My brother in law was driving my 2018 Range Rover (with only 47,000 miles) on the busy highway. Without any warning, the car lost power. He was able to swerve into breakdown lane (thankful he was in right lane). The car was smoking so badly he thought the car was going to explode into fire so he and his wife evacuated the car and sat a safe distance away. Car was towed to the Range Rover Deal

We just joined a class action lawsuit over this issue alleging Range Rover has known about this dangerous situation in many of their cars for many years but they continue to market and sell the cars as "safe vehicles" without recalling the defective parts.Read more

1215 miles . The adaptive cruise control system was acting sketchy. It failed to maintain proper distance and speed between the vehicle in front. We took it into the dealer who said that the sensor had failed on this brand new vehicle and they replaced it on 2/12/2025. After driving the vehicle when we got it back. There does not seem to be much different. The van tends to accelerate extremely q

Sometimes the warning comes up that says break break . Even with the system said it maximum a car cutting in the system is extremely slow to react. This has led to numerous close calls of rear end collision. We took it back to the dealer on 2/24/2025 1802 miles, who said they couldn't find anything wrong.Read more

How sad it is that in a recall of a deficient product, that the manufacturer gets to not fix the vehicle if it has more miles on it than they like (see attached, my vehicle is a 2017 with 60K). The issue involves the purchase of a 2024 Ford Expedition Max, VIN [XXX] , which purchased on [XXX] from Legacy Ford in Corbin, KY. Since purchasing this vehicle, I have encountered the following persistent issues that substantially impair the use, value, or safety of the vehicle: The vehicle was sold to me seemingly infested with rodents, which ate away much of the internal wiring of the e
... ngine compartment. The wiring is manufactured with soy-based sheathing, which is a well-known defect and further known to attract rodents/vermin and as I only possessed the vehicle in question for 3 weeks and 5 days (when first sensor light came on and only drove it 1383 miles (7 weeks total). I have been forced to make an insurance claim for this damage, which I feel was resultant of a manufacturing defect, but due to the inexcusable part delay in obtaining replacement wiring, the rental on my policy ran out. I have requested on several occasions, a VIN swap for a different vehicle and was told that this was not something the dealership could do. Despite these defects not being addressed at the Legacy Ford in Corbin, KY. I believe the wiring damage is too extensive to be adequately and safely repaired and I have been without my vehicle, while still making payments and paying out of pocket for transportation for 3 months now. Alton Blakely Ford of Corbin still has not repaired this clearly defective vehicle and the defects continue to exist. As of this letter, the vehicle's odometer reads 1,396 and I have only had the vehicle available to me for my usage for 3 weeks and 5 days. The vehicle is still in the shop and the only response I receive from them is that they are waiting on the part and they have no ide when it may be available. I have written to Ford Motor company and after many e-mail exchanges, the matter was closed by them with no resolution. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your response. @ 96,970 miles, (2021 Honda Accord Hybrid) when getting on the freeway and accelerating to catch up with traffic, the car began sputtering, the check engine light flashed, the accelerator stopped working and I had to get it to the shoulder of the freeway immediately. I've tried warming the car up longer and using more expensive gas. Issue continues to happen. I called an made an appointment at the dealer for first available date. In March of 2022 the vehicle displayed a warning to service the side detection system. on March 31st 2022 the dealership diagnosed that the Side Blind Zone Alert Module failed due to water intrusion. The replacement of the modular was completed free of charge under "Campaign - N172097060 Special Coverage Adjustment". In December of 2024 the same warning to service the side detection system was
... activated again, several weeks later the warning lights on the side view mirrors lite up and remained on. Upon bringing the vehicle on February 13th 2025 for service, in it was determined to be caused by the same failed part as the first occurrence. This time the repair was not covered by the dealer, and was 1099.22. GMC has not solved the underlining problem with these parts. The side detection system is critical when driving a larger SUV for blind zone awareness to avoid collisions while driving in multi lane traffic. When the system failed, the lights on the side view mirrors made driving difficult due to the distraction and glare. Although this problem is known by the manufacture it has provided a permanent solution, as they continue to use the flawed original parts. Due to the sensor being electrical, there was no symptoms prior to failure; the warning appears and continued at each start up. The cost of repairing safety features on an ageing vehicle becomes a burden, especially when those features can only be repaired by a dealership at high prices. This keeps many people from maintaining or fixing their cars, putting others at risk. I have the modular from the most recent repair, and will include a photo if possible.Read more

