The right side power captain seat in the second row began to fold down without the button being pressed. It happened with and without the seatbelt plugged in. On 3/17/26, my husband and I started heading N on RT 83 to a medical appointment in our 2025 Honda CR-V Touring Sport. We were doing between 40 to 50 miles/hr. Twenty minutes later, we smelled faint smoke which was attributed to the trucks driving around us. Upon exit to our next route we immediately came to a red light and stopped and found heavy dark smoke coming from inside the front of our
... hood. We slowly moved to the R lane to get to a strip parking lot to move vehicle to a safe spot. When we finally found a safe parking a vehicle stopped to alert us of a noticeable fire at the bottom front of the Honda. We jumped out and 911 was called. By the time Police, followed by the Fire Dept, the front of my CR-V was engulfed by fire. I had just purchased this 2025 Touring Sport from Carmax 6 months earlier and it had just 7091 miles to it. My insurance and Honda were notified and claim and case #s were filed. Insurance offered a settlement but no word yet from Honda. Inspections were performed by both. Insurance inspectors report it as potential mechanical failure. Honda should offer reparations for the loss of my vehicle and placing our lives and those around us in danger.Read more

I recently purchased a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee and began experiencing serious issues almost immediately after taking possession of the vehicle. The vehicle has stalled unexpectedly while driving on multiple occasions, including during active driving conditions. It also has difficulty starting and has shut off without warning. The vehicle has already undergone multiple repairs within a short peri
... od of time, including work related to the radiator, spark plugs, and ignition coil. Despite these repairs, the issues continue. This creates a significant safety concern, as the vehicle becomes inoperable without warning, especially during daily highway driving. Incident date: Mar 17, 2026
The failure involves the AWD drivetrain system, specifically the rear differential assembly and previously the electromagnetic AWD coupler. The vehicle developed significant shuddering and vibration during acceleration from a stop and while turning at low speeds. A Nissan dealership has confirmed metal contamination within the AWD system and recommended replacement of the rear differential. The ve
... hicle has not yet been repaired and is available for inspection upon request. This condition creates unpredictable acceleration and hesitation, particularly when entering traffic or making turns. The vehicle does not respond consistently to throttle input, which poses a safety risk by limiting the driver’s ability to accelerate as expected and avoid potential hazards or collisions. The issue has been confirmed by both an independent mechanic and a Nissan dealership. The independent mechanic identified abnormal debris during fluid service and suspected a drivetrain issue. The dealership later confirmed excessive metal contamination in the AWD system. The vehicle has been inspected by an independent mechanic and a Nissan dealership. The manufacturer has not physically inspected the vehicle but has been contacted through Consumer Affairs. No warning lights or messages appeared. Symptoms began around November 2025 at approximately 80,000 miles and have progressively worsened.Read more

In November of 2025 the vehicle displayed a "Check Eletrical System" error message. Shortly thereafter the vehicle decelerated to under 10mph as we were turning into traffic. We were able to drive it home (less than 1mi away) and then called the Dealership. The car was then towed to the dealer (but needed a jump as the 12v battery had drained). The dealer diagnosed a failure of the ICCU and repla
... ced it. The vehicle was in the shop for approximately 2 weeks. More recently, on May 3rd of 2026, the vehicle experienced a complete deceleration as it was traveling through an intersection. No error lights or warning messages were displayed. I was only able to partially clear the intersection before the vehicle came to a complete stop. At this time the vehicle would not allow itself to be put into neutral so I could not push it out of the intersection. After approximately 5min of attempting to move the vehicle, it once again began responding to accelerator requests and I was able to drive it home. It is now with the dealer and I await their response.Read more

... e 2018 Ford F150 with 10 speed transmission I discovered that the CDF hub has a defect that Ford knows about but will not repair. The hub has a bushing that moves blocking transmission fluid ports. I called a two transmission shops and they were well aware of the issue and were able to give a quote range over the phone because of the volume of these transmissions that they have seen. I took the truck to my local Ford dealer and they checked the issue and confirmed that the CDF hub was the issue and the transmission would require a total rebuild. The rebuild came in at $7,755 dollars plus tax. A replacement transmission was $9035.26 before tax or just over 10,000 after tax. Ford needs to held liable for the engineering defect and be forced to issue a recall.Read more

