would approve the claim. This after, I received an email from Eric Marcum with Castle. The email stated that Hyundai denied the engine replacement due to "lack of maintenance". ... prior, I had the vehicle inspected at the dealership, where I was informed that it passed the 6.2L engine national recall inspection. On April 9, 2026, the vehicle was towed to the dealership for further evaluation. On April 10, I was contacted and informed that technicians could hear a metallic noise coming from the engine. However, they stated that the readings from the PICO test were not high enough to meet the criteria for engine replacement. The dealership recommended replacing the camshaft position sensor but could not confirm whether this repair would resolve the issue. They also indicated that I would be responsible for all associated costs. Despite the presence of concerning symptoms, including abnormal engine noise and repeated warning messages, I was advised that General Motors would not approve an engine replacement unless the engine either completely seizes or fails both required diagnostic tests. At this time, my vehicle has only failed one of the two tests. As a result, I have been left without a reliable and safe vehicle, which is significantly impacting my ability to commute to work. This situation places me at risk of financial hardship and potential job loss. I am seeking a resolution that ensures my vehicle is properly diagnosed and repaired so that it is safe to operate.Read more

In April 2025, I purchased a new vehicle from AutoNation Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram North Richland Hills as a retirement gift to myself. After years of driving gas-powered vehicles, I decided to transition to an electric vehicle and purchased a Jeep Wagoneer S. While the vehicle is visually impressive, my ownership experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. Since the purchase, the vehicle has
... experienced ongoing and severe mechanical issues. It has spent more time at the dealership than in my garage. I have worked with multiple service departments and communicated with several representatives from Stellantis, repeatedly warning that this vehicle poses a serious safety risk and could result in injury or worse. The primary issue is extremely dangerous: the vehicle will unexpectedly surge forward with force and then abruptly lose all battery power. Despite being repaired approximately 8 to 10 times, the problem continues to recur. Multiple technicians, engineers, and even an investigator have attempted to diagnose and fix the issue, all without success. A few weeks ago, I experienced what I believe could have been a fatal incident. At approximately 5:15 a.m., while driving on the highway near the 121 and 635 merge in Grapevine, the vehicle failed completely. It was still dark, and traffic was moving at speeds exceeding 80 mph. My disabled vehicle was left blocking active lanes of traffic while other drivers swerved and honked to avoid me. Fearing for my life. This has happened so many times, but this time the failure could have been deadly. Following that incident, the vehicle was towed back to the dealership, where it has remained for approximately five weeks. Despite everything that has occurred, I was later contacted by a representative from Chrysler who offered $1,000 as a “goodwill” gesture for the whiplash I sustained during the incident. I made it clear that I was seeking a full buyback of the vehicle, including reimbursement of my investment. That reRead more

Safety Hazard: Oil Pump Failure Leading to Sudden Engine Stall (BMW B58TU engines) Description of Defect: The oil pump module in the 2020 BMW M340i (G20) contains internal plastic components that are prone to thermal degradation and premature failure. These plastic parts can crack or disintegrate, causing a sudden loss of oil pressure. Increasing wear on internal engine components and even leadin
... g to irreversible engine damage. Safety Risk: A failure of the oil pump leads to insufficient lubrication of critical engine components, which can result in a sudden and complete engine seizure while the vehicle is in motion. This causes an immediate loss of propulsion and power steering assist, significantly increasing the risk of a high-speed collision or being stranded in dangerous traffic conditions. Additional Note: This is a known mechanical defect where a critical engine component (oil pump) relies on non-durable plastic materials, creating an unreasonable safety risk for drivers and passengers due to potential catastrophic engine failure without prior warning. BMW is aware of this defect as they chose to update the design in future models, switching from the brittle plastic to more metal components in the updated design. This shows clearly that this design is compromised and was a risk to continue implementing.Read more

I bought a CPO lexus 2025 RX 350 in Jan 9, 2026. This car was lightly used in less than 3 months and right now it's around 7685 mileage. However, just with 3 months I purchased this car, the A/C stops cooling and the dealership said this is due to the condenser was damaged by small road stones where the small road stones can easily pass through the grille. - We have noticed that there are multiple
... reports of Lexus/Toyota SUVs with condensers easily punctured by normal road debris. - Dealers acknowledge it as a common pattern. - Loss of A/C can affect defogging/visibility and is risky in extremely hot weather, e.g. causing hard breathing, etc for driver and passengers in the car. This issue needs to be fixed by Lexus/Toyota.Read more
