I am reporting a potential safety recall violation by Honda Mall of Georgia (3699 Buford Dr, Buford, GA 30519). My vehicle experienced engine noise, vibration, and warning indicators, which the dealership attributed to 'fuel contamination' to deny warranty coverage (attached), and charged approximately $3,392.99 for repairs. However, I have a certified laboratory analysis (attached) from the Georg
... ia Department of Agriculture confirming the fuel met all state quality standards and had no contamination at Costco Gas. Costco also provided supporting document (attached) that there was no contamination and there were no other customers reporting such issue. The vehicle required a second repair (attached) for the engine issue immediately after the first, further proving the failure was not 'bad fuel' related. Despite my state-certified proof, the dealer refuses to provide any documentation for their claim of 'bad fuel.' I believe the dealership has intentionally misdiagnosed a known defect covered under Federal Safety Recall 24V-763 / QK8 (cracked high-pressure fuel pump) to avoid performing a free recall repair.Read more

Issue with the forward collision sensor, lane keep departure, and adaptive speed control. It has a mind of its own if it works or not. Some times it working then while drive the warnings and dings start going off while driving. There isn't a way to use cruise control if there is an issue with the system.

The contact owns a 2018 Honda Civic. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds and making a left or right turn, the steering wheel was sticking. No warning lights were illuminated. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 18V663000 (Steering). The vehicle was taken to the local dealer and test-driven. The dealer informed the contact that the steering wheel was pullin
... g, and that the failure was associated with the steering rack. Additionally, the dealer diagnosed the vehicle and determined that the steering rack was rusted. The dealer recommended that the steering rack be replaced, and an alignment was performed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and declined to cover the repair because the VIN was not under recall. The failure mileage was approximately 100,000.Read more

COMPLETE shutdown of the engine while driving. No warnings - no flickering- no stumbling or misfire, just complete engine shutoff - dash and everything just turns off. Reading up on past recalls for this era of vans (mine a 2016) the 2013-2020 recall on the fuel pump sounds identical to this same thing I am experiencing. I was driving along in the city with my family in the vehicle and 2 times a
... lready while driving it has done this complete shutdown. If i wasn’t an experienced driver it would be enough for anyone to freak out and possibly cause some serious accidents. After I pull over and can try to restart the vehicle , thankfully it has restarted and allows me to continue forward. This is obviously not normal for a vehicle, Or even a fuel pump.Read more

I am filing a safety complaint regarding my 2026 Honda CR-V. The front-mounted sensor used for advanced driver-assistance systems (including lane keeping assist and automatic emergency braking) is positioned in a way that makes it easily accessible and vulnerable to theft. My vehicle’s sensor was stolen, which immediately disabled critical safety features such as collision mitigation braking and
... lane assistance. While the vehicle may still be drivable, the loss of these systems significantly reduces safety and increases the risk of an accident. This does not appear to be an isolated incident. Many other Honda CR-V owners across the country are reporting similar thefts of the same sensor. The issue has become so common that third-party manufacturers are now producing protective covers to prevent theft, indicating a widespread and known vulnerability. As a result of this incident: •My vehicle has been inoperable or unsafe to drive with full safety functionality. •The car has been in a repair shop for over a month due to the sensor being on backorder. •I am continuing to make payments on a vehicle that I cannot safely use as intended. I believe this represents a design defect that creates an unreasonable safety risk. A critical safety component should not be so easily removed by theft, especially when its absence disables key driver-assistance systems. I respectfully request that NHTSA investigate this issue and determine whether a recall or mandated design change is necessary to protect consumers. Thank you for your attention to this matter.Read more

