I experienced a brake failure this past weekend in my 2025 Chevrolet Equinox EV LT while descending a dirt/stone road. The moment we started descending, the ABS system engaged and did not brake the car adequately. In my opinion, the ABS system should not have engaged in this terrain. After about a minute of inability to brake properly or stop, we ended up getting a flat tire. The flat tire, combined with the terrain flattening, eventually helped us come to a complete stop. After stopping, the car was also having software issues (infotainment system resetting), and the infotainment system was very hot to the touch, suggesting an electrical or software malfunction tied to the braking system. It was a very scary situation, but my passenger and I were not injured. This failure left me and my passenger completely out of control of the vehicle, with a high risk of collision, rollover, or serious injury. In my opinion, a braking system that does not stop the vehicle when the pedal is fully applied constitutes a critical safety defect. Chevrolet has been contacted, but the dealer refused to treat this as a warranty safety issue so far. The vehicle remains available for inspection.Read more

... hen the coolant is low light, to which I then took it in for service I purchased this vehicle in December 2024 from a private party with approximately 56,000 miles on it, which is well within what should be considered reasonable, reliable use for a Ford vehicle. To date, there are approximately 61,000 miles on the vehicle. In August 2025, I was forced to replace the motor due to a head gasket and coolant issues. The work was completed at a reputable local auto shop, Auto Aces, at a total cost of $6,649.30. After further research, I discovered there is a current Technical Service Bulletin for this exact make, model, and year, identifying the same issues I experienced. I understand that a TSB is not an official recall; however, it demonstrates that Ford was aware of the defect. I firmly believe Ford bears responsibility for this failure and the financial burden it has caused. Additionally, after only 16 months, the battery inexplicably failed and required replacement. While this was covered under warranty, it further illustrates the unreliability of this vehicle. This expense was not the result of normal wear and tear but of a documented defect that should never have been passed on to consumers.Read more

The symptoms include 1- the interior upper section horizontal lag bolts that hold the camper walls to the frame all had come loose completely. There were four on one side and five on the other. 2- the underside curved fillon panel by the pin box is ripple and curved, and shows movement 3- the left and right sides of the camper towards the front are becoming out of square with the rest of the camper and the seals around the doors are showing larger gaps and looking more out of square 4- interior doors and exterior doors of the camper are all experiencing difficulty latching and are becoming out of square to the original structure 5- there is a changing of the distance, measurements both in height, and in relation to the lower frame members from the pin box where the camper tows from. I spoke with Fowler toyota rental and service manager they said the recall for my car wont be avaiable till October- that is another 2 months from now. The dealership do aware this is safety recall and i should get a rental but im not comtable with Toyota may review and 2 months later rejected my rental bill for reimburse. Toyota Corporate kept telling me they have to review later. First call with them on 08/07/2025- the lady told me that Toyota will definitely review and pay for the reimbursement, i just need to go rent and pay for them myself first then reimburst later. Many air bubbles are appearing towards the bottom of the instrument panel on our 2015 Tesla Model S. This started a couple of weeks ago and the bubbles are increasing in size and number and they are moving upwards. The bubbles don’t presently obscure important driver information such as the transmission mode (drive, park, reverse, neutral), remaining battery range (e.g. 80%), car speed (mph),
... parking sensor distance, brake light status, car door open, frunk open, tailgate open, time, outdoor temperature, car lights on/off, warning lights, etc. However, the bubbles likely will do so in the future. Much of this information is vital for safe driving (e.g. transmission mode, speed (mph), remaining battery range, brake light status, and warning lights). As such this display should be replaced by Tesla at nominal or no charge to the owner. According to the internet, the cause of these air bubbles is a failed seal around the instrument cluster that allows a lamination fluid between the LCD display and the cover glass to leak out. It is a very common problem with older Model S’s. It is a critical safety problem.Read more

I took the vehicle in for service and they determined the rear differential was failing and needed to be replaced. I had that done and that solved the problem with the rear end, but the transmission problem continues and the service center said the transmission is failing. 3 times in the last 4 weeks, I have had a situation where I get into the car to drive it and the Infotainment screen is black and not functional. The only way to reset it is to get out, lock the car, and come back 15 minutes later and it resolves itself. During the time the Infotainment screen is not functioning, the car is still drivable, but if you put it into reverse the backup camera is not
... shown on the infotainment screen, nor are any other of the assistive/safety features involved with parking or safely backing up the vehicle. I've taken the car into VW Service and it came back "unable to reproduce" and "no trouble found", and they provided no assistance in how to quickly restore functionality of the infotainment screen, including use of the safety NHSTA-mandated backup camera. This is a safety hazard, as the car is still drivable and it's likely people who have this problem will still drive the car even though mandated safety features like the backup camera are inoperative.Read more

Frame Flex & Water Intrusion - We first noticed movement back in August 2024. It seemed like the tongue was going to come through our back truck window where I sit to work with our 3 cats. ... ough the floor, leakage in master bedroom, floor warping and more. We took it in to have it fixed in November 2024 to only get her back in late march of 2025. They had to weld and reinforce frame but would not admit to frame flex or provide me with an updated weight placard so it's like they don't want evidence on it. They had to replace the whole floor which meant they had to take off slides to get everything out and now she is back up there with severe water intrusions from slides and other things again. Moisture reader is reading in places between 30 to 48% but Grand Design is denying any water intrusion even thought they took slides out. They only respond after an email is sent. This is unacceptable and hope that one day we can get these RV manufacturers to follow same rules as a vehicle. Why are they all in IN - they have the most laxed laws governing recreational vehicles. Our lives are in danger while driving these RV's on US highways which means we are putting others in danger too. Why aren't they held to a higher standard...where is the safety in all of this.
