All the bolts holding camper on frame were loose & 2 we're missing... Screws around slide out loose. Causing the side to split.
Incident date: Mar 28, 2022
On my camper, there are bolts from the body through the frame to hold the two together. While inspecting my camper nearly all the bolts could be unscrewed by hand, with a few having a noticeable gap where they had backed away. There were only 3 bolts on the entire camper that were tight. If these bolts had continued to loosen it is possible the body could separate from the frame while driving. I
... contacted the manufacturer over this issue and was told to inspect those bolts each time. Nowhere in the owners manual could I find where this is a requirement.Read more

While towing our 5th wheel cross country on a trip in July 2020 our front hydraulic jack legs starting coming down several times while driving and contacted the road surface which could have possibly resulted in loss of control. Some how the hydraulic system was applying pressure by itself while towing .I first tried disconnecting electrical power to the hydraulic system and keeping the jack legs
... up with a 400 lb rated ratchet strap and the legs would still come down on its own with enough pressure to break the 400 lb rated strap. I was finally able to keep the leg secured up with 2 x 600 lb rated ratchet straps. While in Indiana we took our new 5th wheel to a Lippert componets service center and they replaced both front jacks and drained and replaced all the fluid under warranty. The service tech said this issue happened sometimes. Searching the internet it appears this a fairly common problem. This is a safety issue and Lippert should be responsible for coming up with a permanent solution.Read more

I bought this trailer last year at Albany RV ONE in Latham NY I saw several posts online about the bolts not being secured to the frame from the body. Upon inspection I found ours were not only loose, but some were not installed at all. This should have been caught at the factory or at the dealership when inspected for sale They did give us a current State inspection sticker on the trailer. We the
... n expected that it was inspected at the dealer. I paid over 400.00 to the dealer for the needed repairs (installing bolts) This should have been found during inspection at the factory or during the NYS inspection when sold to us. RV ONE takes no reasonability for either and claims it's not under warranty so we have to pay which I did to get my camper back. Could you please look into this for us? I purchased a 2021 Cherokee Grey Wolf travel trailer in May of 2021. After pulling only twice I noticed that the unit side trekked when in tow towards the passenger side shifting the rear of the trailer approximately 6-8 inches toward the passenger side compared to the trailer's front body lines. I scheduled service for the unit at my locale Forest River Repair Shop where they identified that the
... 1 of the 2 axles were bent. This defect caused this unit to sway very dramatically at times when traveling down the road. It also increased the blind spot on the passenger side and increased tire wear due to the fact that the wheels were not in line with one another which could have resulted in premature tire failure if not noticed.Read more

The propane stopped working, I had just installed new refilled tanks and was troubleshooting so I turned on the refrigerator propane and waited outside for it to light. I went to listen at the tanks to see if I can hear propane going throug
... h the lines, I do hear propane, but the burner will not light. Nothing propane wise currently works. I did some internet research and came across the Jayco recall with the exact same regulator part that I have. I called Forest River and they said since they do not have a recall on that part, they will do nothing about it. They gave me a number for the distributor, which I called, he told me they also do not have a recall on it and also will not replace it he also said the manufacturer will also not replace it because they also do not have a recall on it. I find this to be a huge safety issue, as reading the recall Jayco put out it appears that the regulator could put out to much propane and cause a fire.Read more
