We get a power reduced code and the truck shuts down while driving. We have to pull over and put it in park and restart it. When we are on the freeway we can’t get over we put it in neutral and turn off the truck and restart it. It is very scary and dangerous! This has been happening since June of 2025.

I am filing this complaint regarding the handling of Safety Recall 25LA07 (NHTSA Recall ID 25V767) affecting my 2023 Lexus LX600. On January 2, 2026, I delivered the vehicle to the authorized Lexus dealer in Ponce, Puerto Rico, in response to the recall, which identifies potential engine knocking, rough running, engine no-start, and/or loss of motive power. These conditions represent serious safe
... ty risks. Since that date, the vehicle has remained at the dealership. More than five weeks have passed, and neither the dealer nor Lexus has provided a definitive remedy, technical instructions, or a timeframe for repair. We have been told they “do not yet know” whether the solution will involve reprogramming or full engine replacement. In short, there is no clear plan or expected completion date. Because the manufacturer has acknowledged a potential engine malfunction and the increased risk of crash, my wife does not feel safe operating the vehicle. The general manager told us to keep driving the vehicle until there is any signs of malfunction of the engine, however after consulting legal counsel, we were advised not to retrieve the vehicle until the defect is fully corrected and certified as safe. Although Lexus provided a Mitsubishi rental vehicle, it is materially inferior to the LX600. Meanwhile, I continue making substantial monthly payments to Toyota Financial Services for a vehicle that has been unusable since January 2, 2026. The manufacturer is covering the rental cost (approximately half of my monthly payment), but I remain financially responsible for a luxury vehicle that cannot be used and for which no repair timeline exists. I respectfully request that NHTSA review whether the manufacturer is meeting its obligation to provide a timely and effective remedy for this safety recall. I am prepared to provide supporting documentation upon request.Read more

On Wednesday, January 7th, 2026, my wife and I were traveling North on the Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike (476) at approximately 9:00 pm. A check engine light came on with no other symptoms, we start to get off the next exit. While still on the highway, the motor turns off with a warning to put it in neutral and restart. It would not restart and coasted off the exit and into a co
... nvenience store parking lot. There was noise, just turned off. We got stuck in the town for over 2 days before getting a tow 209 miles to the mechanic shop. We were miles from any mechanic shop and tried to troubleshoot while waiting and to no avail. First mechanic had to send it to a second because it looked like the engine had seized and that was confirmed at the second mechanic shop. Apparently the bearings in the lower end seized. The only thing they could offer was to replace the motor. It had proper amounts of fluids and didn't overheat. The motor replacement is approximately $10,800.00 in addition to having no vehicle there was additional towing and breakdown expenses (food and lodging for 2 nights and 3 days)Read more

The brakes suddenly activate and cause the vehicle to rapidly stop with no warning of any kind and without any braking action being taken by the driver. Then, the brakes do not release and the vehicle cannot be moved as the brakes remain on. Turning the engine off and then restarting it or shifting to other gears does not release the brakes. The vehicle remains immobile and cannot be driven. Af
... ter a few hours have passed, like overnight, the brakes release and the vehicle can started and driven just as if nothing had happened. A message briefly appears on the vehicle information screen each time this inadvertent braking occurs. It reads, “Brake Failure System”. These brake lockdowns occurred when driving on streets and in the driveway. No accident resulted but could have easily occurred. This is dangerous for a driver and occupants of a vehicle with this safety flaw as well as for other people and vehicles in the vicinity. This has happened five times. The last two instances resulted in the vehicle being loaded onto a tow truck and taken to a dealer of the vehicle’s manufacture. Thus far the dealership has not found what may be causing this intermittent braking problem.Read more

