Engine shut off on the interstate with no warning. Would not re-start. Forced to cross lanes on traffic with no engine power or power steering. Dealer stated it was the "Fuel Pump Control Module." Stated it was a common issue with parts most likely in stock, but it would be at least 6 weeks before they could even look at the vehicle.

after i had the car inspected per thier recall on potential engines issues, the car passed and was told no issues. 6 months later driving on highway with family during rush hour and suffered complete engine failure going 70 mph. My 2023 GMC Sierra Denali experienced a catastrophic engine failure even after receiving the official recall repair. The recall remedy did not prevent engine failure. This raises serious concerns about the effectiveness of the recall fix, especially given reports that NHTSA is evaluating this recall’s efficacy. I was stranded on a hill and this was a very dangerous situation.