On the highway, the engine suddenly stopped working. Everything turned black. While driving, the screen turned back on but the motor did not start again. I pressed the breaks and the start button to turn the engine back on, while still driving on the highway. It turned back on but then stopped again before I had time to pull to the side of the road. I did the same again and got to bring the car to
... the side of the highway. It started and stopped several times. I got it to run again so I exited the highway. It turned off again once I was off the highway. I got to drive it slowly to the dealer. He said it had never happened (which is untrue, I found out it is a recurring problem on the GM 6.2 liter). I had brought the car for service to the same dealership about a week prior to the incident. At that time, I told the dealer that the motor was making subtle weird noises. They serviced the car and gave it back to me stating that everything was ok and that nothing showed on their computer. When I picked up the car after the shutting off incident, I was told that their system showed prior issues but that nothing needed to be done since it was not detecting any problem at the time of pick up. About a week after I picked up my truck (after the shutting off issue was supposed to have been taken care of), I returned because I was still noticing the noise. While on a test drive with a GM mechanic, the motor suddenly started making very loud clicking and squeaking noises. He told me to stop right away. The manager at the dealership told me I would get a new motor because there was a recuring issue with the GM 6.2l. After a week, he said only some parts would be changed and that GM would not replace the whole motor. I told him I did not feel safe driving the truck and he said GM decides what to replace not me. I read online that the motor and all oil filters, ducts etc need to be replaced to avoid debris and future problems. No warning light ever went on. Terrifying experience.Read more

He had me call the KIA Customer Care # however, they basically told me the deadline for class action suit expired and I had no remedy with them. My car was not acting up at the end of said deadline so, why would I have filed a claim?! I seen this info on recall #SC336 as to oil consumption & no compression in '20-'23 Souls and Seltos. I have also seen several mechanics forums speaking about my year of Sportage with compression issues. I am a poor lady on disability and still owe $11,000 on this car w no extended warranty coverage. The tow truck driver was nearly hit trying to load the truck, several accidents were narrowly avoided by people trying to move over. Truck taken to Auto Gallery Chevrolet in Commerce GA, after three weeks they confirmed the engine had to be replaced and it would be done under warranty. I have not been told the exact nature of the failure, but they did confirm the engine could not be rotated. The power steering stops working intermittently while driving. Today we were going about 40mph and the steering wheel locked up for about 2 minutes. We were driving straight forward . When we came to the stop light we turned the engine off and restarted the engine. We could have a major accident. It has been doing this for about 3 weeks. We are not going to drive it until it fixed.

submitting a formal complaint to NHTSA regarding unresolved safety defects in my 2013 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid. Despite Safety Recall 251 issued in December 2023 for an ABS fire hazard, my vehicle continues to experience sudden loss of acceleration, engine shutdowns, and persistent dashboard warnings. Failed Recall Repairs & Lack of Transparency Since receiving the recall notice, my vehicle has bee
... n serviced multiple times at Thompson Hyundai in Dundalk, MD, yet the defects persist. When I requested service records to verify recall repairs, I was told that Thompson Hyundai’s acquisition by Heritage prevents them from providing full documentation—only three edited records missing key details. This raises concerns about: 1.Whether recall repairs are actually resolving safety defects. 2.Hyundai’s failure to maintain proper repair documentation. 3.The risk that other Hyundai vehicles remain unsafe due to incomplete recall fixes. Life-Threatening Breakdowns & Financial Hardship Since Hyundai’s supposed “fix,” my vehicle has broken down at least eight times, including major highways and intersections. On [XXX], on [XXX], my car suddenly lost power in heavy traffic, nearly causing a multi-vehicle accident. As a result: •I lost my job due to missed work from repeated breakdowns. •I suffered severe emotional distress, including PTSD-like symptoms and asthma attacks requiring medical attention. •I am facing financial instability from lost income and costly rental vehicles. Request for NHTSA Investigation Given Hyundai’s failure to resolve these defects, I urge NHTSA to: 1.Investigate whether Hyundai’s recall repairs fully resolve the defect. 2.Review dealerships’ recall documentation practices. 3.Determine if further regulatory action is needed to protect consumers. I am pursuing direct resolution with Hyundai but am bringing this to NHTSA in the interest of public safety. I appreciate your review and look forward to your response. The electric power steering (EPS) system on my 2014 Ram 1500 has intermittently failed, most recently when transitioning from idle, such as leaving a parking lot, and during deep turns. This marks the third time I've experienced steering-related issues with this truck. Each time the EPS fails, a "Service Power Steering" alert appears, and the steering becomes extremely difficult, posing a serious
... safety risk, especially in situations requiring precise maneuvering or sudden corrections. A sudden loss of steering control could lead to a collision, potentially resulting in serious injury or death. This issue has been previously repaired twice—once by the original dealer and once under warranty after I purchased the truck, without prior knowledge of the problem. Despite these repairs, the failure has returned, indicating an unresolved or recurring defect. The issue has not yet been diagnosed or confirmed by a dealer or independent mechanic for this latest occurrence. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request.Read more
