The factory windshield is loose/improperly bonded causing MOLD. This problem was found when i first bought the only four year old vehicle because of a musty/moldy smell. On the way home from the dealership it happened to storm and there were a few raindrops coming in at the top center of the windshield. I also had terrible allergy symptoms and headaches after only a few minutes of driving. I p
... eeked under part of the vinyl floor and discovered major water and mold issues. I took it to my local Ford dealership who confirmed the windshield was likely the culprit as it was very loose. I researched this online and found an auto leak specialist demonstrating this same make/year/model van that the windshield could be easily moved simply by pushing lightly on the glass from inside the cabin, showing a bonding issue. This was the case on my van as well. This is the same issue that there WAS a recall for on the previous model (there just isn't one for this model yet) The damage was extensive and very dangerous for people like me who are sensitive to mold and can cause respiratory issues. I removed the seats and floor. There was approximately half gallon of water under the vinyl floor and mold everywhere. the vinyl floor conceals the water as it is waterproof. I spent well over a week on mold mitigation with drying/contaminated part removal/disinfecting. The insulation in the footwell was soaked and full of mold as well as the open cell foam on the underside of the vinyl. The metal body parts also had mold. I reached out to Ford Customer Care who claimed there's nothing they could do to help because there are no recalls for this model. I have to pay for everything myself. The windshield was confirmed by an auto glass specialist to have been factory and an original factory bead of sealant. They also confirmed it was a bonding issue, They were able to detach and reset it PROPERLY for $424. I still have to replace the insulation and entire vinyl floor.Read more

Incident date: Apr 21, 2026
Coolant was found to be leaking in cylinder number 4. The Ford dealer told us the vehicle needed a new engine with a repair cost of $8,000.00. It is not available for inspection, since it was auctioned off by the Ford dealer. My wife and children were stopped at a stop sign and the engine started to misfire. She was trying to turn onto a busy highway and it lacked power with no acceleration
... initially. Once on the highway. the engine continued to run rough. On the dash, the "engine fault, service now" light appeared. A diagnostic test was performed at a Ford dealer and was confirmed to be coolant leaking into a cylinder. It was not inspected by anyone else. The engine was making a wierd noise after it was turned off a couple of days before and the coolant in the overflow tank was significantly elevated. After it stalled on my wife, the overflow coolant tank was constantly low and needed to be filled back up after each use. After driving and for 4-5 minutes after the engine was turned off, it sounded like water slooshing around in the engine. When it was taken in for diagnostic testing the "engine" light was flashing and then turned solid and then turned off.Read more

Transmission failure caused my vehicle to jump/jerk and left me out of control of the speed of my truck at times. It has been confirmed that I need a new transmission. A service light came on only after issues started. Said light would turn off once the vehicle was turned off and not come back on until driven again.

My 2016 Ford F-150 is currently subject to Recall 26S28 / NHTSA Recall 26V237. Prior to the recall remedy becoming available, the vehicle began experiencing erratic transmission shifting and illuminated the check engine light, wrench symbol, and codes P0720 and P0722 were present. I brought the vehicle to an authorized Ford dealership for diagnosis. The dealership documented that the vehicle was
... experiencing erratic shifting and was considered not drivable. The technician determined that the erratic shifting condition was related to DTCs P0720 and P0722 and recommended replacement of the transmission lead frame/conductor plate. The technician also noted the need for additional diagnostics involving the Output Speed Sensor (OSS) circuit within the transmission. The vehicle remains available for inspection at the dealership. This condition created a safety concern because the transmission was shifting erratically and the vehicle could not be relied upon for normal operation. Unpredictable transmission behavior creates a risk during acceleration, merging, highway travel, and other driving situations where consistent vehicle response is required. At the time, I was preparing for a cross-country military PCS move and did not believe the vehicle was safe or reliable to drive long distance. The problem was confirmed by an authorized Ford dealership who documented the condition, diagnostic codes, and repair recommendation. The findings were provided to Ford Motor Company through Corporate Case Number CXH-08096574-L9M6T4. Ford representatives advised that the Automotive Safety Office was notified regarding the technician findings and the open recall. My concern is that the vehicle developed transmission-related symptoms involving P0720, P0722, erratic shifting, and a recommended lead frame/conductor plate replacement while subject to an active safety recall affecting related transmission systems. Ford has stated that the recall remedy is not available until July 2026.Read more

