COMPONENTS FAILED & EVIDENCE: 4 dry-rotted Kumho Crugen Premium tires, size 225/60R17, DOT 272A YANH 1319. Replaced due to hazard. High-definition photo proof of the severe dry rot defects, deep tread cracking, and the 2019 date stamps discovered upon removal is fully preserved and available.SAFETY RISK & CONCEALMENT: Operating on 7-year-old structurally compromised rubber posed a severe blowout l
... iability on the highway. At delivery, 3 of the 4 tires were mounted inside-out. This reversed mounting placed the worst dry rot cracking and the 4-digit date code (1319, meaning March 2019 manufacture) on the inner undercarriage, actively obscuring a critical safety defect and the expiration date from a standard consumer visual inspection.NEGLIGENT INSPECTION HISTORY: The dealer had physical possession of this vehicle twice: first for pre-sale certification, and second for post-sale service. Prior to the second release, the consumer explicitly texted instructions to ensure the vehicle was completely safe with no issues. The service bay subsequently texted back confirming they performed a "once over" and verified "no issues." The dealer twice failed its duty of care, ignored a critical hazard, and falsely certified road-readiness. Corporate legal has been notified and is stonewalling.DISCOVERY & SEVERE SYMPTOMS: Failure was discovered only after a nail punctured the rear passenger tire, prompting a close inspection of all four wheels. Two weeks prior, all 4 tires simultaneously dropped to half-capacity air pressure. This simultaneous deflation indicates the extensive dry rot completely compromised the rubber compound's structural integrity and ability to hold air pressure, creating a progressive failure condition. ALL 4 TIRES WERE SEVERELY DRYROT.Read more

2021 Nissan Titan XD was being driven. I was listening to an audio book through android auto. I began to hear a noice I can best describe as a beep or squeal like you might hear from an electronic toy with a battery about to die. I thought the sound was coming from the center console and was trying to identify the source when I observed flames erupt behind the passenger door speaker grill. I e

The call connected via bluetooth and I was able to hear the call through the other speakers. I pulled the door panel cover open and was able to observe the speaker was damaged. I reached in and pulled the connector out of the top of the speaker to hopefully ensure it would not reignite. The connector was not hot, melted or damaged.Read more

Dear Sir or Madam, I am submitting this complaint to request that the Federal Trade Commission investigate General Motors (Chevrolet) regarding what appears to be a known engine defect affecting the 2020 Chevrolet Silverado and the company's handling of this issue. I own a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado. In September 2025, when my truck had only 45,494 miles, I experienced an engine misfire consistent
... with a defect that has been widely reported by other owners. Through my research, I discovered that General Motors was aware of this issue and, rather than correcting the underlying mechanical defect, reportedly issued a Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) instructing dealerships to reprogram the Engine Control Module (ECM) to reduce or mask the symptoms instead of permanently repairing the root cause. Now, less than one year later, my truck is experiencing the same engine problems again. Although my vehicle has relatively low mileage, it is no longer covered under the factory warranty because of its age rather than its mileage. When I contacted Chevrolet Customer Assistance, I was advised to work with my local dealership to determine whether I might qualify for a "goodwill" repair. I do not believe it is fair for consumers to rely on discretionary goodwill assistance when the manufacturer was allegedly aware of a design defect before or during the time these vehicles were sold. Based on my research, properly repairing the underlying cause of this engine failure can cost as much as $15,000. Consumers should not be expected to bear the financial burden of repairing a defect that the manufacturer allegedly knew existed but failed to adequately correct. I respectfully request that the FTC investigate whether General Motors engaged in unfair or deceptive business practices by: Continuing to market and sell vehicles with a known engine defect. Addressing customer complaints with software reprogramming rather than permanently correcting the underlying mechanical issue. FailingRead more

