... s later with a driver, passenger (front) and child (carseat behind driver) in the car leaving home. Driver noticed the door ajar light come on after being at speed and then looked back to see the driver-side back door slightly opened, then pulled over and closed it. The third time (1/23/26) was the same day, a few hours later with same driver, passenger, child in carseat on a return trip home. The passenger in the front looked back to see the driver-side back door completely open and notified the driver who then pulled over and closed the door. We called the dealership and they told us to bring it in immediately. We brought it in around 2/3p and by end of day the dealership responded with the following: "11224 checked the function of all doors. found normal operation. all doors working properly. scanned vehicle, no fault codes stored. please have customer make sure no one is the backseat that could've possible opened the door by accident. if a child is in the back seat pls be sure to turn child lock on by pushing switch on inner part of door. no problem found. have customer monitor and return if necessary." There was no indication that they drove the car and tried to replicate the conditions. Either way, there seems to be no explanation or resolution.Read more

I am the owner of a January 2021 6.2 liter Chevy Silverado 1500. I have had multiple issues with this vehicle. The mechanic stated it's not a matter of if it will go, is a matter of when We are a family of 5 and this is our family vehicle. We feel very uncomfortable driving this vehicle with our family knowing the engine is going to fail at any time while driving. **Upon request, all failed components can be inspected anytime for any reason. From this date (01/23/26) forward. If any repairs or replacementa had been rectified by Ford, receipts of the repair(s) will be provided regardless. I cannot recall exactly when these issues started so my ball park is 5/11/22. That is literally 2 years of driving the car from the show room. I was getting some lights
... on my dash that I have lost all functions with the vehicle ...ie: drivers assistance, airbags, up hill decent, pre- collision, no driving modes and the car felt normal. I was still under warranty so the repair that was done was an update to the BCM (is what I am told.) So the mechanic did a reprogram to the module. About a year I noticed I was then getting check headlamp notification pin my dash. I check the lamps and all seemed to be just fine. Also I was dealing with a dead battery all the time. at least once a month. But I was told I needed to drive the car more often. No matter still getting a dead monthly battery and here and there "check headlamp". Approx last year 2025, I realized. it was really dark driving the SUV. I get out and long behold the low beam headlamp was out. Played with switches..nothing. Checked into just getting a new one. its is a STAGGERING 1.5K!!!!PER HEADLamp! Well, the cops pull me over 4 times. For a headlight with LEDs why am I even having to price this? This Platinum trim just h I 5 years old and I cant believe all the problems. Along with that I found that this is considered something for the owner has to replace due to owners maintenance. No. THIS NEEDS TO BE RECALLED. SHOULD HAVE ALREADY BEEN RECALLED. THE DEAD BATTERY. WELL...I know am out of all warranties to the vehicle AND FORD IS SHUTTING THE DOOR IN MY FACE for any "goodwill repairs" (So far) As of this very moment, I have a dead 2020 Ford Platinum Explorer. Heads Lamp is still out. Yet there is a recall on a backup camera. Complete joke and this is literally disappointing.Read more

I've had 3 phantom breaking experiences. Most recently while driving on a straight wet road (one of the other experiences the road was also wet). I was travelling at approximately 30-33 mph and the system did an automatic hard break with a perfectly clear road ahead, no cars, people or animals in front of me or on either side. Thankfully, no one was behind me either. The other wet road auto brea
... k instance was when I was traveling between 22-26 mph on a road with a slight curve and vehicles were parked on the right side of the road. I was turning appropriately to take the slight turn and suddenly the breaks slammed on. There was no danger of me hitting anything. The third instance was when a vehicle was crossing a two lane road from left to right ahead of me. Two vehicles were ahead of me in the right lane traveling the same direction I was. My vehicle slammed on the brakes assessing that we would hit the vehicle crossing the lanes. There was absolutely no danger of that happening, I was multiple car lengths back. Should this happen when vehicles are traveling behind me, it could cause a very bad accident and it would appear that I would be liable for slamming on my breaks. I will begin trying to disable this safety feature whenever the roads are wet and make an appointment to have the dealer inspect the car. This has not been inspected or confirmed by anyone at this point. When this occurs, there is no warning - just slams the breaks and a "BREAK" warning with alert tones appears in the dash. No other warning lights or malfunction lights are on in my dash display. The vehicle is available for inspection with advanced notice so that I can make arrangements.Read more

