Driving down the freeway, with no previous issues at 80MPH. Next thing the truck stalls and won't restart. Vehicle jumped and runs when connected stops immediately once unjumped. Replaced battery at 51,000 miles and vehicle runs fine. Concern is the alternator is not strong enough to power the vehicle if the battery dies for mysterious reasons.

On April 14, 2025, I suffered an electric shock injury while using the Porsche Mobile Charger Plus (Part No. 9J1.971.675.AC; Model PMCPU96A) that came with my 2022 Porsche Taycan, purchased as a Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) vehicle on April 5, 2025, from Braman Porsche in Florida. The injury required emergency medical care and hospitalization. I continue to experience symptoms and am undergoing phys
... ical therapy and cardiology follow-up. After the incident, I learned that multiple NHTSA safety recalls and technical bulletins (e.g., 23V-841, APB6, ARB5, ARB7) were already active at the time of sale, affecting both the vehicle and charger. These bulletins cite overheating and internal defects that may cause safety hazards during charging. Despite the vehicle being sold under the Porsche CPO program, no recall was disclosed to me at the time of purchase. The dealership later returned a different charger than the one originally supplied, but I retained the original unit that caused the shock. I am preserving it for potential forensic examination. I am filing this complaint to request that NHTSA investigate the Porsche Mobile Charger Plus and the dealership’s sale of vehicles with open safety recalls. This appears to be a serious and ongoing risk to consumer safety.Read more

I was driving at 40mph on a town road on a dry, sunny day when, without warning, the brakes slammed on extremely forcefully, almost to a full stop, and a big triangle showed on the dashboard with the words COLLISION WARNING. I don’t recall if there was an audible alarm or not. The warning disappeared and the car resumed forward motion almost as quickly as it had appeared. My body jolted forwa

There were no other cars on the road at the time but, if there had been anyone in back of me, it very well could have caused an accident. My neck and chest are quite sore the day after this happened. I stopped the car and walked around outside and did not see anything out of the ordinary - nothing in the road either. It was a paved secondary road without potholes in the immediate vicinity. The dealership will be picking up the car to inspect it and implement an “alert” upgrade service for the front camera system that may or may not have any connection to the problem.Read more

Vehicle Power Loss and System Malfunctions I am writing to formally express my concern regarding a recurring and potentially dangerous issue with my vehicle, 2023 Honda Accord Hybrid. Twice while driving, the vehicle suddenly shut down on the freeway and completely lost power. In both cases, I was fortunately able to steer the car to the shoulder of the road, but this posed a serious safety risk
... . During these incidents, multiple system error messages appeared on the dashboard, including alerts related to braking, lane departure, and other critical functions. Alarmingly, this same issue has also occurred while the vehicle was parked in my garage. Each time, the only way to temporarily resolve the issue has been to shut off the vehicle and restart it. Upon restarting, the only remaining warning is related to the braking system, along with a prompt to bring the car to the dealership. If the vehicle is restarted again, all error messages disappear. I have contacted my dealership after each occurrence and brought the vehicle in for inspection. My car is currently at the dealership, and I am awaiting information on the cause of the problem and the proposed resolution. After the first time it happened, I have taken video/pictures of the errors and supplied same to the dealership. I consider this a serious safety concern—not only for myself but also for any passengers and other drivers on the road. Quite honestly, I am now afraid to drive the car, knowing that it could unexpectedly shut down at any moment without warning.Read more

Randomly, and without warning, the instruments, gauges, and displays will switch into a language I do not speak or understand (Italian). Coinciding with the switch to Italian language, cluster and radio display settings revert back to default settings, auto door locks and paddle shifter becomes inoperative (with no menu to enable), pedestrian emergency brake (peb) lamp or forward collision warning
... (fcw) lamp turns on with no way to disable, units of measurement including speed, temperature, etc. all change, and many other random settings change as well. ***This is clearly a dangerous situation because of all the functions and gauges that change, and the fact it is difficult if not impossible to recover from this due to the language of the setting menus, and the complexity of discovering and navigating through all these changes. I have taken it to the dealer five times, and they have wanted to charge me at first but I purchased extended warranty but that is also close to running out. It is now June 28, 2025 and the issue is back. When this happens, even if one is able to wade through all the settings menus and change setting back, some items cannot be reset (like the FCA off lamp). According to various Jeep owner forums, some dealers have been able to reset something and temporarily correct the issue, but they charge for this service, and the issue returns randomly again. Here is an example forum discussion, indicating many if not all vehicles are affected: [XXX] Many people on the forum believe this issue did not start until a software update a year or so ago. This is a well known and widespread problem, and there is even a DOT Bulletin on the issue: dot.report Bulletins Because this is dangerous (for settings/gauges/units to no longer be useful while driving), and it occurs randomly, I strongly believe this issue should be a manufacturer recall. Steering Gear Rack - Steering control rapidly diminished over a short amount of time. Initially was okay but steering began to intermittently stick and wouldn’t self-center. Issue became nearly full-time within a month. Got to the point that it required a ‘tug’ to re-center. Took to a shop to additionally find that the boot clamps had broke themselves loose, causing the boots to separate and
... freely slide around. Driver seat airbag - service airbag system (?) warning on dash. Loose/bad connector in center console according to a mechanic leading to potential airbag deployment failure. Both of these issues are reportedly exceedingly common among RAMs, with steering gear racks extending as far back as 2013, and the airbag situation commonly effecting at least the ‘18 models. Additionally, Rear axle (passenger-side) - Shop discovered at the same time a seal had failed causing axle lubricant to spray onto hub causing extreme risk to breaking system due to the spray. Potentially lead to corrosion of caliper and caused advanced rusting resulting in wheel not spinning freely/easily. Driver side works as should. Warranty refused coverage of steering gear rack due to ‘improper installation’, as they claim, due to boots having separated from their respective mount points and loose clamps. Dates and mileage are rough estimates at time of on-set.Read more