Leased vehicle 7-25-24. Driver’s rear tire had ongoing slow leak beginning several months after start of lease. We filled with air and reset stored tire pressure. This would last a couple months and same tire would begin to lose some pressure again. Finally at our 20,000 mile scheduled checkup, Polestar service advised to purchase a new tire, which we did, 3/19/26. The car was delivered back to
... us within a couple of days. On 5/7/26, that same tire completely blew out while driving on the freeway. Was able to exit freeway without an accident, but driving on rim. Towed to Polestar service who diagnosed rim cracked. Both tire and rim completely replaced. Though we paid 5/18/26 (see invoice), we did not receive car as we had to wait for insurance inspection which took a very long time for Polestar and insurance to connect - both poor communication. We ended up doing all their legwork. Finally received car back approximately one month later, after 6/1/26. We discovered within a couple days that the tire sensor system was not working, when it worked prior to the repair. Also key fobs didn’t work. Within 2-3 weeks, the same tire was leaking again, visibly lower than the other tires. Asked Polestar roadside service to pickup vehicle 6/29/26. We were notified that there was some ‘piece of metal’ in the tire and the tire could not be patched because the tire was driven on while low, which of course we did not know because the tire sensor system was not functioning properly. Here we are again, Polestar telling us we need to buy yet another driver’s side rear tire.Read more

The car began making a weird noise and stalling. Then close to home if shut off, I was able to restart it and drove a short distance to home. Realized couldn't drive it like that and contacted City Kia Greater Orlando dealer. Towed the car to the indicated destination and after about four days (it was the July 4th weekend) they sent me a diagnostic of engine failure due to internal combustion and
... want to charge me $7500. Offered another alternative for about $1500 but acknowledged that would likely not solve the issue. I declined and informed them that I was told about the engine recall, that my vehicle year and model (2020 Kia Soul) was included in the lawsuit that caused the recall, and that I was never told by the dealer or Kia about the engine recall and about a particular software upgrade that was supposed to alert me about the possibility of engine failure due to a Kia manufacturing defect. They informed me that my vehicle was out of warranty and that my VIN number was not in a particular list of vehicles. I don't understand how is it possible, since I purchased that vehicle in the same dealer with about 3000 miles at the time of purchase and the vehicle has been properly maintained in the same dealer, as the maintenance records show, including a good maintenance badge from CarFox. I believe this is extremely unfair, how I am supposed to accept that I have a useless vehicle when I did everything right and my car obviously should've been included in that engine recall. How is it that I received letters from Kia about other recalls but not about that engine recall? Previous to the engine stalling and noise incident the oil warming light never turned red. I believe that my vehicle should be included in the list of vehicles approved for the engine recall, based on this statement and the facts.Read more

I leased this vehicle in April 2023. I have only put 23,000 miles on it and have only had it serviced by the dealership. Months after the start of my lease I experienced the Jeep Death Wobble at speeds in excess of 70 mph with my newborn son in the car. Never having even heard of it, I am extremely lucky that I maintained composure and did not crash. I took the car to the dealership who claime
... d they repaired in accordingly under my warranty. Since then the death wobble has returned 3 additional times for a total of 4 times in 3 years (the most recent being 6 months ago) with again only 23,000 miles on the car. Each time I have taken the car to the dealership and they have claimed to have repaired the issue. For the past 3 years, I have been plagued with sheer anxiety every time my vehicle goes over 55 mph, never knowing when the wobble will return but always assuming correctly that it will and it has. This is a known issue that I believe has not been able to be directly attributed to crashed because the outcome relies significantly on the drivers reaction to the problem. Had I not remained calm or made any sudden movements with my car each time that this happened, it easily could have been 4 crashes. Multiply that by how many people I know who have or are experiencing this issue and its crazy that Jeep is allowed to continue operating like this.Read more