The fuel tank protective shield underneath my vehicle has severely rusted and corroded, with visible perforations forming through the metal (photos attached). This shield protects the fuel tank from road debris and also helps secure the tank to the vehicle. The corrosion appears to be caused by galvanic corrosion: the steel fuel tank shield is bolted directly to an aluminum heat shield, and the co
... ntact between these dissimilar metals accelerates corrosion of the steel component. This is a known issue affecting numerous vehicles of this make and model, suggesting a design defect. Safety concerns: The shield is structural — it helps hold the fuel tank in place. Continued deterioration could compromise the tank's mounting and lead to the tank dropping or shifting. As the shield fails, the fuel tank itself becomes exposed to road debris that could puncture it, creating a fuel leak and fire hazard. There were no warning lights, messages, or symptoms inside the vehicle. The damage was only discovered during a visual inspection underneath the vehicle. The component is available for inspection upon request. UNKNOWN whether the manufacturer has issued any formal acknowledgment, but the failure pattern is consistent across many owner reports.Read more

1. The vehicle suffers from a recurring parasitic battery drain that results in a completely dead 12V battery after the vehicle sits for short periods. This appears to be a software or hardware failure in the Body Control Module (BCM) or Radio Frequency (RF) Hub that prevents the vehicle from entering 'sleep mode.' The vehicle is currently at the dealership getting looked at. But I can have it ava
... ilable for inspection upon request. 2. I regularly commute between Orange County, CA, and Las Vegas, NV. This route involves long stretches of remote desert (I-15) with extreme temperatures often exceeding 100°F and limited cell service. A recurring, unpredictable battery failure in these conditions creates a life-safety risk, as it can leave a driver stranded without climate control or the ability to call for help in a high-heat environment. As a medical professional, the lack of vehicle reliability also impacts my ability to reach clinical assignments safely. 3. Yes. The issue has been documented during three separate service visits to an authorized Ram dealership. On each occasion, the battery was found to be depleted below functional levels. Despite these visits and attempted 're-flashes' of the software, the parasitic drain persists. 4. The vehicle has been inspected and 'serviced' three times by authorized manufacturer representatives (certified Ram dealership technicians). 5. Symptoms first appeared the day after I purchased the vehicle. There were no dashboard warning lights until the battery was too low to crank the engine, at which point 'Electrical System Service Required' and multiple sensors failure errors appeared. I am aware of TSB 08-380-25 (which specifically addresses the BCM re-flash for battery drain) but that it has failed to resolve the issue after three attempts.Read more

I have taken it to an auto shop local to me and they had it all day and couldn't figure out what caused it. I typically am stuck in my car for over 5 minutes because of this issue. My lane departure warning worked for about 2-3 months after I purchased the car. Out of nowhere it stopped working and when I press the button to turn it on, it says it's unavailable. I am the second owner of this vehicle. Upon purchase, i chose to purchase all extended warranties so that I had minimal out of pocket costs to maintain and repair my vehicle. Issue: Tailgate unlatches unexpectedly Erratic behavior consistent with electronic release switch malfunction I am reporting a safety concern involving the tailgate on my 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 HD. The tailgate exhibits erratic behavior and has unlatched unexpectedly without user input. I can support this claim with documented video evidence I took while the vehicle was parked. This condi
... tion is consistent with the defect described in General Motors safety recall N232426400, which involves water intrusion into the tailgate exterior electronic release switch, potentially causing a short circuit and unintended tailgate opening. Although my vehicle is not included in the recall population based on VIN, it is the same model year, platform, and equipped with the same power-unlatching tailgate system. The failure mode I am experiencing matches the recall description exactly. I brought the vehicle to a dealership for diagnosis. The dealership acknowledged familiarity with this issue and indicated they have observed similar failures on other trucks outside the recall VIN population. However, because my VIN is not included in the recall, I was told the repair would not be covered. General Motors offered only minimal goodwill assistance, and I was required to pay for the repair. This condition presents a safety risk, as an unlatched tailgate can allow cargo to exit the vehicle and create a roadway hazard, increasing the risk of a crash. I am submitting this complaint because the defect appears to extend beyond the currently identified VIN population, and I believe additional vehicles may be affected.Read more
