My safety and the safety of others is being put at risk by the following: Multiple significant safety issues for driver & passengers from dashb1) visibility issues from extreme glare onto windshield result in blinding and/or distractiing driver, 2) Integrity of dashboard material is compromised (spongy, sticky, breaking down & worse with heat in normal conditions of use) 3) the dashboard is impaired where airbag would deploy from, 4) exposure to chemical fumes and particles from dashboard materials continues as it breaks down. I had Toyota Dealership Service Manager to view & inspect this dashboard in person on [XXX]. The service manager sat in driver seat and observed problem with extreme glare, touch to confirm stickiness, and I pointed to example of drips of melting dashboard, small pieces chipped & eroded from dashboard. The service manager also confirmed the passenger airbag does deploy from the dashboard (when asked). The toyota service manager then checked for recall or service program related to this issue. A customer service program would have replaced this for free - but showed as expired. I was then provided an estimate for dashboard replacement of $3128. This is serious defect that demands a safety recall. It impacts the safety and integrity of my vehicle and others on the road in the U.S. My vehicle only has 75,560 miles. No sensors or warning lights exist for dashboard material I'm aware of. The problem has been evolving overtime and getting worse. Merits safety recall. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. After investigating the failure, the contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V651000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic). The manufacturer was notified of the failure, a case was opened, and informed an inspector would inspect the vehicle. The failure mileage was 135,000. The VIN was invalid.Read more

This is what I read online as soon as I looked it up: Some Subaru models have had issues with their firewalls, including the 2008–2010 Impreza and WRX. These issues can include broken welds that cause other parts of the clutch system to wear out. Some symptoms of a Subaru firewall issue include: Failed clutch, Failing pedal assembly, Sheet metal tearing, Heavy clutch pedal, and Squeaky clutch. Some Subaru owners have reported that the firewall is cracked where the master cylinder is attached, causing problems when shifting. Others have reported that spot welds under the cowl are either cracked or deformed, and that there are little spaces in the firewall where the master cylinder flexes. ... ced the problem. I immediately brought the car to my mechanic's personal shop (he is also a master mechanic at a local automotive dealership). He confirmed that the leak was gasoline and diagnosed the problem as a rusted seam near the top of the fuel tank having ruptured, allowing the leak and filling the cabin of the vehicle with fumes. I knew that the local Mazda dealership would be unable to repair this promptly, if at all, since they had just fixed the exact same problem in my mother in law's vehicle of the same make, model, and year, and had struggled to get the replacement tank for weeks due to the supply chain problems experienced during the COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, I paid my own mechanic to source and install a tank, and coat it with anti-corrosion treatment. I contacted Mazda, explained the problem, and demanded they reimburse me, as the car was only 8 years old at the time. The Mazda representative refused to do anything to help me and did not answer my subsequent emails, so I posted about this problem on the [XXX] forum, and discovered others have had the same problem as my mother in law and I. We also lost a wheel and tire due to a suspension failure resulting in the wheel to be ripped from the hub and axle while going down a two lane highway at approximately 40 mph. 8 lug bolts were sheared completely off the wet bolt holding the springs were also broken. I again contacted grand design and dexter the axle manufacturer and was denied coverage at both locations. I do believe I'm suffering from some amount of frame failure. However I cannot get grand design to agree to check on how bad the frame issue really is. I had a SRT from grand design work on my tv in December of 2022. However he never finished all the issues we had brought to grand designs attention. Now that was over a year and a half ago since we saw the SRT, I have tried to contact him numerous times I never heard back from the SRT. We just heard that grand design has extended all frame warranties from 2 years to 5 years effective immediately from the 2020 model year. However it doesn't cover second owners or anyone before the 2020 model year. The unit I have a 2022 GD Solitude 390 rk-r. I ordered this rv new from the factory with 8k axles and disc brakes to make sure I had the highest amount of structure under the rv that was available at the time. I believe and the science will bear out these 18k rv’s should have come with triple 8k axles. Not twin 7k axles and subgrade steel frame structures. There are going to be very serious accidents with these rv’s until they are all recalled, a third 8k axle added and beefed up Frame structure completed. First few months the brakes started messing up got caught in the rain ran into a trash can left minor scartches but nothing was wrong internally. September got side swiped on the highway not a reportable accident but I had to change whatever held the wheel literal

... for repair. Vehicle does give any warning when engine/transmission failure occurs. This has been documented since I bought the vehicle in Sept. 2022 with the dealership. This is the 3rd or 4th time it has gone into be checked finally when it happened and dealership was able to reproduce they stated that transmission needs to be rebuilt or new one needs to be installed. Since warranty did not want to cover new transmission they are going to rebuilt it. Before this instance they said it was because transmission failure due to having some sensor reset which did not work.Read more

The manufacturers UVW and GVWR sticker knowingly contained incorrect OEM information with proof from a CAT scale leading to me as the owner believing the vehicle could have been loaded with more OEM item weight from the manufacturer than what was accounted for and annotated. Despite understanding the allowable weights and keeping this RV well under the advertised GVWR, the 6 separate leafsprings of the suspension are all flattened. The upper deck frame failed under normal on-road (and very little) use. A 2024 TSB was issued on my RV for "upper deck flex". .5" of movement at the pin box was the "within limits" passing grade. My unloaded and empty RV's measurement taken by an authorized service center by the manufacturer in keeping with the TSB, measured 1.5" of flex at the pin box. This failure was so great it led to the manufacturer instructing the Service center to not move it or release it to me out of safety concerns. It has been at the service center since 4/10/2024 ti present without any instruction or communication from the manufacturer on how to proceed either under warranty or otherwise.Read more
