The un-repaired recall did not cause a safety issue in this case, but I have moved to Canada and the recall has prevented me from registering and using the vehicle (it is not possible to complete the import process or register any vehicle that has an outstanding recall).

The unresolved braking issues likely contributed to the crash, directly endangering driver safety and that of others on the road. The dealer addressed the brake pedal and ABS issues during repairs, but no definitive resolution or independent confirmation has been made regarding the root cause. The problem persists as a potential safety hazard. The vehicle has been inspected by Progressive Insurance representatives. Initially, Genesis verbally approved my insurer’s certified third-party expert to retrieve the EDR data. However, Genesis reversed this approval and now insists that only their internal vendor may access the data, which could take 6–8 weeks—delaying independent investigation and resolution. This restrictive approach obstructs transparency and raises concerns about the integrity of the investigation. It has been three weeks since the accident and Genesis has yet to take steps to have the vehicle inspected or scheduled inspection. The police were involved at the time of the accident. Warning signs related to the brake pedal and ABS system appeared from February 2025, prompting the repair period and ABS module replacement. No new warnings appeared immediately before the accident, but the ongoing brake system issues clearly signaled a safety concern. But they have deemed the vehicle to be unsafe to drive and will not give it back to me. I have asked them to replace it with a new vehicle but they have refused. I went through the Lemon Law option and all they would offer me was to repurchase it for $23,000 less than what I have into it. They offered to pay me $9,000 and to keep the car but they have no idea what's wrong or how long it will take to fix it. So that offer is meaningless. I visited five other luxury dealers and confirmed that other brands do not allow demo or recall vehicles to be sold this way. Genesis’ refusal to fix or buy back the car and their attempt to cover up recall issues reveals a systemic failure in recall enforcement and corporate responsibility. NHTSA Recall Number 23V896 has had two promise dates from Ford that have come and gone. There is currently no updated information on when this will be fixed. There is no acceptable excuse for this. It's not that hard to resolve.

I have purchased a used 2017 Lincoln MKZ Reserve 2.0l in August of 2023 that started losing coolant and smoking from exhaust. Upon further investigation the coolant was noticed in the cylinder 2 through the spark plug opening. I had changed the head gasket and noticed the slotted coolant journals between the cylinders which was clear this was where the coolant was leaking from. After replacing the
... cylinder head gasket it run fine for about another month before starting to have same issues of losing coolant and smoking from exhaust, coolant was observed in cylinders 2 and 3. Ford recommended replacing the engine to the new design engine that eliminated the slots, this would be at Customer cost. Engine cost was $2,618.67 in March of 2024 just to purchase the engine, i replaced the engine myself. Vehicle was at 58,735 miles but warranty was out of date. Read more

If it weren't for me swerving into an open lane to the right one time, I would have undoubtedly been rear-ended by a car traveling 80 mph. In that instance, my speed went from 0 mph to less than 30 mph in just seconds, which could have easily paralyzed me or even killed me had I hit my head on impact. Though I didn’t sustain a physical injury the first time this happened on the freeway, I did suffer a panic attack due to the sudden and extreme danger of the situation. Yes, the problem has been confirmed by two separate Honda dealerships at different times, but both were caused by the same issue.