I purchased a 2024 KTM 390 Adventure on June 21, 2025 and within 1/4 mile of driving it away from the dealership my throttle completely cut out as I was merging into traffic. They said they hadn’t heard of anything like that before and had their mechanic inspect it. They confirmed the bike had a short in the e-throttle and gave me another new 2024 KTM 390 Adventure. I received a recall in September 2025 about the known issue of the throttle cutting out and that my current bike is one of the affected VINs. I am writing this complaint because KTM has not come up with a remedy in a timely manner. I don’t feel safe or confident riding my bike knowing I could be injured or killed if the throttle cuts out on me at the wrong time.Read more

I am reporting a potential safety defect involving the panoramic sunroof of my 2026 Kia Sportage, purchased new in August 2025. On February 19, 2026, at approximately 4:45 PM, while driving around 65 mph, the panoramic sunroof suddenly shattered without warning. The failure was preceded by a loud, explosive sound, after which the tempered glass fractured and collapsed inward into the passenger co
... mpartment above the driver’s seat. There was no observable external impact. I did not see any debris or object strike the vehicle, and the glass had no prior damage. Weather conditions were mild (approximately 75°F), and the vehicle was operating under normal highway conditions. Glass fragments fell into the cabin, including onto the driver’s seat and interior surfaces. The sudden noise and glass intrusion created a safety hazard, including risk of injury and driver distraction while traveling at highway speed. The vehicle was taken to a Kia dealership the same day. I was later informed by the dealership in San Angelo, Texas, that the damage would not be covered under warranty and that I would be responsible for the repair. Given the lack of observable impact and the inward failure of the glass, I am submitting this report for evaluation as a potential safety-related defect. The incident raises concerns due to the sudden failure at highway speed, inward breakage into the occupant compartment, and occurrence in a vehicle less than one year old. I can provide photos or documentation upon request. Submitted by: [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)Read more

While driving on the freeway in the rain (on 2/19/2026), my vehicle started braking of its own accord. Emergency brake lights flashed on the dash board and the vehicle came to a full stop while traffic was moving on the freeway. [There had been previous incidents of warning "Brake" lights flashing without cause, never a sudden stop; spontaneous]. During my <15 mile commute, the vehicle did this x
... 5 times. After the 4th incident, a new pop up warning appeared: "Collision Mitigation braking system problem. See your dealer. " I took a photo of this warning light and drove to the closest dealership. The unwarranted braking problem happened again while on the freeway. When I arrived at the dealership, at first they said "there's no problem. " I showed them the photo, they reluctantly checked in my vehicle for diagnostics and informed me that I would have to pay for the diagnostician. The safety of myself and other California drivers was put at risk by this malfunctioning braking system. I was unable to over ride a warning, the vehicle braked unexpectedly in the middle of the freeway. Mossy Honda dealership did not offer me a loaner vehicle nor a ride home. When I asked, I was told that they might be able to rent a vehicle to me if someone was still around to do so. Cost =$50/ day. I lost a day of work to deal with this issue. I had to call the dealership for an update. The vehicle was inspected by a certified Honda technician at Mossy Honda of Lemon Grove. The technician informed me that Honda's policy is to realign the system. The honda technician asked if the vehicle was recently hauling a heavy load that could have ruined the alignment. I have not. It seems the dealership wants to blame me for this safety issue. If there are follow up issues, I am advised to return to the dealership for assistance. The dealership did not offer a ride, nor apologies. They have not provided an updated Cost estimate for this alignment or any needed follow up repairs.Read more

After 8 months of driving my car brand new I started experiencing multiple intermittent malfunctions in the dash board & infotainment system. I have documentation of DTC codes current in my ECU. These codes each dealership refused to find and instead replaced my car battery, wiping the codes & replacing my infotainment system after it completely failed. After repeated repair attempts each dealersh
... ip failed to successfully repair under warranty & told me to drive the car as normal when these malfunctions continued. These electrical malfunctions were at one point affecting my alternator which I also have documentation of. The car has lost power yet the engine stays running while I am driving. My handsfree is intermittent everyday. I am now way past my warranty & extended warranty due to following dealerships advice to drive the car as normal and bring back. These ongoing malfunctions create unreasonable safety risk which I believe falls under 49 U.S.C. Chapter 301 — the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act. A third party diagnostics shop told me my car would have to be taken apart to find the grounding issues as this is clearly a manufacturing defect. These repairs have cost me money and I refuse to keep paying these dealerships if they aren't willing to resolve the core problem. I get constant push back from each dealership. I've already engaged with Nissan consumer affairs, a Lemon Law attorney, and filed with my State AG, AG recommended while undergoing an IDR that I file a complaint here as well. Please help.Read more

