In April 2025, my 2013 Volkswagen Passat developed serious issues: the steering wheel cover is lifted, horn and steering wheel controls stopped working, lights malfunctioned, and now the vehicle will not start. It also has an open Takata airbag recall with no parts available until “after june” I contacted the dealership by phone and Spoke to Lykoto at Molle dealership in Kansas City. they have
... refused to provide a tow or a loaner vehicle. Due to this I have not had an in-person inspection. I no longer feel safe driving the car. The Manufacturer has been notified of this via email due to their services being closed on the weekends but will contact over the phone Monday morning. Symptoms worsened over months and the no-start issue appeared recently. Will be taking to a private mechanic asap to have the no-start issue confirmed.Read more

While driving at 35 mph my check engine light, Service Parking Break light, ABS Maintenance light all came on and my truck lost power to a point I could not go over 10 MPH. It started chugging and running very rough. Fortunately I was close to home and got it in the driveway. I called the dealership to set and appointment, tried to drive it down my driveway and couldnt get it over 10 MPH. I called

After a couple days the dealership called and said there is a lifter problem but wasnt fully into the engine to see if there was more damage and would call me once more testing had been done. Respected Sir/Madam, I am filing this complaint about a road incident that occurred on [XXX] near [XXX] that resulted in a total car loss for me, [XXX] , wife of [XXX] (jointly insured through GEICO Auto Insurance ). I am a responsible driver with no history of at-fault collisions, and I suffered severe mental pressure and miraculously survived a near-death experience due to this incident, which
... involved no other vehicle (not an actual crash). Two airbags were deployed, and I escaped with small injuries thanks to the grace of almighty god. I am attaching a copy of the police report of the incident. The incident describes that the car skidded from right to left to right on the same lane before toppling over. As far as I could tell the vehicle was trying to correct itself which led to it overcorrecting and causing it to go back and forth before toppling over and landing on the side. It is our opinion that on a day where there was no natural constraint (rain, snow, or wind), a car toppling is a big shock! I firmly believe that negligent driving was not the cause of this incident because there was no turn, no bend, or no car in front or behind to slam the brakes suddenly. This, I believe, is purely the result of a software failure of the Acura car (probably to do with lane departure and automatic braking) that has caused a topple of such a heavy magnitude. I believe that this near-death experience is solely the fault of ‘Acura’, the car company that manufactured the 2022 Acura RDX AWD . I am registering this as a formal complaint today { 4/25/2025 } in Farmington Hills at [XXX] , Zip: [XXX] against Acura. I would like the bureau to obtain compensation of 1 Million US Dollars from Acura for a near-death experience and severe mental strain that [XXX] and I encountered due to this incident. Formal Complaint Regarding Recall 24E12 and Related Emissions System Failure I am writing to formally file a complaint regarding my recent experience related to Ford Recall 24E12 Powertrain Control Module (PCM) Reprogramming for Emissions Compliance, and the subsequent failure of my vehicle's emissions system immediately following this recall service. The work was performed at Donley Ford 702 Char
... les St, Galion, OH 44833. On March 12, 2025, I took my vehicle in for the mandated Recall 24E12, which involves reprogramming the PCM to improve emissions component monitoring. Prior to this service, my vehicle exhibited no issues whatsoever, the check engine light was not on, and the vehicle operated perfectly. However, just a few days after the recall service (and with fewer than 5 miles driven post-service), I started my vehicle and was immediately met with a check engine light. I contacted the dealership service department and spoke with a representative who assured me there would be no charge to inspect the issue, given its potential connection to the recall. After I brought the vehicle in, I was texted (not called) and told that my catalytic converter had failed and that I was being quoted $2,446.55 + tax to replace it. I questioned how such a failure could occur immediately following a PCM update specifically targeting emissions system monitoring. The technician immediately denied any connection between the recall and the catalytic converter Given that Recall 24E12 involves PCM reprogramming to improve the detection and performance of emissions-related components, I find it extremely troubling that my catalytic converter failed immediately after the recall service, and that the dealer refuses to acknowledge any possible connection. I am requesting that the NHTSA investigate this matter further to determine, Whether the recall and PCM reprogramming could have caused or accelerated catalytic converter failure.Read more

