Braking Issue and ADAS Warning + Lack of Access Concerns I am writing to express my deep concerns regarding the ongoing issues that are being seen with the NHTSA recall campaign numbers 24V865000 and 24V623000. Specifically, the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) in my vehicle, which has become increasingly distracting and, frankly, dangerous due to an incomplete or failed 2.2 Over-The-Air (
... OTA) update is a huge concern. As a responsible driver, I value the safety of not only myself but also those around me, and this situation and others we constantly hear about make me question the process of the recall. Every week, a number of vehicles are reported as undrivable post-OTA updates, with statistics indicating that approximately 2%-5% of owners experience this issue. With 48-hour update windows, my vehicle becomes unusable for an extended period, which is highly inconvenient and concerning. Moreover, I've noted that partial updates are expected, potentially extending this downtime by another 48 hours. I have had a partial update that has left my vehicle in worse shape than before, what could happen if the process is tried again? This inconsistent performance is not only frustrating, but also poses a serious inconvenience to scheduling and executing such a process. Owner surveys suggest that comprehensive updates, which should resolve these issues, have been successfully completed in under 30% of vehicles which were attempted. Additionally, the alarming figures shared indicate that only around 10% of the fleet has been updated in over five weeks, despite submitting over 800 Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs). This inefficiency raises serious questions about the reliability of the process. Furthermore, the fact that there are only approximately 20 service personnel available nationwide, with a mere five traveling to assist customers whose cars are rendered undrivable, is simply unacceptable. This lack of support exacerbates an already troubling situationRead more

I request that compliance to Fisker Recalls be enforced due failure of Fisker (Bankrupt) , and its OTA team and trustee to pay for water pump recall service and to complete other required other recalls. I have paid out of pocket a service tech $200 for the water pump recall, , $175 plus $25 for mobile/travel fee. The trustees have not been responsive on how to get service or on reimbursements
... . The OTA team responsible for Software recall work has also been non-responsive. I have received a partial OTA update that does not include any of the components required by the recall work . Also after the bankruptcy , near my home in Arizona, Fisker FAST tools were being used to perform software recall work on cars being transferred to American lease. Fisker employees at the tempe site were unresponsive to have my vehicle updated. And then the Fisker FAST tools for updating software were not left in the Arizona and Nevada area. A Fisker Fast tool should be provided to a regional service tech without cost instead of the rumored $16000 fee being asked by American lease. I recommend the tool be provided free of charge to Chris Peralta, A Fisker trained tech who is authorized by the Fisker Owners Association and who has been performing service work for many vehicle owners in the Arizona and Nevada Areas.Read more

I am writing to express my deep concerns regarding the ongoing issues that are being seen with the NHTSA recall campaign numbers 24V865000 and 24V623000. The frequency of reports from fellow owners about their vehicles becoming undrivable after updates—between 2% and 5%—is alarming and prevents me from attempting the recall process again. Knowing that the update process can leave a car unusable for up to 48 hours, and that partial updates might require even more time, adds to my frustration. The statistics shared indicate that only a mere 10% of the fleet has successfully received updates after weeks of attempts, which further highlights the inadequacy of the OTA process. Additionally, I am troubled by the limited availability of service personnel across the country. With only around 20 technicians available nationwide and just a handful traveling to address urgent issues, it is clear that many customers, including myself, may find ourselves in perilous situations without timely support. I cannot afford to wait months for a resolution while I am forced to pay out of pocket for alternative solutions to ensure my vehicle is safe to drive. This situation is unacceptable, and I urge you to take immediate action to address these critical issues. I look forward to a prompt response.Read more

Inability to Schedule Recall Work + Lack of Availability I am writing to express my deep concerns regarding the ongoing issues that are being seen with the NHTSA recall campaign numbers 24V865000 and 24V623000. Multiple attempts of this safety recall have been scheduled over the past several weeks for my vehicle, but the update has yet to be completed. As an owner who values safety and reliability
... , I am increasingly concerned about the unresolved safety issues that were supposed to be addressed with this software update. To date, I have been disappointed to learn that each week brings reports from fellow vehicle owners indicating that their cars have become undrivable following these updates, with a concerning failure rate of approximately 2% to 5%. This is unacceptable for any customer who relies on their vehicle for daily transportation. Additionally, the lengthy 48-hour windows during which our cars become unusable only exacerbate the frustration and inconvenience faced by owners. The expectation of partial updates, followed by yet another potential 48-hour downtime, is not a practical solution. Furthermore, the feedback from owner surveys suggests that complete updates, which should ideally resolve these issues, have only succeeded in under 30% of attempted vehicles. This raises serious questions about the efficacy of the OTA update process and its implementation. I was also alarmed to learn that after five weeks of attempts, only about 10% of the fleet—approximately 300 vehicles—have been successfully updated, despite over 800 VINs submitted for these updates.Read more

The stop/start feature will randomly not restart after a stop at a stop sign in traffic. The defect is totally random so it cannot be replicated by the dealer. I have struggled with this problem for years and have not had a crisis because I usually shut off the stop start feature to avoid this system failure. There are no warning lights or symptoms that indicate a failure is eminent. On February
... 9, 2025 as my wife and I were driving home from the airport at 2:30 AM on a below zero temperature day in the middle of desolate countryside, my Pilot would not restart after I stopped at a stop sign. I had forgotten to turn off the stop start feature. There was no other traffic on the road to help and no houses or other warm places to find refuge so I hoped that I could figure out who I could call to rescue us before we froze to death. I allowed the Pilot to set for a while and after the fourth try, the vehicle again started. I took the Pilot to the local Honda dealer and they indicated that although the battery passed a regular battery check, when an extreme battery load was placed on the battery it failed the battery test. I asked about the stop start issues reported to the NHTSA but they would only talk about my need for a new battery. I think Honda dealers are attempting to deflect this design issue by blaming the issue on the batteries and are selling batteries instead of fixing this issue. I tried to explain that this is a chronic issue that was present when my battery was new but they deflected that argument and continued to press the sale of a new battery.Read more

My husband and I own a 2010 Mini Cooper Clubman, which we bought from a used car dealer in September 2022. The control module failed this summer, resulting in the high beams not functioning. The control module was installed by East End Garage in Jefferson in mid-August. This Garage is close to our home and has competent mechanics who are able to work on Mini Coopers without difficulty. Shortly after the work was ·completed, the mechanic at East End Garage told us that a recall had been issued for Footwell Control Modules (FRM) in 2007-2014 Mini Clubman models, and he gave us a State of New York Supplementary Information sheet regarding the recall. We also received an Important Safety Recall sheet from MINI in November, which is included in the packet of documents we are sending you. It stated that the FRM could become corroded, "potentially resulting in a short circuit, resulting in a potential thermal event which could increase the risk of fire or injury". The mechanic told us our control module failed because of corrosion. due to where the control module is placed in the car, which he felt was a design flaw. When we became aware of the recall, we contacted the closest MINI car dealer, Keeler Motors in Latham, NY, to seek reimbursement for the control module replacement. This began a long series of being sent to different places to seek reimbursement (the dealer would not help us).
