While operating the vehicle, an intermittent audible warning sound occurs without any corresponding alert, message, or notification displayed on the dashboard or infotainment screen. The specific component or system causing the warning is unknown. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. This condition puts my safety at risk because the unexplained warning sound occurs while driving
... and causes me to divert my attention from the road in an attempt to identify the source or meaning of the alert, creating a driver distraction. The issue has been reproduced multiple times under normal driving conditions. I demonstrated the condition to the dealership and provided video evidence; however, the issue has not been diagnosed or confirmed, and no root cause has been identified. The vehicle has been inspected by the dealership, but no explanation or resolution has been provided. The manufacturer is aware of the issue through an open case. There were no warning lamps, messages, or prior indicators associated with this condition. The audible warning occurs without any visible alert or explanation. The condition began shortly after purchase in November 2025 and was later documented and demonstrated to the dealership in January 2026.Read more

I am reporting a significant safety compliance issue involving a Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) vehicle and the fraudulent reporting of a safety recall completion. On March 21, 2026, I attempted to purchase the vehicle listed above. This vehicle is subject to NHTSA Recall 22V753 (VW Campaign 13i4) regarding engine connecting rod failure. Before signing, I requested documentation proving the recall had
... been performed. The dealership staff repeatedly insisted that the recall "had to have been completed" as part of the CPO process. Upon my further insistence, the dealership finally admitted that the recall work had NOT been performed and stated it would "be completed on Monday." However, a check of the VIN on [XXX] and VW’s public portal shows "0 Open Recalls," indicating the dealership has officially marked this safety recall as "Closed" or "Completed" in the system despite the remedy not being applied. This dealership is actively marketing and attempting to deliver a vehicle with a known engine failure risk as "Certified" while falsifying federal safety records. This is a clear violation of the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act and poses an immediate risk to any consumer who might purchase this vehicle believing the safety defect has been remedied. Vin number is [XXX] I can't personally verify that the vin number falls within the lot described, however given their response was "our bad we're doing this on Monday" I can only come to the safe conclusion in my purchase decision that it does recall this recall procedure and that they fraudulently marked this recall as completed. Several times, the car's "panic braking" has randomly slammed the brakes and tightened the seat belt. The vehicle’s ignition system began malfunctioning immediately after a recall-related service (Campaign CS2312 – ignition cylinder protector installation) performed on January 9, 2026. I purchased this new ram in 2023. About 18 months just over 36k miles on vehicle drivers side seat belt quit retracting leaving it loose on my chest. I called Ram made a complaint and was given a claim number for cost assistance to replace seat belts only to later get a call back by case supervisor saying there would be no assitance as it was against strict guidelines that RAM was not responible and would not help. 2022 Subaru Ascent. Noticed progressive strong odor in the car. After rain had significant fluid accumulation in the front passenger ceiling, inside front passenger door (sloshing), and wet carpets on the floor on the passenger side. Serviced by Subaru dealer water specialist who reported (1) clogged moonroof drains and "popped off connector" leading to flooding of the entire front passenger ceili
... ng; (2) detached vapor barrier in the passenger door allowing water to collect inside the door and drain into the car; (3) significant concern for mold based on the extent of damage and odor accumulating over time. Told by dealer the drains could be unclogged and they'd repair the popped off connection with a zip-tie fastener since it was not tight enough before, re-affix the vapor barrier in the door, but otherwise their expressed SAFETY concern related to the extent of suspected mold and the poor effects that would have on the health of us and our children. Told the mold was unlikely to fully remediate despite usual efforts, as it creates a fibrous web that is very difficult to ever fix, and the recommendation was that we probably not drive the car again. Told no water damage of any etiology is covered under any Subaru warranty. Dealer refused at first to give documentation about the service or recommendations. Later gave but left off mold documentation - we requested they add it back on, if we choose to sell or trade in the vehicle later we refuse to do so without the mold and associated health risks being public knowledge for a future owner of this vehicle. We also reported that our Subaru Eyesight (collision avoidance system) had been intermittently shorting out, online reports show this can be related to drain floods. No report/update thus far by Subaru on this, also not included in report. We filed a complaint with Subaru of America but have not been called back despite two weeks of repeated calls to them for an update.Read more

After performing regular oil changes, and even a new fuel pump sensor, I experienced an issue. Last oil change was within the past two weeks. Driving home from the mountains, I heard a knocking sound from the engine bay. I narrowed it down to all gears above 2500RPM, increasing knocking with RPM speed. I took it easy on the engine, mostly coasting down the mountain. Suddenly during acceleration on
... an uphill, a pop sounded, and copious white smoke started coming from the engine bay. I pulled over despite having no power brakes but I was fortunate to be near an off ramp in a rural area. Trying to troubleshoot roadside, i noticed fluid on the tie rod, but I wasnt able to determine what kind of fluid it was. When I try to start the car, there is one single click, the engine wont even attempt to turn over. Oil, battery and check engine lights are all on. After towing, I found that the fluid leaking from the vehicle is oil. The vehicle is currently at a transmission shop, but from my research, this isnt a transmission issue but a blown rod bearing the Hyundai engines are know for. I will be contacting a dealership to see if they will at least confirm my diagnosis.Read more

