FORMAL COMPLAINT – 2024 CVO ROAD GLIDE ST 25TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION To Whom It May Concern, I am requesting immediate intervention from Harley-Davidson Corporate regarding ongoing and unresolved safety concerns with my 2024 CVO Road Glide ST 25th Anniversary Edition. The motorcycle was originally purchased through a Harley-Davidson dealership in Syracuse, New York. Since ownership, the motorcy
... cle has experienced repeated throttle-related failures that create a serious safety concern. The issue occurs during normal riding conditions. Upon slight acceleration, the throttle unexpectedly cuts out, resulting in a complete loss of throttle response. Simultaneously, multiple warning lights illuminate across the instrument display, and the check engine light activates before the motorcycle loses power. This issue has occurred numerous times and continues despite multiple repair attempts. The motorcycle has been serviced by multiple authorized Harley-Davidson dealerships, including: * Harley-Davidson of Greeley (John Elway Harley-Davidson), Greeley, Colorado * Harley-Davidson of Perrysburg, Ohio * Harley-Davidson of Napoleon, Ohio (current servicing dealership) The motorcycle has been taken in for service on multiple occasions. Due to scheduling limitations and dealership availability, there have been only two formal repair visits specifically addressing this issue, including one instance where the motorcycle remained in the dealership’s possession for nearly a month without the problem being successfully repaired. I am extremely concerned about the safety implications of a motorcycle that loses throttle response while in operation. This defect places both the rider and surrounding motorists at risk. I am requesting: 1. Immediate review and escalation of this case by Harley-Davidson Corporate. 2. Assignment of a corporate case manager. 3. A complete engineering review of the motorcycle and repair history. 4. Written documentation of all diagnostic findings and …Read more

From my own diagnostics, as a licensed Master Motorcycle Mechanic, in the State of [XXX] , I believe the rear cylinder cam chain guide shroud shoulder bolt backed out of the threading in the engine casing, causing the shroud to fall into the primary gears, which caused a loss of cam chain tension and the engine jumped time. ... I was riding down the road. Luckily it was a backroad with no other vehicles traveling it at the time or else I could have been struck by another vehicle, causing serious injury to myself and other motorists, not to mention the property damages. When the incident occurred the Check Engine light came on and, upon checking the on board diagnostics display, the motorcycle displayed numerous fault codes, P001800C, P001900C, P034600C, P039100C, P110000C. The motorcycle was sent to Motown Harley for diagnostics and repairs under warranty. They diagnosed the issue as a failed rear cylinder cam chain tensioner, which allowed the engine to jump time and which caused internal damage to the pistons, valves and flywheel. The replaced the entire engine/ power plant assembly under warranty. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)Read more

He expressed how the standard for these vehicles is AGM or high performance batteries to ensure stable voltage for hybrid management, and compatibility with regenerative systems - using the right part prevents electrical issues. My brakes are connected to my electrical system. By putting in weak batteries and below standard expectation is putting their consumers at many risks with electrical malfunctions. I was informed by the dealer after getting it replaced this is the Toyota Manufacturer issue and I had a technician even agree the weak batteries will only help in getting consumers back to a dealer quicker.Read more

To Whom It May Concern, I am submitting this supplemental update to formally document continued delay and lack of action by BMW following notification of serious vehicle safety concerns involving risk to minor passengers. BMW was notified in writing of multiple safety-related incidents involving system reliability and unauthorized access behavior. These concerns escalated to an incident occurrin

Despite acknowledgment of these concerns, BMW has: Failed to open a repair order to document the safety defects; Conditioned inspection on continued operation of a vehicle reported as unsafe; Failed to provide a timely, safe alternative path for inspection (e.g., coordinated tow and uninterrupted transportation); Gone silent for extended periods after acknowledgment of safety risk. I have expressly stated that the vehicle is unsafe to operate and that continued delay creates ongoing risk. I have also stated my willingness to cooperate fully with inspection and documentation provided that such cooperation does not require placing occupants at risk. This supplemental notice is submitted to preserve the record that continued inaction following acknowledgment of a safety concern may constitute failure to mitigate known risk. All communications, incidents, and delays are being documented. I respectfully request that this update be added to the record and considered as part of any safety or compliance review. Electrical failure. Received the car about 5 months after liquids from the car were leaking on top of the battery, causing corrosion on the battery. Most recently check engine light went on and car began to overheat on its own. Hot air did not work and only cold air would come on. Car continued to say temperature too hot and began to smell like smoke.