Vehicle: GMC Yukon Denali Model Year: (insert) Engine: 6.2L L87 Mileage at Failure: 44,000 Failure Date: February 18, 2026 Recall: GM 6.2L Engine Failure Recall (crankshaft/bearing defect leading to propulsion loss) Complaint Summary: Complete engine failure and total loss of propulsion on a high-speed highway on-ramp with my family inside, causing extreme danger and emotional trauma. Full Desc
... ription: On February 18, 2026, my GMC Yukon Denali experienced a sudden and complete loss of propulsion while we were on the on-ramp to a high-speed, heavy-traffic expressway. The engine failed without warning as traffic was accelerating rapidly around us. My husband, my [XXX] son, and I were all in the vehicle on our way to celebrate my son’s birthday. Instead, the vehicle died in one of the most dangerous locations possible — the merge zone of a busy highway — leaving us stranded with cars coming at full speed. Traffic immediately began backing up for a long stretch behind us. Drivers were honking, yelling, and aggressively swerving because the lane was blocked by our stalled vehicle. The situation felt chaotic and frightening. I genuinely believed we were at risk of being rear-ended at highway speed. We felt helpless waiting for police to arrive to protect us. The emotional distress, panic, and fear for my family’s safety were overwhelming. My son was shaking and visibly upset on what was supposed to be his birthday celebration. None of us felt safe until law enforcement was able to block traffic. After the incident, the dealership confirmed that the failure was caused by the GM L87 engine defect currently under recall and stated that the engine needed to be completely replaced. This sudden stall created a severe safety hazard that could have easily resulted in a catastrophic crash, injury, or worse. It has had a lasting emotional impact on me and my family. I am writing to formally submit a safety complaint regarding my 2018 Porsche Macan. I have experienced a significant issue with the vehicle’s headlights, which I believe poses a serious safety risk. Description of the Issue: The headlights on my 2018 Porsche Macan have failed without any prior warning or indication. There were no dashboard alerts or error messages to notify me of a problem. The
... failure occurred suddenly while driving at night, resulting in a complete loss of forward illumination. This created a hazardous situation, as I was unable to see the road ahead and other drivers were unable to see my vehicle clearly. Safety Concerns: The headlight failure happened unexpectedly and without any warning. This issue significantly increases the risk of a crash, especially when driving at night or in low-visibility conditions. Upon inspection, I was told the entire headlight assembly would need to be replaced, which is costly and concerning for a relatively new vehicle. Request for Investigation: I am aware that other owners of the 2018 Porsche Macan have reported similar headlight failures. I urge NHTSA to investigate this matter, as it appears to be a widespread and potentially dangerous defect. Reliable headlight operation is essential for safe driving, and sudden failure without warning is unacceptable. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Please let me know if you require any additional information or documentation.Read more