RE: Subject: Urgent Concern Regarding Power Steering Failure - 2012 Ford Escape (VIN: [XXX] ) I am writing to express my urgent concern regarding a significant and recurring power steering failure in my 2012 Ford Escape, which I have owned for thirteen years. I have been experiencing a complete loss of power steering while driving, creating extremely dangerous situations. This issue is not interm
... ittent; it occurs frequently and without warning, making my vehicle difficult to control, particularly at lower speeds. I am now unable to drive my beloved car, My research indicates that Ford issued a safety recall for similar power steering problems in several 2011-2013 Ford models, including the Taurus, Flex, Fusion, and others. The recall, as described on [XXX] , addressed "a potential intermittent electrical connection in the steering gear that might result in the loss of electric power steering assist while driving." This description perfectly matches the issues I am experiencing. Despite these known problems and the related recall, I did not receive any notification, and my 2012 Ford Escape was not included in the listed models. I am deeply concerned and puzzled by this omission, as the safety risk is identical. The loss of power steering has repeatedly placed me in potentially hazardous situations, and I fear for my safety and the safety of other drivers. I urgently request your assistance in resolving this matter. Specifically, I would like to: Determine why my 2012 Ford Escape was not included in the power steering recall, given the identical symptoms. Request an immediate inspection of my vehicle by a certified Ford technician to diagnose and repair the power steering issue. Inquire about any potential remedies, including financial assistance, for the repairs, considering the known recall and the safety risk involved. engine - code p0128 engine coolant thermostat. This is a safety issue because it reduces the power steering on vehicle, auto stop stopped working, unable to remote start vehicle. Issue has been confirmed at an independent service center (I work at an auto collision center). Warning lamp - check engine light. Message on dash - power steering reduced. Appears everything came on at the same time. Per
... dealership items most likely needing replacement are engine coolant thermostat and engine coolant temperature sensor but ecm module could also need replacement. Advised common problem but no recall power train - transmission shutters when accelerating. Safety is at risk because vehicle will not accelerate or accelerate too quickly. Called to dealership advise flush transmission fluid twice to fix issue. We have done this 4 times in the past year. Shutter temporarily reduces but does not go away. Per service advisor it is a "function design" and if flushing transmission fluid does not fix issue then transmission will need to be replaced. There are no warning lights or messages on dash electrical - vehicle says shift to park when vehicle is in park and will not allow vehicle to turn off. It is a safety issue because vehicle will not shut off. Problem confirmed by an independent service center we have already replaced the in-line wire harness jumper. This did not fix the issue. Advised from service center that entire shifter would need to be replaced.Read more

To whom it may concern, I am writing to formally report a recurring safety-related issue with my 2016 Chevrolet Malibu. The vehicle consistently displays a “Shift to Park” warning message, even when the gear selector is properly in the Park position. This malfunction prevents the car from turning off completely and poses a serious safety and reliability concern. This issue first occurred whi

Despite the previous fix, the issue continues to persist. This malfunction is widely documented among other 2016–2019 Chevy Malibu owners and appears to stem from a design or manufacturing flaw in the shifter assembly or park switch. I am concerned that this defect could: Prevent the vehicle from being securely parked. Lead to battery drain due to the vehicle not shutting off. Pose a risk if the driver believes the car is in park when it is not. I am requesting that Chevrolet consider this a safety defect and either recall the affected vehicles or offer extended coverage for repairs. Was turning right onto the road when the steering locked up and every safety warning light came on. My car literally stopped moving in the middle of the road. I wasn't literally right down the road from my house so thankfully I was able to get the car back to my house. The steering felt worse than not having power steering. I called and the dealership Matt Blac KIA of Toms River, and they had my c
... ar towed to the dealership around 10 am on April 4th. Around 4pm I was told they still had no idea what was wrong with my car, and to come pick up a loaner car. On April 5th at 4:42 pm I received a text stating the wiring harness wasn't secured properly and rubbed the steering shaft, and they had to contact Kia to see how to proceed. April 11th was told the part arrived and hopefully sometime next week I would get my vehicle. As of right now I still don't have my vehicle and have no idea of when I will get it back. My main concern is that this was a serious oversight on the assembly of this car, and could have had very different results if I was not in my neighborhood and was on a busier road.Read more
