While driving I get a reduced acceleration warning on my dash cluster, drastically reducing horse power. My check engine light came on. This has happened before. I checked the code and it was a P1098 code. After researching I found out it was the Engine coolant control valve. My fan is constantly running. This issue is ongoing. This seems to be a common occurrence with my vehicle year.

The ICCU failed. This was verified both by my local Hyundai dealership, Conicelli, and Hyundai Corporate. My safety was put at risk because my car rapidly lost power, informing me to pull over now while I was in the middle of driving. This happened with no other warning. The component has been inspected by the manufacturer, and I had even received a recall already that was supposed to prevent this
... issue from happening. There were no prior warning signs other than the alert to pull over now, which accompanied a rapid loss of power.Read more

For the past month I have noticed my truck has been dripping oil, I pulled the shield off and saw my engine oil cooler lines leaking at the crimp points. To Whom It May Concern, I am filing a safety complaint regarding my 2017 Jeep that is currently under recall for the Power Transfer Unit (PTU). I experienced a very frightening situation while driving in traffic when my vehicle would not properly stay in place, and I had to keep firm pressure on the brake to prevent it from rolling back into traffic. If I had not reacted quickly, this could have
... resulted in a serious accident or injuries. I have been informed that this issue is related to a serious recall involving the PTU, which can cause loss of power and rollaway risk. However, I have been told that there are no parts available yet and no timeline for when the repair will be completed. I am extremely concerned about continuing to drive a vehicle with a known safety defect. This is my third Jeep, and I recently paid this vehicle off. I depend on it daily for my job, to get my little girl to school. I am very thankful that this situation was not worse, but it easily could have been. I should not have to worry about my vehicle rolling into traffic due to a known recall issue. I have contacted Jeep recall representatives regarding this matter and was informed that no loaner vehicle would be provided and that if I needed alternate transportation, I would have to pay out of pocket. I do not believe it is reasonable for consumers to bear additional financial burden when the vehicle has a known safety defect under recall. I respectfully request that this matter be investigated and that action be taken to ensure repairs are made available as soon as possible to protect myself and other drivers on the road. Sincerely, Whitney PhillipsRead more

On December 23, 2025 while driving at 50 mph the car displayed an electrical warning and would not let me drive more than 40 mph. When I drove it to the dealer on December 27 (because the dealer said I had to wait until after Christmas ) it would not go over 20 mph. The vehicle has been at the dealer awaiting an ICCU part since December 27, 2025. Over 50 days!

My 2023 Yukon AT4 was taken to certified GMC dealer in November 2025 for the engine recall. The dealership gave my vehicle a clean bill of health at that time and the recall repair was cleared. On Friday, 2/13/26, myself and 5 other family members were en route to my godfather's veteran funeral service in Newtown, PA. We were going 75mph in the middle lane of the PA Turnpike when the motor seized
... up and vehicle lost all steering control and power. Since it was the side of the turnpike, we were limited in resources and stranded, missing the funeral service due to the length of time it took to get the vehicle loaded on a tow truck. Since the vehicle was unable to release the parking brake, the tow driver(s) were struggling to tow it. My husband, ended up having to go under the vehicle (on the side of the turnpike) to disengage the parking brake to help the tow drivers. This could have been a catastrophic situation. My vehicle was taken to a different GMC dealer than the original one that did the recall check. There are no rental vehicles available, so I am too out of a vehicle necessary for my work and family, with no time frame on the repair of my engine that only has 31,000 miles on it. Read more

