I have experienced a ICCU failure at 7200 miles on my 2025 EV6 GT Line. This failure is a safety hazard as it will quickly disable the vehicle and strand the occupants wherever they be at the time of failure. (highway, back roads, day or night). There are warning lights when this occurs, but there is a very limited time to get to safety, depending on the state of charge of the onboard 12v battery
... . This issue has been ongoing since this vehicle came out in 2022. There have been a number of recalls to address the problem, but apparently without success. I see postings all the time with others experiencing this failure. When I inquired about the availability of the replacement ICCU, I was told that the part was on national back order. I was also told there were 147 units in transit, 47 were already spoken for. This seems to indicate that this is a very common issue, affecting many drivers.Read more

I own a 2016 Acura ILX and recently discovered multiple federally mandated safety recalls affecting my vehicle, including a brake master cylinder recall, fuel pump recall, driveshaft separation recall, and Takata airbag recall. I have owned this vehicle for over seven years and was never notified by mail or otherwise at my correct address that these safety recalls existed. One recall is currently

The remaining recalls are listed as not active, yet were never completed, and the dealer refused to perform them. While driving at highway speeds, my daughter experienced, without any prior symptom, a violent shaking of the vehicle in general, accompanied by violent shaking of the steering wheel, making the vehicle difficult to control. We have since discovered it is a known issue "popularly" known as the "Jeep Death Wobble". My daughter was startled and frightened by the extent of the shaking and nearly lost
... control of the vehicle while driving 6o+ miles per hour on a highway. She managed to pull off the side of the road and call me to come pick her up, unwilling to drive the vehicle any further. We currently live in Ohio; if we still lived in San Antonio, TX and she was driving on one of their raised overpasses, I fear what might have happened. I believed this to be an anomaly, but have now experienced this phenomenon on four out of five Jeep Wrangle/Gladiator vehicles within my own family, a failure rate of 80%. All occurred prior to 36,000 miles (but after three years). When I took the vehicle in for repair to the Jeep dealership, they modified my statement of the problem on official paperwork because, they said, if they mentioned "death wobble" on paperwork, they would have a team of engineers descend on their dealership (which they did not want). They also recommended a repair that did not fix the problem. As an engineer, I recognize this as likely a resonance design flaw. My fear is, based on this statement and my lived experience, this serious safety issue is being greatly under-reported. While some years/models have received recalls, not all have ... and Jeep appears complicit in addressing this safety issue across all vehicles exhibiting this frightening, potentially accident-inducing issue. I cannot understand why a recall does not cover all affected vehicles ... unless, as I mentioned, the issue is being under-reported by the company. Please investigate/address this issue before someone dies. I honestly believe I came close to losing one of my daughters that day.Read more

SUBJECT: Catastrophic Steering Failure and Erroneous Safety Recall Notification - 2014 BMW 335i 105,000 milles INCIDENT DESCRIPTION: While driving, the vehicle completely lost steering control. The electronic steering rack disengaged due to a failure in the aluminum mounting bolts. This incident resulted in a near-fatal accident in which the vehicle almost left the road and fell into a ravine. I h
... ave 360-degree camera video showing my steering wheel locking up and me struggling to survive. If you contact me, I can provide the video evidence. TECHNICAL BASIS: This failure matches the criteria described in BMW Technical Service Bulletin TSB 01 15 16 (and the previous NHTSA recall 14V-632), regarding corrosion and shearing of the aluminum bolts of the EPS (Electronic Power Steering) system. SAFETY REPORT VIOLATION (CRITICAL): The primary concern of this investigation is a significant discrepancy in the safety reports. When checking the official NHTSA.gov portal for this specific VIN, the system shows "0 open recalls." Similarly, the BMW recall portal also shows 0 open recalls. However, a thorough search of the history through third-party vehicle audit systems reveals four ACTIVE SAFETY RECALLS that have never been addressed: Driver's Front Airbag (Takata): High risk of shrapnel. Inflatable Side Curtain Airbag: Deployment failure. Fuel Pump: Risk of sudden engine stalling. Exterior Lighting/Reflectors. DAMAGES: As a result of this mechanical failure and BMW's failure to accurately report the open safety recalls for this vehicle, I have been diagnosed with severe Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and am currently under medical treatment. I have my medical diagnosis, which states that I developed PTSD as a result of my accident. I now depend on my mother to drive; the mere thought of getting into a car causes me intense fear. I cannot drive without being afraid. The vehicle is currently insured and available for inspection as evidence of this catastrophic failure.Read more

