I am submitting this complaint to report serious concerns regarding the quality, safety, and reliability of my new Kia Soul, as well as the financial burden caused by defects that should not occur on a vehicle with such low mileage. At approximately **8,500 miles**, one of the original tires failed prematurely. I was forced to purchase a used tire to keep the vehicle safely drivable. I had the fr
... ont alignment inspected, and I was informed that it was within normal specifications, yet the tire issue persisted. Now at **10,000 miles**, I am still experiencing abnormal tire wear. Additionally, at **10,000 miles**, the vehicle began making **grinding noises when applying the brakes**, which is extremely concerning for a car that is still essentially new. These issues raise questions about the vehicle’s manufacturing quality and whether it meets reasonable consumer expectations for safety and durability. I purchased this vehicle with the expectation that it would be reliable and free from major defects. Instead, I am facing unexpected expenses, safety concerns, and ongoing problems that should be covered under warranty. I am now questioning whether I should continue making payments on a vehicle that is already showing signs of significant defects. I am requesting that the FTC review this matter as a potential issue involving product quality, warranty compliance, and consumer protection. I am seeking assistance in ensuring that Kia addresses these defects appropriately and that my rights as a consumer are upheld. Thank you for your attention to this matter.Read more

Before getting the recall completed on this 2018 Honda Fit I was experiencing the engine misfiring and engine stalling while driving as well as many warning light illuminating on the dashboard. When taking the vehicle to the dealership they found out that I needed a recall completed for the fuel pump so this may have been what was causing the engine misfiring, stalling, and illuminated warning lig
... hts on the dashboard. But, because I was experiencing a misfire they went ahead and charged me for a diagnosis so they can make sure there are no other issues going on. So after performing the recall on the fuel pump replacement the dealer technician says there in an active engine code and says its P0301 for engine misfire and with further checking says I need to replace a four fuel injectors with only 85,000 miles on the vehicle. Since this was the initial cause of the issue I thought this would be a recall as well but the dealer said it was not and wanted to charge me for replacement of all four fuel injectors. I believe since this is the same issue in regards to safety that they should be covering this under warranty or forced/voluntary recall. I would like there to be an investigation into this issue since this seems like a design flaw from the manufacturer which when reading the fuel pump recall says "the fuel pump failure can cause an engine stall while driving, increasing the risk of a crash" which describes the ongoing issue I have with my vehicle after the safety recall was completed.Read more

The engine pump went in my vehicle (21 Kia Sorrento) and is giving a code of P193B79. There was a recall that the dealership said they completed in 2023 to fix this. When I asked the dealership what they did to fix this in 2023, they said they checked for the code and it didn't have the code. Since they closed the recall, because it didn't currently have the code, they marked it complete and won't
... fix the issue with the transmission now. This was the information I got from the dealership. Then they proceded to tell me that SC250 is for code P1C2D03 and my car is giving code P193B79. I explained when I search online the two issues are very closely related and the kmsister company of Hyundai includes both coves in their recall. I have loss of power, as stated in the recall. I explained to the dealership that when I pulled out of my road, I tried to cross and I pressed the gas. The car would not got above 15 mph and the rpms went very high. The dealership called it a "limp motor" when I described it to them. After calling Kia customer service they told me that the dealership makes the call if it is under warranty. I called the dealership back and they told me again that because it was marked completed in 2023, it can't be under that recall. I easked because I didn't have the code in 2023, what was done to prevent this issue from happening on my car. They explained again they closed the ticket in 2023, so it can't be under that recall. I am having the loss of power, explained in SC250 and the dealership told me it is the engine pump fail. They explained it is the same part but a different code. I explained again how those 2 codes are very similar issues and their sister company agrees. I also explained an article I found online for Kia, where those 2 codes are very related. The article explained if the dealership did not cover it, call Kia. If still not resolved, file a complaint with NHTSA. That brings me here. Thank you!Read more

I ducked and took cover. I was scared for my life. I noticed a women exiting her car across from mine, assumed it was safe. I asked her if she saw anything. She seen I was shaking up, and my window was shattered. She did not see anything. She asked if we needed assistance to contact the police department. Starbucks employees and witnesses assisted as we were unsure as to what was going on, and worried. I suffer from epilepsy and asthma and I have health problems. It was a lot to take in at that moment; my partner was concerned for me as I was for him. My 2021 Chevrolet Suburban stalled while driving in late September 2025 and had to be towed to a dealership. The vehicle is subject to an active fuel pump power control module safety recall that has been in effect since 2021. The vehicle was brought in specifically for repair of this issue. The work was processed under warranty, and I was charged a deductible. After learning the repair was direct
... ly related to an active safety recall, I requested reimbursement of the deductible, as recall repairs should be completed at no cost. That reimbursement request was denied. I have since been informed that the recall repair was never “completed,” and the recall still shows open in the manufacturer’s system. I am now experiencing shuddering and symptoms consistent with a potential stall recurrence. The original stall occurred while I was transporting my children, including special needs children who require regular transportation to school and therapies. The vehicle failure left us stranded at night in an unsafe area. Due to the prior stall, the unresolved recall status, and the recurrence of symptoms, I do not feel the vehicle is safe to operate. I purchased the 2022 Lexus RX 350 used a couple of months ago. While driving down the highway the instrument panel went blank. I was terrified. I continued to drive not knowing what speed I was driving. The instrument panel went panel came back minutes later. Another incident occurred when the car was parked in my driveway. I turned on the engine and the instrument panel was blank. No numbers
... and no information on the instrument panel. As I drove down the street slowly the instrument panel returned to normal. A third incident occurred when occurred as we were driving on the highway. The light on the instrument panel began to darken. My husband was driving and I was in the passenger seat I was able to access the light app on the dash and restore the light to the original setting. This car is not on the recall list. It should be because this is a matter of life or death. The car had 59000 miles on it when we bought it so it is not under warranty. I contacted Lexus and they refused any help until I take it to a Lexus dealer and have it diagnosed. I don’t drive it daily because I have other vehicles but I would like to be able to drive it and have full use of the instrument panel. The problem repeats itself.Read more

I am reporting a defect related to carbon buildup in the Secondary Air Injection (SAI) system on my 2016 Audi Q5 3.0L Supercharged (engine code CTUC). My vehicle has been diagnosed by an Audi dealer with DTC P0491 – Secondary Air Injection System Insufficient Flow, and restricted secondary air flow has been confirmed through Audi-authorized diagnostics. This failure mode is described in TSB 201
... 4569 and TSB 2014665/4. I discovered this when the check engine light illuminated and I sought a diagnostic from the dealer which cost me $249. Audi has acknowledged this condition as a defect in other vehicles by issuing Warranty Extension U19 (10 years / 120,000 miles), which covers carbon buildup in the secondary air injection ports. However, Audi denied U19 coverage for my vehicle solely because my VIN is not included in the warranty extension population. This condition results in increased emissions which impact the environment and which will cause the vehicle to not pass the emissions inspection required for registration. Audi has not provided any technical explanation distinguishing my vehicle from those covered under U19, despite identical fault codes, failure mechanism, and required repair procedure. The repair involves removal and cleaning of carbon buildup in the cylinder head secondary air ports and is quoted at approximately $2,500.Read more
