RIVETS IN THE CAMPER STAIRS WERE REPLACED WITH BOLTS AS SPECIFIED IN THE ACTIVE RECALL. I INSPECTED UNIT BEFORE PICKING BACK UP FROM THE SELLING DEALERSHIP. THE LOWER STEP IN THE STAIRCASE MAKE A LOUD POP WHEN YOU STEP ON IT WHILE EITHER ASCENDING OR DESCENDING THE STAIRCASE. FOR 27,000 MILES HAD NOT ONE PROBLEM WITH TRANSMISSION EVEN IN ROCKY MOUNTAINS. CUSTOMER ASSISTANCE BEEN CONTACTED NUMEROUS TIMES WITH NO RESULTS. THEY ADVISED 2,000 - 3,000 MILES FOR TRANS TO ADJUST TO DRIVING HABITS, ETC. AFTER 2,600 MILES RUNS WORSE SKIPPING AND SLIPPING (EVERY 5 - 10 SECONDS) EVEN AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS AND ESPECIALLY STARTING AND STOPPING IN TRAFFIC. NOW THEY SAY TAKE IT BACK TO A DEALER TO GET CHECKED AGAIN. CALLED DEALER AND THEY SAY NOT TO BRING IT BACK BECAUSE CHEVY WON'T LET THEM WORK ON IT. HELP! THIS MOTORHOME WAS PURCHASED AT THE END OF MAY 2015. AFTER TAKING DELIVERY, I NOTICED THE STEERING WHEEL WAS OFF TO THE RIGHT WHILE DRIVING. UPON INSPECTION THE NEUTRAL WIRE GOING INTO THE GENERATOR TRANSFER BOX WHICH IS LOCATED UNDER THE BED WAS FOUND TO BE BURNT THRU THE INSULATOR AND INTO THE HOT LEAD WHICH CREATED A DIRECT SHORT. THIS IS THE MAIN WIRE FROM THE OUTSIDE SOURCE GOING DIRECTLY INTO THE RV. PROBLEM IS WITH THE TWIST CONNECTORS USED TO CONNECT SINGLE STRAND ELECTRIC WIRE TO MULTI STR

UPON PRE-TRAVEL INSPECTION OF MY FOREST RIVER 25RR TRAVEL TRAILER TIRES ALL 4 VAIL SPORT ST205/75D14 HAVE SIGNIFICANT SIDEWALL CRACKING, WITH ONE HAVING A BULGE. THERE IS APPROXIMATELY 5000 MILES ON THE TT, AND IT IS A 2013 MODEL. I DECIDED TO REPLACE THE TIRES AS I DID NOT SEE THEM AS SAFE FOR USE.

THE MORNING OF OUR DEPARTURE I FOUND THAT THE 2 REAR SLIDE ROOMS HAD DEPLOYED OVERNIGHT ON THEIR OWN AND WOULD NOT RETRACT. IMAGINE THIS HAPPENING WHILE YOU ARE ON THE ROAD AND THE ROOMS DEPLOY IN TRAFFIC! THERE WERE NO INLINE FUSES, BREAKERS OR OTHER FAIL-SAFES TO PREVENT THIS FROM HAPPENING. I HAVE A SHASTA AIRFLYTE REISSUE. THE MANUFACTURE PUT PASSENGER TIRES ON IT P225/75R15. THEY ARE TO HAVE 35 PSI. THE STICKER SAYS GVW IS 3635 LBS. EACH TIRE SAYS MAX LOAD 1874 LBS. THE WHEELS SAY MAX LOAD EACH 1820 LBS. IT IS MY UNDERSTANDING THAT IT IS NOT SAFE TO RUN PASSENGER TIRES ON AN ENCLOSED TRAILER, CAMPER. A TRAILER NEEDS TIRES WITH A STRONGER SIDE WALL AND BE ABLE TO INFLATE TO 6
... 5 PSI. I ALSO UNDERSTAND THAT THE TIRES AND WHEELS SHOULD BE RATED AT 20% MORE THAN GVW. THE WHEELS ARE ALSO OFFSET TO WHERE THE INSIDE CLEARANCE IN THE WHEEL WELL IS ONLY ABOUT 1". I HAVE A SHASTA AIRFLYTE REISSUE AND WHEN RECEIVING IT FROM THE DEALER AND TOWING IT HOME, I FOUND THAT THE TIRES HAD RUBBED THE WHEEL WELL. THERE WAS ONLY ABOUT AN INCH OF CLEARANCE AT THE TOP AND ONLY ABOUT 1/2 INCH ON THE INSIDE WALL OF THE WHEEL WELL. THE DRIVER SIDE, OR ROAD SIDE IS CLOSER THAN THE PASSENGER SIDE?? SHASTA, THRU THE DEALER, PUT A BANANA SHACKLE ON TO RAISE THE CLEARANCE. I
... STILL ONLY HAVE 1 3/4" ON DRIVER SIDE, AND 2 1/4" ON PASSENGER SIDE, AND ABOUT 1" ON THE INSIDE WALL. THE PROBLEM SEEMS THAT THE SPRINGS ARE CHEAP, FROM CHINA, AND FLAT. ADDING A SHACKLE DOESN'T SOLVE THE PROBLEM, JUST MAKES MORE SWAY. VISIBLE RUBBING IN IS THE TOP OF THE WHEEL WELL. TIRE SIZE = ST225/75R15D DESIGNED FOR PASSENGER CARS. THE STICKERS ON THE SIDE OF MY CAMPER INFORMS ME TO INFLATE THE COKER TIRE TO 35 PSI AND TIRE ITSELF INDICATES 35PSI MAXIMUM INFLATION. (I KNOW OF FOLKS IN THE SHASTA CAMPER CLUB WITH A DIFFERENT STICKER OF 65PSI. THEIR CAMPERS WERE MANUFACTURED BEFORE MINE. THEY HAVE NOT BEEN NOTIFIED TO CHANGE THE PSI. WE HAVE NO IDEA WHO HAS THE CORRECT INFORMATION AS THE COMPANY IS NOT OPENLY COMMUNICATING. POTENTIALLY WE ARE BOTH WRONG.) I CONSIDER THIS SITUATION TO BE A SERIOUS SAFETY CONCERN WHICH FOREST RIVER IS NOT TAKING SERIOUSLY. THERE WILL BE A TOTAL OF 1,941 UNITS BUILT AND THEY WILL ALL HAVE THE SAME 'STOCK' WHITEWALL TIRES. I AM CONCERNED THAT THE RUBBING CAN CAUSE A BLOWOUT AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. *SHASTA (FR SUBSIDIARY) IMPLEMENTED A WARRANTY (SHACKLE ATTACHMENT TO SPRING) TO MY CAMPER INDICATING THAT IT WOULD HELP WITH THE CLEARANCE BUT I DO NOT SEE A DIFFERENCE. WITH THIS TIRE IN PLACE, I HAVE ABOUT A ~2' TIRE CLEARANCE AND RUBBING OF TIRES CONTINUES TO BE A CONCERN.