Incident date: Mar 30, 2024
I purchased this vehicle new in June 2020. Since January 2022, it has experienced recurring water intrusion into the passenger cabin during heavy rain. Water leaks from the ceiling around the overhead console near the front reading/map lights. During heavy rain, water pools and causes the interior lights to turn on unexpectedly while driving. Generally, the lights cannot be turned off or immediate
... ly reactivate, creating a safety hazard at night. Water also drips onto the infotainment screen and center stack controls. To try to protect interior electronics, I have used absorbent materials to cover the center stack while parked and to wipe water while driving, which is distracting and unsafe. The issue has occurred repeatedly over multiple years and is reproducible. The vehicle has been inspected multiple times by authorized Audi service centers. Repairs have included cleaning sunroof drain tubes, replacing sunroof seals and adhesive pads, installing updated components, and water leak testing. Technicians confirmed water in the sunroof stowage tray and drains, and light malfunctions were attributed to water entering the cabin from the sunroof. Despite these repairs, the water intrusion continues to recur annually. During the most recent inspection, standing water was found in the rear sunroof drains, and sunroof removal and reinstallation was recommended but not covered. Service personnel confirmed the vehicle was properly maintained and not misused. The vehicle has approximately 17,000 miles. Primary symptoms are water dripping from the headliner and unintended activation of interior lighting while driving. Affected components include the sunroof assembly, drains, overhead console, and interior electrical systems. Other owners have reported similar issues, and multiple NHTSA Technical Service Bulletins acknowledge water entry from sunroof drains and seals. When I contacted Audi of America, I was informed that multiple complaints had been received, even that week.Read more

While driving in the Los Angelas area on March 24, 2025, on the 210 Freeway approaching the 605 Freeway the vehicle abruptly decelerated from 65mph to 45mph. A message appeared instructing "continue to your destination, do not turn off your engine, if you turn off your engine you may not be able to start it again." We contacted Jeep Connected who directed us to Cerritos CDJR. As we were heading so
... uth on the 605 Freeway the vehicle again abruptly decelerated to 28mph. This placed us in a dangerous safety situation as we were at the height of the afternoon traffic. The Service Advisor was able to determine that the Valve Body(VB) and Transmission Control Module(TCM) had failed. Also, both batteries were fully drained of their charge. The mileage was 4095. The comment was that the batteries contributed to the VB/TCM failure. We have continued to experience battery degradation with five (5) batteries having been replaced within the first year of ownership. We continue to identify battery degradation to the dealership but have received no correction to this defect. Over the past four (4) months we have documented "resting" battery voltage at a level where they are at or below 50% of their expected lifetime. While it is suggested that parasitic drain is the cause, we continually ensure that lights, radio, heating and air-conditioning and Jeep Connected are turned off when parked. I have documented to the Utah Division of Consumer Protection and NCDS these conditions. The ruling from NCDS is: DENIED. "I have reached this conclusion for the following reason: the customer did prove by shop work orders a Manufacturer defect does exist with the batteries discharging, which has affected the use and safety of the vehicle. However, there has only been three repair attempts with replacing batteries which is not considered unreasonable in my opinion." With the recognition by an Arbitrator that a manufacture defect exists which affects safety, it cannot be limited to my vehicle.Read more

I am requesting executive-level review and assistance regarding a documented paint failure on my 2022 Toyota Tacoma, finished in paint code 040 (Super White). Toyota has informed me that my VIN is not included in Customer Support Program #XXX. However, this determination does not align with the physical condition of my vehicle, which exhibits the same defect described in that program. The paint on
... the upper door frame surrounding the driver’s side rear cab window is actively peeling, with bare metal exposed. This is not cosmetic wear, environmental damage, or owner neglect. It is a manufacturing paint failure, occurring in a non-wear area and consistent with issues documented on other 2022 Tacoma vehicles with Super White paint. Exposed metal presents legitimate concerns regarding corrosion, long-term durability, and diminished resale value—none of which should occur on a vehicle of this age. Toyota’s reputation for quality is the reason I purchased this truck, and this experience has been both disappointing and frustrating. I am requesting that Toyota acknowledge the defect based on physical evidence, not solely VIN eligibility criteria, and provide a fair resolution, including inspection and repair or repainting of the affected area. I respectfully ask that this matter be escalated for review and resolution consistent with Toyota’s commitment to customer satisfaction and product quality. The vehicle is a leased 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee that was taken out of service due to two manufacturer safety recalls. The dealership retained possession of the vehicle for approximately eight (8) days to complete recall-related repairs. During this period, the vehicle was not safe to operate and no loaner vehicle or alternate transportation was provided. The dealership instructed us to obtain a

After returning the rental, we were forced to rely on other private transportation, including Uber, solely because the recalled vehicle remained unavailable. Despite the vehicle being disabled due to manufacturer safety recalls, the manufacturer has refused to fully reimburse these transportation costs. Throughout this period, we continued to pay our monthly lease payment in full and had no reasonable means of transportation. The vehicle has now been returned. This complaint is submitted to document the handling of safety recall repairs that resulted in extended loss of use, lack of alternate transportation, and out-of-pocket expenses borne by the consumer due to a manufacturer safety defect.Read more