I purchased a used 2021 Passport the end of May 2025. While driving, the 'collision mitigation braking system' or CMBS would activate the braking system and would intermittently just brake, causing panic for not only myself, but I'm sure drivers behind me for suddenly braking with no imminent threat in from of me. This happened multiple times without receiving any warning or notifications, just
... suddenly. It would happen without warning, or sometimes nearing a bridge or a cover plate on the road, which almost caused accidents multiple times to get rear ended. I have driven for decades and never felt anxiety until I drove this vehicle for a few months. I felt scared driving this vehicle, feeling uncertain when it would suddenly just brake. Eventually after a few months of driving, I got a reading that said CMBS problem on the screen. I scheduled an appointment with the dealer. The dealer suggested a near $3000 replacement for a camera (on a 2021 vehicle). At the appointment, I ultimately returned this vehicle to the dealer where I bought it and unfortunately lost out on thousands of dollars after having the vehicle about 6 months. I am filing this complaint regarding a manual transmission failure on my 2017 Mazda MX-5 Miata (VIN: [XXX] ) at 55,000 miles. The failure occurred without warning while driving, causing immediate and significant transmission malfunction. Mazda issued Technical Service Bulletin 05 [XXX] c addressing this exact defect — defective synchros in 2nd and 3rd gear causing grinding, inability to engage g
... ears, and transmission failure. My VIN falls within the TSB coverage range. The cutoff is sequential number XXX and my sequential number is XXX, placing me within the affected range. Despite this documented defect and my vehicle being under Mazda's Powertrain Limited Warranty at time of failure (under 60,000 miles), Mazda refused full coverage. The dealer offered only 50% goodwill. I escalated to the Mazda regional representative, who also declined full coverage and redirected me back to the dealer — evasive given the documented nature of this defect. This is not isolated. Multiple 2016–2017 MX-5 owners have reported identical failures, and a Mazda engineer publicly acknowledged on video that weak transmission tolerances cause gear teeth to shear under load. Active petitions are calling for a formal recall. While I was able to drive to the dealership, this failure occurred without warning. A similar failure at highway speeds or in a less favorable situation could result in complete loss of vehicle control, posing significant danger to the driver and surrounding traffic. I request that NHTSA: (1) investigate this defect across all 2016–2017 MX-5 Miata manual transmission vehicles, (2) determine whether a formal recall is warranted, and (3) require Mazda to honor full warranty coverage for VINs within the TSB range. I have retained all documentation and am prepared to provide additional information upon request. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)Read more

Rear climate control system fails to provide cooled air to the second and third rows during normal vehicle operation. Front vents produce cold air while rear vents blow warm to hot air despite temperature settings at minimum, high fan speed, and recirculation enabled. The condition has been present since vehicle delivery and has persisted despite three repair attempts by an authorized dealership.
... The problem has been reproducible under both driving and idle conditions. Independent measurements using a probe-based temperature instrument inserted into the vents confirm a significant difference between front and rear discharge temperatures. After approximately 25 minutes of driving in moderate weather (about 72°F ambient), front vents measured approximately 42–44°F while second and third row vents remained approximately 72–86°F. In warmer conditions, rear vent temperatures have exceeded 90°F. Adjusting the front climate control to a normal comfort setting causes rear temperatures to rise further even when rear controls remain set to maximum cooling. The vehicle is a three-row family SUV. The failure exposes rear passengers, including a toddler in a rear-facing car seat, to elevated temperatures during normal driving, particularly in hot and humid southern Louisiana conditions. Young toddlers are more vulnerable to heat exposure and cannot easily regulate internal body temperatures themselves, increasing safety concerns. The defect substantially limits safe and practical use of rear seating areas and remains unresolved despite repeated service attempts. No warning indicators are provided to the driver that rear cooling is inadequate. The condition reduces the vehicle’s ability to safely transport passengers in rear seating positions during hot weather. The vehicle manufacturer, Stellantis N.V., has been formally notified of the condition and is aware of the issue.Read more

I had 93u9 criteria 04 recall done in February. As of March 6, I had a no power supply message. Without being able to charge it went to the dealer. They said it was the charge port assembly but not from the recall since that was software. Once that was fixed they charged the car and it immediately had the fault electrical malfunction. Now they say i need to replace the rear drive motor. Then thy c
... alled again and said the 12v battery needs to be replaced as well. This all happened while still at the dealer. I didn’t have those faults prior, yet they want to say none of its related. This appears all related. After I got the car back from the recall, I had two times the charging didn’t want to start, then I had ghost wiping with the rear wiper and the infotainment system rebooted several times while driving. Safety had gotten much worse and now there are cascading failures. Audi does not want to admit the recall was the cause, but the car had no issues prior and now a month later had $17000 in repairs. Audi has had the error code reports requested by me, but they have not provided them including the corporate office. I feel this recall caused a catastrophic failure of my battery and electrical system.Read more

CHARGING SYSTEM DEFECT: The manufacturer-supplied portable charger (rated 9.6kW at 240V/40A) delivers only 7.4kW — a 23% shortfall. The authorized dealer confirmed this measurement in March 2026 but refused to repair, stating "no issues." The charging rate also degrades over time without manual reset. The vehicle also intermittently fails to charge at DC fast charging stations — it begins cha
... rging, then stops within minutes displaying "Malfunction of charging" error. Other EVs charge normally at the same stations. SAFETY RISK: Charging failures create a stranding hazard. The vehicle can fail to charge at public stations without warning, leaving the driver unable to complete trips. REPAIR HISTORY: 5+ visits to two authorized dealerships over 10 months (May 2025–March 2026), 16+ days out of service. No fix — returned each time as "no fault found" despite video evidence of failures shown to dealer at every visit. Manufacturer corporate support also failed to resolve. Dealer found DTCs for charger communication faults. A demand letter was sent to manufacturer — no response received. Vehicle and charger available for inspection.Read more
