When filling the fresh water tank for the first time, the forward frame bracket pivoted and the tank fell to the ground. The tank broke where the fill and vent tube attach. In the late part of 2020 the door frame to the room in the rear fell from the ceiling onto the ground, that was determined by the company(MagicTouch) I bought it from that the manufacturer(Forest River)had not properly secured the frame to the ceiling, the screws missed the truss rafters and were only screwed in the ceiling material which is only about 1/4" thick, Forest River did pay to have it r
... epaired. Again something very similar occurred to one of the bunkbeds in that same room, I entered my trailer to prep it for our 2022 Easter vacation and noticed that one of the bunkbeds had collapsed from the wall and fall on top of the sofa bed that is located directly below it, if this would of happened when someone was sleeping on the bed it would of fell on top of the person and most likely would of had a head injury. This bed can be put in a up postion when not in use and down when in use, a hinge makes this possible, since we don't use this for sleeping, we use 3 small plastic containers to store our clothe, these containers can't weigh no more than 10 pounds each. After examining why this occured I found that the part of the bed that screws into the wall was not screwed into any studs, I found this out by getting a skewer and putting one of the screws that were used and marked the length of the threads, then I stuck the skewer straight into the screw holes on the wall, I knew if there screws had been screwed into a stud the skewer would stop where I put the mark at, the results were that the skewer went past the mark and hit the wall on the other side, I tried to attach a video showing me doing this but it wouldn't allow me to, but I have attached many photos, you will see that the hinge from the bed 5 of 7 screws missed the wood completely. After I saw how negligent they were while building is it showed they just don't care and if they built my trailer like this I'm sure there are others and what is going result of this is someone getting seriously injured.Read more

My wife and I bought a 2022 Forest River Cherokee Wolfpack 325 for $70K in MARCH about 5 hours from our home. Not even 3 hours later, driving home down the interstate the left rear tire, hub, and everything came flying off down the interstate. FOREST RIVER RVs ARE UNSAFE! Luckily the tire did not hit anyone. We called the dealership we bought it from and they said to have it towed back to them to
... be fixed or we could take it to another Forest River vendor to be replaced under warranty. We decided to drive it about 60 miles on 3 tires to a Camping World for repairs. 3 days later Camping World had an opening for the RV to be inspected. The technician said one of the tires did not have a cotter pin installed and that more than likely the tire that came off did not have one either. The technician said we were extremely lucky the other tire did not fall off. This is unacceptable. Forest River needs to inspect their RV's more carefully before saling them to vendors. We could have crashed, the tire could have hit another car, or worse someone may have even died. The CEO of the vendor we purchased from personally called us not even an hour after the incident to make sure we were ok and gave us his personal number if we needed anything. He also said to call him when we made it safely to our destination to make sure we got home ok. Forest River never reached out to make sure we were ok, to apologize, or to even understand how the tire came off from our point of view. After several weeks of not hearing an update, I called Camping World and they said Forest River had them rewrite the warranty 3 times. After reaching out to Forest River for another week, I finally had a 3 way call with Forest River and Camping World to get the Warranty squared away. AFTER 5 WEEKS!!!! and multiple calls to Camping World and Forest River, Forest River finally approved the warranty and Camping World ordered the parts. ONLY 2 PARTS ARRIVED at Camping World. The Maxxair fan is a component that sits on the roof of the RV. Looking at the install instructions, the unit is installed by attaching the flange to the roof. What failed was that the 'top' portion of the fan, where the motor and and the cover attachments are, flew off at speed, on the highway. Fortunately, I pulled over right away, and found the unit still attached by the power wires. The
... safety issue would be if a 15"x15"x8" unit weighing about 20 lbs went airborne in traffic, causing an incident for whoever was behind the RV where this happened. Two of the Frame Bolts underneath the front of our E-Pro 19FBS camper are partly rusted and missing a nut (one on driver side and one on passenger side). The bolt on the passenger side is out of the metal frame hole it should be in, and the metal frame is slightly bent. Both bolts are at a slight angle. The other 10 Frame Bolts are not visibly rusted and there is a nut on each one but a few are lo
... ose enough to twist off by hand. The others seem tight enough but we can’t be sure without knowing what torque number they should be tightened to. We double checked the Forest River owner’s manual but there is no mention of Frame Bolts in the 'maintenance' list or anywhere else. Also, there are no lock washers on the frame bolts to prevent self-loosening. This is surprising because it seems these frame bolts are the only thing holding the body of our camper to its frame. We have owned our camper a little over 3 years and we use it 3 to 5 times a year to travel short distances, all on main roads and major highways for camping only on paved or gravel leveled lots. We have never taken the camper off road or towed a heavy load. Our frame bolts should not be so loose that two bolt nuts fell off and a few can be twisted off by hand. We are reporting this Frame Bolt failure because it is something that can cause separation of the RV box from its frame while in motion. We routinely check everything on the camper but not everyone does unless there is a reason to. Maybe what we found is not a common issue but it is worth reporting because paying special attention to Frame Bolts during production (Forest River) , at point of sale (Dealership) and as part of routine maintenance (RV Owner) could save a life. We sent an email to Forest River yesterday describing the problem and requesting they cover the cost of repair. Nobody has inspected our camper except for us because we just discovered the issue last weekend during routine camper maintenance.Read more

Docking Station Door Melting 2019 Forest River 34Mid Impression: Forest River and their infinite wisdom designed this model with the Docking Station (which is made of plastic) one inch above and directly above the hot water heater heat exhaust vent. The replacement door has, of course, melted, too. This seems like a major safety concern to have something melting and possibly could catch fire if it gets hot enough. I ask, how did this design get through and be built in the first place??? Where are the inspections on RVs to assure the safety of owners and users???Read more

I bought a Forest River Gray Wolf 26DBHBL on April 4th 2022 from Camping World in Anthony, TX. Both of the back right brakes locked up on us 100 miles from home on only our second camping trip with the camper. When we took off and opened the brake drum, the brakes were broken apart. Springs were off and adjusting bolts were bent and stripped, among other parts that were broken off. There was
... almost no oil inside the drum cap. We checked the left side and the brakes were very loose. None of the brakes were ever adjusted. This could have caused a very bad accident at a high rate of speed as the brakes could have locked on us then. I bought a new camper thinking it was safe and worry free so that we could travel with my one year old. The camper is now back at the dealer we bought it from. There was no warning other than a loud noise coming from the brakes. The camper had to be towed without brakes to the dealer.Read more

These campers have under rated ply tires. The tires should have a higher ply rating then what they come with. I had 5 tires blow out while the camper wasn't even full. I've tried to discuss this with Forest River and they basically said they don't care. The 14" 8 ply tire is under rated for the weight of the camper. This does cause unsafe issues on the highway. It could cause accidents, serious in

Shortly after purchasing our RV, we noticed one of the trailer exterior doors would not stay closed. We inspected the rig and saw what looked like a small rubber seam separation. Called ins and filed a claim but they said keep moving and keep an eye on it as it was a small separation. The trailer was back on the road about 30 miles when my Husband noticed it sagging and almost resting on our truck
... bed. We pulled over to see if we were imagining such an issue and found that the rig had literally separated from the frame. The bottom almost out of the master, the master closet crumbled the steps up to the room became dislodged. It became completely un-towable & could have resulted in a horrible outcome had my Husband not looked back to see where the trailer was sitting in comparison to our truck. This was deemed totaled by our insurance company & NOT covered due to no collision or natural disaster!Read more