In the event of a failure occurring in traffic, occupants may be left stranded in a travel lane with no ability to push or reposition the vehicle, significantly increasing the risk of a rear-end or multi-vehicle collision. This condition occurred immediately following the engine failure and was not accompanied by any prior warning or instructions to allow safe vehicle repositioning. I am unaware of any manual or mechanical override that would allow the vehicle to be shifted into neutral under these conditions. Airbag light came on intermittently at first, then constantly in 2023. It was determined to be a defective ODS in the passenger seat, and was repaired at Subaru’s expense “Goodwill” on November 2 2023. The defective component is still in the car, but I cannot accommodate a front seat passenger safely. Both times, I was told “probable” moisture damage, although the first repair in 2023 revealed no moisture, and this seat has never gotten wet. A failure of the front passenger airbag would put a front seat passenger as higher risk in a collision. In 2020 a recall of the ODS electrical harness was repaired under recall. I have and am the original owner of a Kia Cadenza 2017 with the 3.3L Lambda engine (same engine as the Sorento lawsuit). The issue occurred about 300 miles ago where the dealership erased it. Then told the vehicle did not have any issues. Brought it back to the Kia dealership where they finally gave a proper diagnosis after being told nothing was wrong with car. To Whom It May Concern, I am submitting this complaint to report ongoing engine and emissions system problems with my 2016 Honda Pilot that raise serious safety concerns and may be related to a broader defect currently under investigation. I purchased this vehicle from a dealership in April of 2024 and the issues began shortly afterward at approximately 67,000 miles. The vehicle currently has ap
... proximately 74,600 miles and has received regular oil changes and routine maintenance. The vehicle has repeatedly displayed emissions system warning messages and engine fault codes. It has experienced persistent engine misfiring even after a mechanic performed repairs on cylinder 1. In addition, the vehicle exhibits rough engine shaking during driving and idling, engine stalling, and rough or delayed gear changes continuously since 2024. Despite attempted repairs, the problems continue to occur to present. The stalling, misfiring, and unstable engine operation create a potential safety risk, particularly while driving at speed or in traffic. The rough shifting and loss of smooth power delivery further impact safe vehicle operation. Given the relatively low mileage, proper maintenance, and the recurrence of these symptoms, this does not appear to be normal wear and tear. I am aware that similar engine-related complaints have been reported by other owners of 2016 Honda Pilot vehicles and that this model year is included in an ongoing federal investigation into potential engine defects. I am requesting that this complaint be reviewed as part of that investigation and considered for further action, including possible recall or service remedy, to address the safety risks posed by these engine and emissions system failures. The component that malfunctioned is the transmission, specifically the internal transmission lead frame and related sensors. This vehicle previously required a transmission lead frame replacement in December 2023 after experiencing loss of power, erratic shifting, wrench warning lights, and limp-mode behavior. After that repair, the vehicle operated normally for approximately two years. Beginning
... in December 2025, the same symptoms reoccurred, including unexpected downshifts, RPMs not matching vehicle speed, reduced acceleration, flashing or erratic gear indicators, wrench warning lights, and intermittent reduced-power or limp-mode operation. During the recurrence, the vehicle experienced loss of power at highway speeds, creating a safety risk during normal driving conditions and requiring me to quickly pull over. Although no collision occurred, the sudden loss of power at highway speed presented a safety concern for maintaining speed and safely interacting with traffic. Shutting off and restarting the vehicle typically clears the issue temporarily, but the problem may return unpredictably, sometimes within as little as 10 minutes or other times not reappearing for days or weeks. Prior to the most recent failure, intermittent symptoms occurred for several weeks, including occasional wrench warning lights and hesitation. The issue was previously confirmed by an independent transmission service center (AAMCO), which diagnosed and replaced the transmission lead frame. A Ford dealership inspected the vehicle but was unable to identify or resolve the issue. The vehicle remains in my possession and is available for inspection upon request. Occurred at 97k and 123k mileage.Read more

The car was driven from Cheshire, CT to Old Tappan, NJ about 90 miles, just under two hours drive time. Combination of highway and back roads. The car was in drive in comfort mode proceeding slowly (approx 20 mph) down a street within a condo complex. As I approached the driveway I lightly braked, turned into the driveway then lightly pressed the accelerator to bring the car up the driveway apron
... onto the single car length driveway. At that point the car accelerated to what felt like max power. The car accelerated uncontrollably causing the car to advance in a right turn through the closed garage door striking a garaged vehicle in the right rear quarter and the right wall of the garage. Fortunately no one was hurt but this could have resulted on severe injury or death. No pre warning lights just a slight burning smell just before. This unrequested acceleration occurred twice before the crash incident leaving a traffic light from stop. Porsche has analyzed the car and find no fault. The insurance company has sent an adjuster. Damage estimated at $73,000.00.Read more

My 2024 Nissan had a malfunction light of my auto on/off come on and then a malfunction of the traction control. I turned the car on and off which cleared the lights. I then began driving again and those came on as well as check engine light and reduced power came on while on the highway. The code was the camshaft sensor. I replaced this and codes still appear. Another mechanic put my car back on

Oil changes were down regularly and this was a cash purchase. I loved my car up until this point. But at this point once I spend the extremely high amount to get this fixed I will be leaving nissan behind.Read more