The driver-side seat belt retractor on my 2015 Ford Mustang GT Premium has failed. The seat belt retracts back into the retractor housing when released; however, it does not lock when pulled sharply and continues to extend freely. I confirmed this by repeatedly performing a rapid pull test while seated in the vehicle. The failure affects the seat belt restraint system because the belt does not ap
... pear to engage its locking mechanism. This could increase the risk of injury in a crash because the seat belt may not properly restrain the occupant during sudden deceleration or impact. The issue was inspected and confirmed by a Ford dealership service department. The dealer diagnosed the driver-side seat belt retractor as failed and recommended replacement of the retractor assembly. The dealer provided an estimated repair cost of approximately $550 plus tax. The vehicle was inspected by Smith Ford in Conway, Arkansas. The vehicle was also inspected for a separate seat belt recall, and the recall inspection passed. The dealer advised that the failed retractor was not related to the recall and would require customer-paid repair. There were no warning lights, messages, or airbag system warnings present when the failure was discovered. The primary symptom was that the seat belt would retract normally but would not lock during a rapid pull test. The exact date the failure first occurred is unknown, but the condition was identified during normal vehicle operation and later confirmed by the dealership.Read more

Within the past three years of owning I have had an unfortunate circumstance where my transmission twice now; once at 90,000 and now at 110,000. My vehicle has decided to unexpectedly shift WITHOUT my input from 10th to 1st resulting in the transmission needing to be serviced due to the fact it will dump transmission fluid (a quart or two) and reach temperatures of 215 to 230 degrees Fahrenheit wh
... ile driving at high speeds for example both instances have been on the interstate doing 75mph. I will loose all power of my vehicle but I still am in control of it. This to me is a huge safety concern due to the fact I am driving at a high rate of speed. Yes I understand it has been twice in three years but this is not a normal circumstance. I have had a local shop take a look at it and both times they have found nothing major except a loss of a quart of fluid. Due to the fact there is multiple information available out there on this similar event so it is not a fluke I believe it is more a coincidence with the 10r80 transmission by ford. I am reporting it because in my personal opinion this is NOT normal or typical behavior for a transmission, I only have 110,000 on my odometer so yes I can definitely see high mileage being a factor but if that is the case why has my transmission not finally given out yet? I own a 2021 Ford Escape Hybrid SEL, VIN [XXX]. The vehicle currently has approximately 104,708 miles. The vehicle has developed a shuddering, vibration, and chatter condition during low-speed turns, parking maneuvers, backing up, and other tight turning situations. The condition is most noticeable while turning in parking lots and at low speeds. The vehicle was inspected by a Ford dealership wh
... ile it was being repaired for a separate engine concern. During that inspection, the dealership diagnosed a rear differential/internal clutch concern and provided an estimate of approximately $2,709 for repair. After receiving the diagnosis, I learned that Ford issued TSB 25-2351 regarding low-speed turning chatter, vibration, and shudder concerns on certain Ford Escape vehicles. My vehicle is experiencing symptoms consistent with those described in the bulletin. In addition to the vibration and chatter during turns, I have also noticed abnormal noises from the vehicle during low-speed maneuvering and when shifting into park. The condition appears to be worsening with continued operation. I contacted Ford Motor Company and opened a customer assistance case regarding this concern. I later contacted Ford again to update my case and advise them that my vehicle is experiencing symptoms consistent with TSB 25-2351. Ford advised me that there are currently no recalls, special coverage programs, or customer satisfaction programs available for my VIN. I was advised to keep my repair records and receipts in the event a future recall or reimbursement program is issued. I am submitting this complaint so that this issue can be documented and evaluated. I am concerned about the continued deterioration of the rear differential or rear drive unit components and the potential impact on the safe operation and reliability of the vehicle. On June 3, 2026 at approximately 3:48 PM, I was operating my 2025 Ford F-150 Lightning Flash in front of my home. The vehicle was at a stop or near-stop. I shifted the vehicle into Reverse, and it rapidly accelerated unexpectedly while in one-pedal driving mode. I then attempted to shift the vehicle into Park to stop it. The vehicle then stopped abruptly and surged forward, ultimately crashing int
... o the front of my house. The vehicle movement and acceleration were not consistent with my intended driver input. One-pedal drive was on, cruise control/BlueCruise/driver assist were off, road conditions were dry, no warning lights or messages appeared, and I noticed no floor mat obstruction. The exact speed reached is unknown, but the impact caused substantial exterior and interior structural damage to the house. I sustained injuries to my head, neck, right leg, and left elbow and went to the hospital for evaluation and treatment. A police report is pending. I am filing this complaint because the vehicle appeared to experience rapid unexpected acceleration and movement not consistent with intended driver input.Read more