Infotainment Center: I am submitting this complaint regarding my 2021 Honda Accord Sport and the ongoing issues I’ve experienced with its infotainment system. This problem has been persistent, unpredictable, and increasingly concerning from both a usability and safety standpoint. Since purchasing the vehicle, the infotainment center has repeatedly malfunctioned without any warning. The screen
... will freeze, switch from setting to setting, or become unresponsive to touch input. At times, it will randomly reboot while I am driving. These issues occur regardless of whether I am using navigation, Bluetooth audio, or even when the system is idle. This also affects the ADAS, periodically, warnings will be displayed, and then not show up. What makes this especially troubling is how it affects my ability to safely operate the vehicle. For example, when the system freezes, I lose access to navigation directions mid-route, which forces me to either drive without guidance or attempt to troubleshoot the issue while on the road. Similarly, when using hands-free calling or music controls, the glitches can be distracting and require repeated attempts to regain control, taking my attention away from driving. I rely on my vehicle daily, and this ongoing issue has caused a great deal of frustration and concern. A modern vehicle’s infotainment system is not just a convenience—it is integrated into essential driving functions. When it fails, it directly impacts driver awareness and safety. I am requesting that this issue be investigated further, as it appears to be a systemic problem rather than an isolated defect. I hope that by reporting this, it may help lead to a resolution for myself and other drivers experiencing similar problems.Read more

I shut the power off an powered up twice thinking that might reset the sensors; but they continued to fail. As I continued to drive there was limited power to the throttle, and I eventually coasted through a red light and into my work parking lot where the vehicle shut down entirely, and eventually fully locked up (couldn't start or event put in neutral to push). I had the vehicle towed to back to the dealer, and they diagnosed the problem as a failed transmission cooler. Of note, I had purchased the vehicle brand new less than 3 weeks before this incident and the vehicle had less than 600 total miles on it. There were no prior signs of trouble or warning lights.Read more

Honda put out a software update in March and found out Midway through that there was an issue with it so they stopped it on their end. My car unfortunately is experiencing an issue which the nhtsa apparently 23- 036, 044 and 045 I do not have systems updates menu I don't have a connection menu my car cannot receive a Wi-Fi signal or a Bluetooth signal it can only transmit a Bluetooth signal and Wi

The car's been to Heritage Honda in Parkville Maryland twice I tried to take it back to the dealership where I bought it from actually, where it's leased from and still under warranty of course. Honda of Parkville said they did 23-044 and where it did clear the air that I was getting on my dash where it said systems update unavailable see dealer, I still do not have the connections menu and I don't have systems update menu the main apps menu on my display unit is missing the settings gear. The power/volume button of the display is supposed to do a soft reset if you hold the power button in for 10 seconds all attempts at the back door resets whether it be the display unit power button, doing the steering wheel buttons, pulling the TCU fuse and the audio backup fuse and I've even gone so far as to disconnect the battery for well over an hour all of this is ineffective at bringing those menus back. I even have access to an Autel Maxisys Ultra scan tool which can go in and reset the OTA module it can also perform Hondas updates via the j2534 pass through on its VCI adapter again all of this has been unsuccessful except for the attempt to do a software update using Hondas rental ihds software that they will allow you to purchase a pass for a day. I haven't tried that The dealers just don't seem to think there's a problem with this car I've got the owner's manual showing this car is capable of being a transmitter and a receiver for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. They're telling me no that because it's an ex with the 7-in monitor that particular trim level does notRead more

I am reporting a safety issue with my 2007 Honda Odyssey. The left power sliding door latch assembly has failed, causing the sliding door to open while driving. My request was declined unless I first obtain a diagnostic at my own expense, despite the condition being clearly identifiable and involving a critical safety component. Summary: I am reporting a "sticky steering" mechanical defect in my 2019 Honda CR-V that matches the failure mode described in NHTSA Recall 24V-744. Issue Details: While driving at highway speeds, the steering wheel frequently becomes "stuck" or "notchy" feeling causing frequent adjustments at high speeds. I must apply sudden, extra force to break the wheel loose to keep car from crossing lanes, l

Prior Action: I visited two Honda dealers who told me they can only follow Honda recommendation. I contacted Honda Customer Service to request a repair under the current steering gearbox safety investigation, but my request was denied. Honda Case Number: 16300136. Case Status: Honda closed this case on 4/30/26 without providing a remedy, citing that my VIN is not currently part of the 2023–2025 recall population. However, the mechanical failure I am experiencing is identical to the one identified in newer models.Read more
