Dear Sirs: I own a 2020 GLC300W Mercedes SUV. As of this date, It has stalled 5 times while driving on the highway and on the roads within an 8 month period. Throughout this period, I have taken the vehicle to the Mercedes dealership in Riverside, CA three times to have this inspected. After their first inspection, the dealership claimed that the problem was due to a recall on a computer software
... update needed. However, the vehicle stalled two more times while driving on the highway. After the second inspection, the dealership claimed the problem was due to a bad throttle actuator and charged me $2000 for the repair. Two months later, the vehicle stalled on the road once again. Currently, the dealership is inspecting the vehicle for a THIRD time. I have viewed your NHTS website and came across NHTSA campaign number: 23V445, Problem Description: Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC (MBUSA) is recalling certain 2021-2023 C-Class, E-Class, S-Class, CLS, SL, GT, GLC, GLE, GLS, and G-Class vehicles. Please refer to MBUSA's recall report for specific vehicle details. The fuel pump may shutdown, which can result in a loss of drive power." I believe this is the cause of my 2020 Mercedes doing the exact same thing, however the 2020 model is not listed in this recall. Please investigate this as this may be fuel pump issue applies to 2020 models.Read more

Dear NHTSA, I am submitting this complaint regarding a serious safety issue with my [Your BMW Model & Year]. My vehicle was recalled due to an issue with the engine coolant pump, which could lead to a short circuit and, in rare cases, a fire. •The recall was issued over a month ago, but BMW has not provided a solution or a repair date. •On March 26th, 2025, I visited an authorized BMW service
... center for an oil change and to address the recall, but they informed me that the necessary parts were not available and gave no timeline for the repair. •For the past three weeks, white smoke has been coming from the hood, and there is a noticeable burning smell. •I have a video documenting this issue. •My vehicle is in active use, and the problem is getting worse daily, increasing the risk of engine failure or fire. BMW’s delay in addressing this recall is putting my safety and the safety of others at risk. I request immediate action to ensure that BMW prioritizes this repair and prevents further damage to my vehicle. I would appreciate your urgent attention to this matter. My current 2021 Kia K5 FUEL TANK EXPLODED while driving. I’ve had this car for about 5 years and since driving it off the lot have experience issues with the vehicle and just a few hours ago, the fuel gas tank explode raising the back seat with passengers in the vehicle. It was extremely scary and something out of the blew. My friends and I were driving and I noticed the car engine light turn on
... (which was so odd to me as I keep a close eye to the car maintenance) and within 20 minutes we heard two EXTREMELY loud explosions sounds come from the car with the feeling of the car shake and rise a bit and felt as a tire exploded. I did not find this usual and we pulled over and the the seat my friend was sitting on was rose and unlatched. We then did some google searches and when looking into it, it appears there have been previous issues with this situation for other K5 Kia owners but KIA has done nothing regarding the matter. A few months ago I also went due to an internal thermostat exploding and causing the engine to overheat and smoke on the freeway and because they deemed it was not under the warranty, I left car-less for a week and a high bill. I don’t understand why I have to pay and endure these service costs when this is BASIC CAR FUNCTIONS. I do not appreciate the lack of empathy from dealer and service staff and feel unsafe and concerned for my safety for driving this vehicle. And now II have to endure the costs of being car less for 14 days per the dealer. Absurd.Read more

3-25-25 I got into my car at approximately 7:20 am with my children to take them to school and as soon as I drove out of my driveway I noticed a warning light flashing on my dashboard. I drove for maybe a mile before pulling over to turn my car off and back on to see if it would go away. I also called my husband to inform him and he looked it up to see what the light was. He said it was the automa

I turned the car back on and started to drive again but the warning light came back on, at this time I was crossing a railroad track, and my car stopped accelerating. The engine would rev up but not accelerate. I immediately looked down to see if I was in Drive and it was. At that moment a train was approaching and the train whistle was blowing and so I quickly tried to put the car in park and turn it off and back on and at that time I was able to drive my car across the tracks out of harms way thankfully. It was terrifying knowing a train was that close and my kids and I were stuck in a brand new vehicle that would not drive across the tracks.
