Vehicle suffered a failure cascade of the brake booster vacuum pump system. During a low-speed bumper collision on July 4 and a boat ramp slide, the pedal triggered abnormal ABS-like pulsing as the computer tried to hydraulically compensate for dropping vacuum pressure. This resulted in truck front bumper damage and boat trailer fender damage. On July 10, total failure occurred in a drive-thru, r
... endering the pedal rock-hard and sopping mear impossible. All marked parts and logs are available for inspection. Onboard diagnostic data reveals the electronic brake control module has driven continuously without a master clear for 22,665 miles, locking the last system initialization to 78,468 miles. This continuous data loop proves code C0299-00 was actively visible in the history log during the subsequent dealer service visits. Instead of performing the hardware pump remedy under Recall N192268490 (NHTSA 19V650). At the Jan 24 dealer visit (78,482 mi), dealer applied a software update and charged out-of-pocket fees to clear symptoms. They also ignored subsequent communication regarding the billing discrepancy. Technicians completely neglected the history logs despite explicit complaints regarding low-speed ABS sensations, trailer brake messages, park assist, and brake assist warnings. The 2026 dealers (and 2024) falsified multipoint inspections stating brakes required NO service until after winter. Jan '26 dealer delayed further diagnostics until June '26. May '26 dealer ignored texts regarding a crooked steering wheel and unstable tracking after alignment service. The truck was intentionally misdiagnosed as functional to avoid the warranty period repair. This unaddressed mechanical failure caused a destructive system cascade requiring replacement of the vacuum pump, oil-contaminated vacuum lines lines, oil-saturated booster, master cylinder, glazed pads, warped rotors, fluid flush, tires from module drag, alongside the resulting bumper and trailer property damage.Read more

Vehicle Component Affected: Electrical System / HVAC / Blower Motor Resistor Incident Description: While operating my 2023 Kia Sorento, the HVAC system suddenly suffered a complete failure, causing all airflow to cease instantly. A subsequent professional diagnostic inspection by an authorized Kia dealership revealed that the contacts at the blower motor resistor were severely burnt, causing the
... blower motor relay to burn out. This failure presents two critical safety and fire hazards: Fire Risk: The physical burning and overheating of electrical components and wiring within the dashboard assembly create an active fire hazard in the passenger cabin. Loss of Visibility: The sudden, complete loss of the climate control system severely compromises passenger safety by preventing the vehicle from defogging or defrosting the windshield during inclement weather, presenting an immediate crash hazard. This exact failure mechanism matches the description of Kia Safety Recall SC351 (NHTSA Campaign 25V649) word-for-word. However, Kia has stated that my specific VIN is excluded from the current recall population. Because this identical safety defect is actively manifesting outside of Kia's restricted recall range, I am requesting that the NHTSA investigate an expansion of SC351 to include all affected 2023 Kia Sorento vehicles to mitigate the risk of electrical fires and sudden visibility loss. 06/29/26 Experienced symptoms Inspected and diagnosed on 07/01/26 at JT Kia (Killian Road) Columbia, South CarolinaRead more

I own a 2022 Hyundai Palisade SEL. On XXX, while driving at the intersection of [XXX] and [XXX] in [XXX], the engine abruptly lost power, causing a sudden loss of engine power while the vehicle was in motion. This is my family's primary vehicle, and my wife and children were in the car during this incident. On XXX, I brought the vehicle to Courtesy Hyundai in [XXX]. The dealer found essentially no
... oil in the engine despite my keeping up with scheduled oil changes. The dealer replaced the oil and performed a software update described on the repair order as "9C9 C ECU SW UPDATE EMISSIONS IMPRV 26-01-010H," and I was instructed to return after 1,000 miles for an oil-level recheck. At that recheck, the dealer's service assistant reported the oil was full. On XXX, before a planned family road trip, I returned the vehicle for another check. The service department found the engine was two quarts low — this was only 4,000 miles after the oil service on April 10, 2026. The dealer stated they requested an oil consumption test but that Hyundai denied the request. Per the dealer's instructions, I returned again after another 1,000 miles, and the engine was one quart low. I am filing this complaint because I believe the excessive oil consumption and the resulting loss of engine power represent a safety defect that has not been remedied. An engine that abruptly loses power while driving creates a serious hazard, including loss of power steering and reduced braking assist, and I am concerned for my family's safety while this condition remains unresolved. The Ram 2026 towing package includes tow mirrors. These mirrors create a huge blind spot. multiple times I have started to pull out only to realize there was a car coming. I have had many close calls because these mirrors are so tall. I asked Ram about putting on the regular mirrors but they say it is not possible. I have read in many forums people with the same complaints.07

The first engine failure occurred while my vehicle remained under warranty. While driving with my children and a couple of her teammates to an AAU tournament in [XXX], the vehicle just began emitting white smoke. We pulled to a gas station and were stranded until we could arrange transportation for the 7 of us. It was a good thing that we left a day early or the girls would not have made it to the
... ir game. Upon towing the vehicle back to the shop in [XXX], I was informed that one of the cylinders in the engine had malfunctioned and the only repair option was replacement. The repairs were performed by Ross Downing Cadillac, the same dealership from which I previously purchased a GM vehicle. Although the engine replacement itself was covered under warranty, I was deprived of the use of my vehicle for approximately four months because replacement parts were unavailable and the dealership had no loaner vehicles available. This was in July of 2022. My Escalade has now required a second engine replacement due to the camshaft and lifter defect. The current repair is being performed by Hammer Down Garage, and the vehicle presently has approximately 180,000 miles. While attempting to exit the interstate, the vehicle just shut off. The traffic was horrendous, and it was so hot outside. I was on the way to pick up my graduating daughter's cap and gown from the school so you can imagine the frustration. After impeding traffic for about 30 minutes, the local police department pushed the vehicle to the side of the road so traffic could flow again. The engine light did come on when the vehicle stopped. Both incidents put me, my family, and other people's children at risk of harm. Even though my particular vehicle is not on the recall list, after researching, these are common problems that people have been experiencing with this vehicle. The vehicle is now at the shop requiring yet another engine replacement, and I have no choice because I need transportation for my family. All of the warning lights on my dashboard are on causing the car to loose power while driving. According to the dealership and other Honda owners they have this same issue. Why is my car not showing any recalls when clearly this is a manufacturing issue with a lot of Hondas. Dealership is telling me at least $3000 to repair

I was told today that my BMW engine oil pump is failing because of plastic internal components which will cause irreversible catastrophic engine damage during operation which is extremely dangerous and that I was informed by the dealer that BMW quietly changed them 2 years after due to the failure rate. If the oil pump shatters, debris can permanently damage the engine during operation jeopardizin
... g my safety and those driving around me, making replacement with the upgraded, all-metal oil pump, that BMW quietly changed due to this failure, nearly $6k -$8k to fix and is not covered though they admit it is a known failure/safety issue. As of XXX, BMW Korea is running a free repair campaign (recall) to address oil pump failures affecting the B58TU engine in that country. Affected vehicles include models manufactured between XXX and XXX. BMW Korea replaces the non-safe original plastic oil pump with BMW's upgraded metal design, and even covers prior out-of-pocket replacements. NHTSA needs to hold BMW accountable and force BMW USA to complete the same safety recall for the exact same issue of faulty engine oil pumps they installed to save money as BMW Korea for the United States. Safety recalls should NOT be optional in USA and especially so if BMW is already doing the recall in another country for same issue identified in their cars sold here in the [XXX] too.