The hybrid propulsion system in my Toyota Camry Hybrid malfunctioned. The vehicle displayed multiple warning messages, including “Hybrid System Malfunction” and other system failure alerts. The accelerator pedal stopped responding, and the vehicle lost propulsion while driving at highway speed. The vehicle would not restart after coming to a stop. The vehicle has been towed and is available f
... or inspection upon request. The vehicle lost power while I was traveling at highway speed during severe weather conditions (tornado and thunderstorm warnings). The car began rattling and shaking, then the accelerator stopped responding, and the vehicle gradually decelerated despite pressing the gas pedal. I was forced to activate hazard lights and maneuver to the shoulder. Multiple large trucks were traveling at high speed and did not immediately move over, coming dangerously close to striking my disabled vehicle. Because of the severe weather and approaching storm conditions, I was stranded on the highway in a vulnerable position. The sudden loss of propulsion created a significant risk of a high-speed rear-end collision. The vehicle was towed after the incident. It has not yet been confirmed whether the dealer has reproduced the failure. The malfunction occurred suddenly while driving and has not been intentionally reproduced by me. The vehicle would not restart at the time of the incident. The vehicle was towed following the incident. It has not yet been inspected by police or insurance representatives. Inspection by a Toyota dealer/manufacturer representative is pending (or currently in progress, if applicable). Approx. 15 minutes before reaching my destination, the vehicle began rattling and shaking unexpectedly while driving at highway speed. Shortly after, the rattling stopped, but the accelerator pedal stopped responding and the vehicle began decelerating. Multiple warning messages then appeared, including “Hybrid System Malfunction” and other system failure.Read more

The vehicle is subject to Safety Recall N252494001 (NHTSA Campaign 25V-274) due to manufacturing defects in the engine crankshaft and connecting rod bearings. • Component/System Failed: The 6.2L V8 (L87) engine crankshaft and connecting rod assembly. The engine is available for inspection upon request. • Safety Risk: The defect can cause catastrophic engine damage and sudden loss of propulsi
... on while driving, significantly increasing the risk of a crash. • Dealer/Manufacturer Confirmation: The problem was confirmed via the issuance of Safety Recall N252494001. A dealership inspection was performed previously as part of the recall. • Warning Signs/Symptoms: Common symptoms include engine knocking, check engine lights, and hesitation before sudden failure. The Issue with the Remedy: Federal law (49 U.S.C. § 30120) requires manufacturers to remedy safety defects "without charge". As a permanent safety remedy for this defect, GM has mandated a switch from 0W-20 to 0W-40 (dexosR) oil for the life of the engine to prevent bearing failure. However, the dealership and manufacturer are refusing to provide this mandated safety spec change without an ongoing $85 surcharge per oil change. While they performed the initial "inspection" oil change for free, they are now using the recall-mandated spec change to create a financial burden on the consumer. Because 0W-40 is now the mandatory factory requirement to prevent the safety defect, charging a premium for it constitutes a failure to provide the recall remedy "without charge." General Motors refuses to offset this cost, effectively penalizing the owner for a manufacturer safety defect. The dealership is also failing to honor my Platinum Wrap warranty and GM Prepaid service contract to perform the continued oil changes without additional charges.Read more

It is currently on a national backorder for the last 18+ months without an estimated arrival date. The failure first appeared in June of 2024 and the part has been on backorder since then.Read more

In the process of taking my daughter to the emergency room I receive a dash notification on my recently purchased 2024 GMC Acadia "car overheating, possible engine failure". My gauges were within normal range and being that I was in an emergency I kept traveling. Leave hospital to head home the error message is gone. The following Monday, January 5th, heading in to work I receive the same error
... message on my dash "car overheating, possible engine failure". Drove to the nearest mechanic, left my car, and they discover a leak in the upper radiator hose. They call with bad news that the part is on nationwide back order. GM admitted to a faulty design, in the process of redesign. A SPAC case with a local GM dealership was opened. GM would expedite my case if I towed to a GM dealer. I would have to pay for the tow. And just how can my case be expedited if the part isn't available? It can't. I was told the redesigned hose is going on the new models currently being built. I have lost all faith in GM. Today is February 19th and my car is still at the mechanic with no ETA on part delivery. I called every GM dealership parts department within 100 miles and get the same response, "we have two hoses with four cars needing it, we have 4 hoses with 8 cars needing it, the hose is hell to find, etc.". Why has GM not issued a recall on the upper radiator hose. If you have a 2024 GMC Acadia, you will incur this same issue.Read more

This should be a covered repair on Kia's behalf especially when it seems it is happening most often after factory warranty or 60,000 miles for most who are reporting it. Sounds like a scam to get another 5,000 dollars out of their customers. Won't be buying a Kia again.Read more