5/4/26 Truck brough in for service, I raised concerns of hesitation from a rolling stop/complete stop. This hesitation had happened to me a dozen or so times since purchasing the truck new in August of 2024. I expressed to my service advisor that I experience a 2-3 second delay in acceleration with the truck simply not responding after I have pulled out in traffic from a rolling stop. My service
... advisor noted my concern and got with the service manager. The Service Manager took the time to ride along with me in hopes of duplicating the problem. We were not able to reproduce the hesitation. Inconclusive findings was my conclusion of that service. T-SB-0032-26 was issued two days later on 5/6/26 7/3/26 Truck Brought in for service, I shared with my service advisor that I discovered T-SB-0032-26 while reiterating my previous experiences. TSB was performed on the truck successfully according to my service conclusion report. 7/7/26 Hesitation almost caused an accident. As I was crossing two way traffic, the truck hesitated. Traffic in both directions had to apply their brakes to avoid hitting me. This 2-3 second hesitation in acceleration creates a very unsettling moment. This is the kind of hesitation that could easily result in my getting rear-ended or T-boned in traffic. Other cars have to react to my truck not responding and slow down. If this causes an accident, I want this noted. I sent this information to my service advisor, the truck is going back to Toyota tonight for them to look into the computers history and see if they can find anything showing the hesitation. I even noted the date and time to my service advisor. Very interested to see what they do next.Read more

Interior Electrical System / Center Console Wireless Charging Pad The plastic housing surrounding the factory wireless phone charging pad in the center console has visibly melted and deformed. The damage is localized to the area directly above/around the induction charging coil, with no similar heat damage to adjacent console plastics, indicating the wireless charging module itself is the heat sou

I am not aware of an existing recall or technical service bulletin covering physical melting of this component (existing GM bulletins address intermittent charging function only, not heat damage to plastic). Requesting this be documented and investigated.Read more

The center touchscreen/camera display system in my 2021 Tesla Model 3 is malfunctioning. The vehicle’s camera views do not work properly on the center display, including camera visibility needed for reversing and safe operation. The failed system is available for inspection upon request. This creates a safety risk because the vehicle relies heavily on the center screen to display camera views a
... nd vehicle information. When the camera display does not work properly, rear and surrounding visibility is reduced, especially while reversing, parking, changing lanes, or maneuvering around pedestrians, vehicles, curbs, and other obstacles. Tesla has refused to repair or cover the repair. The problem has been reported to Tesla. Tesla has not provided a satisfactory safety-related repair solution. It is unknown whether Tesla has fully inspected the failed component or confirmed the exact cause. There were no known warning lamps before the failure. The symptom is that the camera display/center screen camera views do not function properly when needed. The issue appears to involve the center display, camera display system, camera hardware, wiring/harness, vehicle computer, or related software. The exact cause is unknown. I am reporting this as a potential safety defect involving loss or malfunction of the camera display system in a 2021 Tesla Model 3.Read more

The contact owns a 2015 Lexus NX 200t. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, an abnormal, ticking sound was emitted from the fuel tank. As the failure persisted, the vehicle entered "Reduced Engine Power Mode" and the check engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic shop where a diagnostic check was performed, and it was discovered that th
... e fuel pump was defective and needed to be replaced. A local dealer was contacted and an appointment was scheduled to have the vehicle serviced. The contact arrived for the appointment but was informed that the fuel pump was on backorder and the appointment needed to be rescheduled. The contact informed the dealer that driving the vehicle felt unsafe because the commute exceeded one hour. The dealer assured the contact that the vehicle was safe; however, while driving the vehicle back to the residence, the same failure returned. After restarting the vehicle, the contact drove the vehicle to the residence. A second appointment was scheduled with the dealer, and a service advisor arrived at the residence of the contact in a rental vehicle and drove the vehicle back to the dealer for service. The dealer was notified and informed the contact that the failure resulted from a loose panel that technicians had difficulty bolting down. The vehicle was towed back to the dealer for diagnostic testing and repair. The contact test drove the vehicle with a mechanic inside the vehicle and informed the mechanic that the same failure remained noticeable. The failure returned a few days after the repair. The contact stated that both the dealer and the manufacturer avoided phone calls to service the vehicle. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 130,000.Read more