Component / System Failure The exhaust system, specifically the exhaust manifolds and previously the EGR system components, appear to have failed or malfunctioned, allowing exhaust gases to enter the passenger cabin. The dealer initially replaced the EGR cooler diverter on December 23, 2025. However, the condition persisted. On February 3, 2026, cracked exhaust manifolds were identified by the d
... ealership, and a major front-end teardown was advised to complete the repair. The vehicle is currently available for inspection upon request. ⸻ How Safety Was Put at Risk The malfunction allowed exhaust gases, including carbon monoxide, to enter the passenger cabin during vehicle operation. Carbon monoxide readings inside the cabin reached up to 50 parts per million (ppm) while driving. Carbon monoxide is a toxic gas that can cause: •Headaches •Dizziness •Impaired concentration •Nausea •Vision disturbances Because carbon monoxide is odorless and colorless, this presents a significant safety risk, particularly at highway speeds where driver alertness is critical. The exposure occurred while operating the vehicle in normal driving conditions. This created a potential risk of driver impairment and increased risk of collision. ⸻ Has the Problem Been Reproduced or Confirmed? Yes. The vehicle was presented to the dealership three times for the same exhaust intrusion concern: •December 16, 2025 •December 29, 2025 •February 3, 2026 During the February 3 visit, the dealership confirmed cracked exhaust manifolds requiring major disassembly for repair. The carbon monoxide readings were observed during vehicle operation. The exhaust odor and intrusion symptoms were consistently present following the first attempted repair. ⸻ Has the Vehicle Been Inspected by Manufacturer or Others? The ERAD (Electric Rear Axle Drive) transmission on my 2021 XC90 T8 Recharge has suffered an internal failure at approximately 112,550 miles. The vehicle makes loud grinding and slamming noises from the rear drivetrain and locks up when attempting to drive, making the vehicle completely undrivable. The dealership (Volvo Cars Gilbert, AZ) diagnosed the ERAD clutch as slamming and suspects internal
... gears are missing teeth. A software update was attempted but did not resolve the mechanical failure. The ERAD transmission needs full replacement at a quoted cost of $5,211.56 (part number 32324105-9). This is a known failure point on the T8 platform and Volvo has redesigned this component (ERAD2) for newer models due to reliability issues with the original design. This failure presents a safety concern as the rear drivetrain can lock up unexpectedly during driving. This ERAD failure occurred alongside two other hybrid system component failures within a 3 month period: the High Voltage Coolant Heater (HVCH) and the vehicle batteries (VCM and main), suggesting a systemic hybrid system reliability problem.Read more

The vehicle has experienced repeated incidents of sudden reduced engine power and loss of acceleration while driving. On multiple occasions, while traveling at highway speeds, the vehicle failed to respond normally to throttle input and would not accelerate as commanded and loss of power steering making it difficult to turn the steering wheel and apply brakes. One incident resulted in throwing my

This creates a hazardous driving situation, particularly when merging into traffic or attempting to maintain speed with surrounding vehicles, increasing the risk of collision. The malfunction appears related to the engine, electrical system, and powertrain. During at least one dealership visit, the reduced power condition was recreated and confirmed by service personnel. However, despite multiple warranty repair attempts, the issue continues to reoccur intermittently. Warning messages have appeared at times, including reduced engine power notifications and check engine indicators, though the condition has also occurred without advance warning. The intermittent nature of the defect makes it unpredictable and unsafe. The vehicle has been out of service for more than 30 cumulative days for warranty-related defect repairs related to this and other electrical issues. Multiple repair attempts have not permanently corrected the condition. The vehicle remains available for inspection upon request. Due to the unpredictable loss of acceleration and prior safety incidents, there are ongoing concerns regarding safe operation of the vehicle.Read more

They told me to bring to another dealer which the vehicle is currently at and has been for a month. They claim that it is normal for this transmission and refuse to fix it. I have video evidence of the truck being put into reverse and the RPM rising before it slams into reverse. I also demonstrated first thing one morning to a technician after a cold soak overnight and he agreed that the vehicle has a delayed engagement in reverse and when it did finally engage it did so violently. The dealer told me to record it and that would be the best evidence and I did along with presenting it to them. ****This complaint is an addendum to ODI Complaint #11715415 **** This report updates the prior complaint to reflect complete engine seizure and pending engine replacement following post-repair loss of propulsion. ... Recall Query RQ26001. My 2024 GMC Yukon XL Denali experienced progressive internal engine failure beginning at approximately 61, 975 miles. First attempt: The vehicle required camshaft and lifter replacement due to internal mechanical damage. Immediately after 4.5 week repair, the vehicle suffered sudden loss of motive power at highway speed. The engine shut down without warning at 75 mph with children in the car. (Car was in owners possession for no more than 15 hours, and was driven 25 miles on the highway when it switched to neutral and shut down). Second attempt: The vehicle was towed back to the dealership. Additional electrical repairs were then attempted. (Fuse box) It shut down again during dealer testing. Third attempt: Subsequent internal inspection revealed cylinders 5 and 6 seized, requiring full engine replacement. This represents: • Repeated loss of motive power • Escalation from top-end failure to catastrophic lower-end seizure • Failure occurring immediately after dealer-performed repair(s) • A 2024 model-year vehicle with relatively low mileage Given NHTSA’s ongoing investigations into post-remedy failures (RQ26001) and out-of-scope bearing failures (EA25007), I request that this incident be evaluated as part of the broader defect pattern analysis.Read more
