I just purchased a 2026 Hyundai Palisade Limited Edition Sunday, June 28,2026 from Tomball Hyundai. Today, July 3, 2026 I was PARKED in a parking lot not near anyone, sitting in my running vehicle & heard a crackling noise. Glass was falling out and into vehicle as I drove. I arrived and was told the service manager would have to call someone to see if they are going to pay for it or not. I haven’t even had the car for a week. I was parked, and it just shattered. Not moving, nothing hit it or was even nearby. I feel this is a defect and have seen numerous reports online of the same thing happening to others. I researched online to see this was a very common issue/defect in 21-25 models, along with 2026 models.Read more

While driving our 1 month old car we intermittently heard a loud clap sound, we assumed it was due to it being a hybrid vehicle. Well on Wednesday we were merging on to the freeway at approx 20 mph when we heard an extremely loud bang and the 3rd window imploded. There was nothing that hit the car, no point of origin for any foreign object, but rather an implosion. How was your safety or the saf
... ety of others put at risk? This happened within inches of my child's head and terrified my child. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? We immediately assessed the vehicle was not safe to drive and filed a complaint with Kia Corporate and called the dealership we purchased it from to be assessed and repaired. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? It is currently at the dealership. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? The only oddity was the intermittent clapping sound we heard randomly over the past few weeks of driving our new van.Read more

I took my suv in for diagnostics to a certified GM dealership at least twice while still under warranty. The check engine light was on, the car was behaving abnormally as well as making unusual concerning noises. The dealership sent me away saying no codes showed up and they couldn’t find a problem. The light would come on and off sporadically. I took screen shots of my dashboard every time the
... light came on. Within months of my warranty expiring xI was traveling to IL 1.5 hours from home on I-90 during heavy traffic. Suddenly the dashboard provided extensive messages ex: engine overheating, idle engine, etc and I could not get the rpm’s over 68, then 65; then 60; then 58 etc. I pulled over to let the engine cool on the side of a four lane bumper to bumper interstate environment alone. I had to have the car towed back from Elgin on my dime and took it into the same dealership where this time I spent 1700 on what I recall being told “engine coolant repair” as they claim small leak. Less than a month later the check engine light came back on so I took it back to the dealership. My Cadillac app was registering the same alertmas before the fix : engine coolant system. Dealership said it was a blown head gasket (something about cyl 1) sep from what they worked on for the 1700 and ate wanting over 3700 for this repair. My car was I believe months out of manufacturer warranty though I complained multiple times of concerns and because it is a “separate” issue from May repair and no year warranty from them either . 7 day wait for replacement part alone. I had car towed directly from dealership it was at to a mom n pop auto repair center in town awaiting full diagnostics, preserving “evidence” I learned online my particular suv (2019 Cadillac xt4 premium luxury) is known to have engine and other issues that don’t register codes and likely over 90% chance related to misdiagnosis or a band aid repair. *i have screenshots of dash, “my caddy”app alerts, etc*Read more

... l leaks, and an authorized Ford dealership has confirmed that coolant is entering the engine, causing internal damage. The dealership noted that this matches the exact defect Ford has acknowledged in multiple Technical Service Bulletins (TSB 19-2375, TSB 20-2100, SSM 48106, SSM 48150) and Customer Satisfaction Program 21N12. However, I am told my specific VIN is excluded from coverage, leaving me financially responsible for a full engine replacement. This defect is a severe safety concern. It can cause sudden engine misfires, overheating, and a complete loss of power while driving, placing my family and other motorists at immediate risk. As a single mother rebuilding my life after leaving a domestic violence relationship, I cannot afford to pay thousands of dollars to fix an inherent, manufacturer-acknowledged design flaw. The high volume of consumer complaints proves this is a widespread manufacturing defect, not normal wear and tear. I respectfully request that the NHTSA investigate this further and require Ford to issue a full safety recall or extend coverage to all affected vehicles, regardless of VIN eligibility. Sudden self-acceleration by new RAV4 hybrid with less than 1000 miles on it. I made a hard left at low speed onto an uphill residential street. Saw a car backing down the street 1/2 block ahead so I took my foot off accelerator to slow down. Instead, car self-accelerated while my foot was not pressing any pedal, and shot uphill and over a speed bump, throwing the car off course toward parked cars.
... I stepped hard on brake, and assisted braking probably also kicked in. Car slammed to a stop. No damage or injuries. I took the car to Toyota dealer service immediately to report and address self-acceleration. Was told Vehicle Control History confirmed an event but not its nature or cause; didn’t find problem. Dealer claimed they reported incident to Toyota national center as UA (Unintended Acceleration), as we requested. Returned the car to me without repair or further diagnostic steps. There was never any follow up by Toyota, local or national. One year later, a similar self-acceleration by this car after a hard left turn at low speed caused life-threatening event and damage. I was told then that Toyota corporate had no record of first UA incident. The 2nd incident is reported separately on this site. I have now realized it’s important to report each incident.Read more

