A metal bracket on the back left side of the driver seat snapped suddenly while driving straight and at a constant speed. Since this part is broken the seat is no longer connected to the track in that corner. The car is drivable for me because I am tall and sit with the seat at its lowest height setting. When turning or breaking quickly the seat moves, and it would obviously be a safety issue if

Driving under normal conditions April 20,2026, on the way to school. Got off the freeway and the vehicle immediately shut-off and the check engine light came on. Vehicle was stuck partially in the roadway and would not move. Vehicle was towed to Kia dealership and they found that there was no oil in the engine and that the oil drain plug was completely missing. This problem caused catastrophic
... engine failure resulting in the need for a full engine replacement. A routine oil change had been conducted approx. 2,000 miles prior to this on January 12, 2026. The vehicle had been driven daily since that oil change with no noticeable oil leak or problems preceding this event. Had this event occurred at freeway speeds, it could have caused serious injury to the driver and other motorists on the roadway at that time. It appears that the drain plug fell out since there was no other additional or noticeable damage to the oil pan or surrounding the drain plug itself. This information was confirmed by a photograph taken by the dealership conducting the repairs.Read more

Incident date: Oct 14, 2025
The malfunction involves the windshield wiper control system, including the rain-sensing activation module and associated control software. The system activates windshield wipers without any driver input under dry and clear conditions. The vehicle remains available for inspection upon request. Safety was compromised due to sudden and uncommanded wiper activation occurring during active driving co
... nditions, including highway and nighttime operation. This results in temporary loss of visibility as the windshield is smeared by debris, requiring driver distraction to manually control or disable the system while operating the vehicle in traffic. Initial complaints regarding this issue were made by [XXX] during dealership service visits; however, those concerns were not consistently documented in the official repair records at the time they were reported and were initially dismissed or not formally recorded by service personnel until later intervention ensured the issue was entered verbatim on the service order. The issue has been reported and addressed during multiple dealership service visits; however, the condition has not been reliably reproduced and permanently corrected by the dealer despite documented repair attempts, including sensor replacement and manufacturer-level software (ODIS) updates. The malfunction has persisted after these interventions. The vehicle has been inspected by an authorized Volkswagen dealership service department. No inspection has been conducted by police, insurance representatives, or independent third parties. No consistent warning lamps or dashboard messages were present prior to the failure. The activation occurs unpredictably and without prior warning indicators. The issue first appeared intermittently at lower mileage and has continued through recent operation. The defect persists after multiple repairs and manufacturer intervention, indicating an uncorrectable electronic system failure causing an unresolved safety risk. This is a 2025 vehicle with 25,000 miles and the Check Engine Soon light stays illuminated due to a faulty PCV Valve or possibly a poorly designed crankcase. The engine code is P04FB and is commonly found as an issue when you do a search. As a safety precaution, the vehicle is programmed to not allow the remote start to work as designed when the engine light is on so this issue affects the overall
... functionality of the car. Having spoken with the dealership, they report seeing that engine code often and that the part is on backorder. The dealership seems to think it's the crankcase causing the issue and not the PCV Valve as the fix they have been ordering for them is the case. It will potentially go away as the weather is hotter, but if a chilly night or morning comes up, then the light will come back on because there is moisture buildup on the PCV Valve when the temperature drops that causes the light to come on. With all of the complaints I have read online for this very issue, I would like to see NHTSA step up and make Chevy fix their problem. Thank you.Read more

Presumably, because the sale occurred on the exact date Recall #283 was issued, we were excluded from the manufacturer's October safety mailing. We unknowingly operated the vehicle for seven months without knowledge of the seatbelt defect, though we did receive subsequent notices for campaigns 9C9, 9C8, and Recall #292 (Ejection Mitigation). Combined, the active status of Recall #283 and Recall #292 leaves the vehicle with zero safe seating positions. Furthermore, internal records show the vehicle failed a computer diagnostic test ('NG' code) with a severely depleted 11.90V battery prior to purchase. The CPO sale was executed without resolving this documented fault. This correlates to a severe electrical issue where the parked vehicle spontaneously unlocks. 2022 Volvo XC60 T8 Recharge VIN: [XXX] Mileage at time of complaint: ~38,400 Purchased: November 2023 (Certified Preowned) DESCRIPTION OF PROBLEM: The vehicle's infotainment system and backup camera have experienced repeated failures since the time of purchase. The backup camera intermittently fails to display an image when the vehicle is placed in reverse, leaving the driver without rear visib
... ility. The infotainment system freezes, goes black, or becomes unresponsive without warning. These failures affect the federally mandated rearview camera display required under FMVSS 111. The vehicle has been brought to authorized Volvo retailers (Jim Fisher Volvo, Portland, OR and Germain Volvo North Hills, Wexford, PA) more than eight times for in-person service for this concern. The same issues have also been troubleshot remotely by phone or text on approximately ten additional occasions. Software updates, system resets, and other attempted repairs have not permanently resolved the problem. On one occasion, the backup camera failed to display while reversing, which contributed to minor rear bumper damage. The driver was relying on the camera display as designed and federally required, and the system did not perform. I am aware that NHTSA Recall 25V282 (Volvo R10320) was issued in April 2025 for this defect across 413,000+ vehicles including the 2022 XC60. Despite the recall, the underlying infotainment and camera reliability issues in my vehicle have not been resolved. A second recall (25V392) was issued after the initial software fix caused braking concerns in some vehicles. No injuries have occurred. No crashes have occurred beyond the minor bumper contact described above. Volvo Customer Care Case #XXX was opened and a goodwill assistance request was denied.
