On May 13. 2026 traveling southbound on I15 Utah at 75 MPH the engine Stop and put the tranmisson in N and I move the truck to a stop. then the Truck shut Down. I had the Truck tow to the nearest GMC and was informed that the Engine had sezed. I had recalled done to pervent engine failure.

After the vehicle was purchased in October 2023, it immediately had an issue shifting very hard. After numerous trips to the servicing dealership in attempts for error codes to be discovered with no success, the dealership gave the recommendation to flush the transmission as this was a fix for this type of engine in November 2024. ... le continued to have the issue with hard shifting and also developed less efficient gas mileage and would misfire upon ignition and there was a constant knock when running. After a prominent ticking began in May 2026, it was discovered that the timing chain was broken and we were told the rods could impale the engine and go through the hood if the engine was not replaced. The engine had completely failed and needed to be replaced including radiator and hoses. The engine, radiator, and hoses were replaced 05/2026. The invoices for both of these Service transactions are attached. After much research and advice, it appears this issue was the same issue that was happening with the other 6.2L L87 engines from the years 2021 to 2024 that were recalled.Read more

A known problem with these trucks is ground strap failure. I was driving and all the sudden lost power steering which almost caused an accident. There is a customer satisfaction program N252515590 that covers 2019-2024 trucks but mine was not included in this for some reason. I did have the truck fixed a my cost and was looking to get my money back from GM. I'm not sure if you can help with this

Owner was driving at highway speeds and the vehicle experienced multiple sudden stops. After consulting with the GMC certified repair facility, the control valve body of the transmission was determined to be faulty and replaced. As a result of the sudden stop at highway speeds, the owner experienced a torn rotator cuff and could have been involved in a serious motor vehicle crash.

Ok so my first issues were with the vehicle stalling while driving in gear. Happened a few times intersections off-ramps etc…and the car would roll to a stop. Luckily no one killed. Again happened a few times. Went to dealer they “fixed”it. Then it happened a couple other times…scary shit…went to dealer then they“Fixed” it again. Happened again I didnt bring it back. By this point
... I was carrying a 10 millimeter wrench in the glovebox to disconnect the battery so the body computer would reset. Car would start after cycling the power from the battery terminal. And Those were my electrical problems …As far as mechanical problems I brought car in for the recall notice “ the pico test’ . My 2019 GMC Terrain has a faulty back up camera system. It shows a blue screen that says Service rear view camera system, This has been a faulty system for years until it finally stopped working completely. I have researched the issue and have discovered this is a known problem. There was a Service Bulletin 19-NA-076 dated April of 2019. Why has there not been a recall for this safety issue?

The recall was closed by the dealer as “PicoScope Inspection — Engine Passed / Update Engine Oil Type,” with the oil/cap/filter remedy. The vehicle was later brought back to the dealer for engine noise/knocking, check-engine light, and engine

The dealer has now confirmed that the dipstick was not picking up oil, the oil level was severely low, the oil condition was severely degraded, and abnormal engine noise was heard. My VIN also shows active GM Special Coverage N252494003 through 1/15/2032 or 150,027 miles. The dealer previously stated that the underlying PicoScope pass data from the recall inspection is no longer available to the dealership after submission. This is not the first oil-related concern. During a prior service visit in September 2025, around the same time the L87 recall was completed, the dealer documented an engine oil low message and an upper oil pan leak causing the low-oil message. I am concerned the L87 engine may be failing after the recall remedy was previously marked complete, creating a risk of engine failure or loss of propulsion while driving. I am also concerned the current engine/oil/noise condition is being treated as customer-pay/out-of-warranty before the root cause is fully diagnosed or reviewed by GM under Special Coverage N252494003.Read more