Vehicle is a 2019 Honda CR-V (1.5L Turbo) experiencing an active internal mechanical failure—suspected collapsing/sticking piston rings bypassing the combustion chamber, resulting in severe, unmeasured oil consumption. The dealership (Wesley Chapel Honda) filled the engine with new oil and refuses to perform an internal diagnostic teardown or provide a safe alternative vehicle. Instead, they ar
... e advising me to operate this vehicle for an additional 2,000 miles to complete a corporate "consumption test" to prove the defect for warranty authorization. Operating a vehicle with a known, rapid, and erratic oil depletion defect for thousands of miles presents a severe, immediate safety hazard to my family and others on the road. If the engine oil drops below critical operating levels unexpectedly between manual checks, the engine faces an immediate risk of catastrophic metal-on-metal friction, thermal expansion, and sudden engine seizure at highway speeds. This creates an extreme driving liability, including an instantaneous loss of all motive power, a sudden loss of vital power steering and power braking assist (making the vehicle incredibly heavy and difficult to control or maneuver safely to a shoulder), and a high risk of an engine bay fire due to intense friction and fluid ignition. This is a known issue that I presented to them in March. At that time the PCV valve was replaced along with new spark plugs. The problem continues to persist. This matter is actively documented with Honda Corporate under Case #16466779. A manufacturer protocol should not supersede passenger safety by forcing the prolonged operation of a defective vehicle. The dealership has advised that this is a known issue with the 2019 Honda CRV with piston rings failing. This needs to be made public and a recall for Honda to fix.Read more

I am reporting a systemic safety defect regarding the rear Air Conditioning (AC) lines/hoses in the 2022 Nissan Pathfinder. The rear AC lines are prematurely corroding and leaking refrigerant, mirroring a previous recall Nissan issued for the front AC lines due to similar corrosion issues. On June 13, 2026 at approximately 86,000 miles, my vehicle's rear AC system failed due to a rotted, leaking l
... ine. This defect creates several critical safety hazards: 1. FLAMMABILITY HAZARD: The 2022 Pathfinder uses R-1234yf refrigerant, which is classified as an ASHRAE A2L mildly flammable gas. A rapid, uncontrolled leak of pressurized R-1234yf near hot exhaust components or electrical wiring creates an unmitigated vehicle fire risk. 2. TOXIC GAS EXPOSURE: If R-1234yf ignites or comes into contact with high heat, it thermally decomposes into hydrogen fluoride. This turns into highly toxic hydrofluoric acid upon contact with moisture, posing an immediate inhalation and chemical burn hazard to vehicle occupants and first responders. 3. OCCUPANT HEALTH RISK: Sudden climate control failure in extreme summer temperatures poses a risk of heat-related illness for vulnerable passengers, like children or the elderly, in the rear seats. 4. REPEATED DEFECT: Nissan previously acknowledged their factory AC lines were prone to premature corrosion but only recalled the front lines. The rear lines suffer from the exact same material or manufacturing defect. This is a widespread issue widely documented by numerous 2022 Pathfinder owners. I request that NHTSA open a safety defect investigation to expand the previous recall remedies before this visibility hazard causes a severe accident.Read more

... in high-speed rear-end collisions, making the vehicle incredibly dangerous for my family. The vehicle is currently grounded at Criswell Jeep in Maryland. Despite the vehicle experiencing the exact catastrophic failure outlined in 25V-766, Stellantis corporate and the local dealership are refusing to authorize the mandated engine block replacement. The dealership claims their local technicians cannot physically replicate the failure and do not know how to extract the historical freeze-frame data from the vehicle's computer. Instead of dispatching a Stellantis Field Technical Specialist to pull the internal Uconnect logs—which Jeep Cares corporate admitted on a recorded line is the required next step if the local tech cannot duplicate the issue—the dealership has put over 150+ unnecessary test-drive miles on the vehicle and consumed half a tank of gas trying to blindly trigger the failure. Conducting 150 miles of highway test driving on a vehicle with a documented history of suddenly losing propulsion while it simultaneously has an active, unpatched fire risk (26V-363 "Park Outside" advisory) is a severe safety liability. Furthermore, Jeep Cares explicitly refused to reimburse me for the gas and mileage, stating this excessive driving is just part of their diagnosis and quality control. The manufacturer is negligently failing to execute a federal safety recall by refusing to utilize proper engineering diagnostic tools, leaving INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)Read more

While on the highway, going approximately 60-65mph, lights on my dashboard suddenly lit up and turned right back off as my car began to decelerate on its own. After I was able to get my car off to the side of the highway, I had to have it towed home as it was inoperable. I had it towed to my preferred auto shop and they discovered the engine had failed at only 84,000 miles. The total cost was appr
