While driving my 2017 Chrysler Pacifica at highway speeds the steering wheel locks or sticks in a curve and is extremely scary! This happened to me back in 2022 and took several trips to the dealer to determine the problem as they could not recreate the occurrence. After several attempts they found recall V53/NHTSA 19V-348, they followed the recall and returned the vehicle to me in August of 202
... 2. Everything working great until Now AGAIN in 2026 4 yrs later while driving at highway speeds the vehicle is doing the EXACT same thing, I returned to dealership that fixed recall V53 to perform the same recall, they stated the recall only has a 2 yr warranty and that I must pay a $250 diagnostic, I refused and called Chrysler Recall and they stated the same thing, this is ABSOLUTLEY RIDICULOUS! This is a major safety issue that could cause an accident and should be a lifetime warranty recall, the fact that the safety of their costumers and all others on the road is not their top priority is baffling! I'm extremely disappointed in the dealership and Chrysler and am now reconsidering buying a Chrysler when I get a new car next year.Read more

I am reporting a severe vehicle safety hazard and engine stalling incident on my 2013 Ford Focus caused by an un-remedied factory emissions safety defect (related to Ford Recall 26S40 / 18S32). Due to an incomplete factory software monitoring patch, the canister purge valve stuck open and allowed continuous, unchecked engine vacuum to pull straight out of the plastic fuel tank. This heavy vacuum p
... hysically collapsed and deformed the bottom of the plastic fuel tank inward by approximately 0.25 to 0.375 inches. This structural collapse compressed the internal fuel pump assembly and mechanical float arm, falsifying the dashboard fuel gauge and distance-to-empty calculations. On April 2nd, while driving on Interstate 95 at midnight, the vehicle displayed an inaccurate fuel level, ran completely dry, and suffered a sudden engine stall in high-speed traffic without warning. My family and I were trapped in a highly hazardous situation and were forced to physically push the disabled vehicle 3 miles down the highway in total darkness. We ultimately had to enlist the emergency intervention of the Florida State Patrol Road Rangers to dispatch a unit and supply fuel so we could safely clear the interstate. The vehicle has since thrown a hard diagnostic trouble code P0443, confirming a complete electrical circuit malfunction of the EVAP system. Ford's failure to successfully deploy a functional software monitor has caused severe structural damage to my fuel system and created an imminent, life-threatening safety risk to my family on public highways. I am requesting a federal record of this incident to compel a full vehicle inspection and complete fuel system component replacement by the manufacturer."Read more

I own a 2026 Carnival Prestige SX Hybrid and having loss of propulsion problems. After much research, and absolutely no help from KIA, I now think my problem is my foot, size 15, is too large to safely drive this vehicle. My shoe intermittently depresses the brake ever so slightly while I accelerate from a stop. This triggers the Brake-Throttle Override which temporarily cuts propulsion power.
... The BTO is in all US cars but of the five vehicles (2025-26, different manufacturers) I have driven this past six months, this is the only one that has given me concern for my safety! KIA claims the vehicle is operating as expected! I claim that they have engineered the brake and acceleration pedals too close to each other creating a serious safety issue for those of us with larger foot sizes. The owners manual makes no mention of the BTO function nor how to restore propulsion once the BTO has been activated! While all US vehicles have the BTO function, they vary as to how the function performs. In KIA, once the BTO is triggered, all propulsion is suspended! The BTO was designed to prevent runaway acceleration. In this KIA, they have created a new safety problem because they failed to allow enough space for larger footed individuals room to safely operate their vehicle! KIA needs to introduce a foot size requirement for all prospective buyers or redesign the area around the accelerator and brake pedal so safety is no longer an issue!Read more

Description of Safety Problem:This complaint is a formal report of an open safety recall remedy failure under NHTSA Campaign 21V800 (Volvo Recall R10136). On 7/8/2026, an authorized manufacturer dealership (Volvo Cars Palo Alto) replaced the driver's airbag module on my 2007 Volvo XC70. Prior to this mandatory safety service, the vehicle's Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) network functioned fla
... wlessly with no dashboard warning lights. Shortly after picking up the vehicle, the "SRS Service Urgent" hard fault was active. Dealership diagnostics confirmed that Controller Area Network (CAN) bus codes SRS-00E5 and SRS-00E7 are present, noting that the Upper Electrical Module (UEM) mirror has proper power and ground but is actively "interrupting the CAN signal." This technical diagnosis confirms a severe internal semiconductor short circuit within the mirror's data transceiver chip, likely induced by a voltage surge during the recall's battery handling or live-component swapping process. Because the driver's airbag and the UEM mirror communicate directly over the same high-speed CAN bus data highway, a technician's failure to electrically isolate the system could send an electrical surge that fried the peripheral mirror network link. The manufacturer is currently refusing to cover the damage, demanding over $2,000 for repairs, and forcing me to operate a vehicle with limited functioning airbags as a direct consequence of a federal safety recall.Crash/Injury/Fire: No.Speed at failure: 0 mph (occurred during dealership service).Read more

When driving my 2018 Honda Civic, the steering wheel exhibits a distinct "sticky," "notchy," or "binding" sensation, making small, incremental lane adjustments difficult. While trying to make minor steering corrections, the steering wheel feels locked or caught in place. I have to apply intentional, extra physical force to overcome this resistance and break the steering wheel free. Once it breaks
... free, the car will sometimes over-correct, causing a sudden jerk or weaving motion within the lane. This requires constant, stressful micro-corrections to keep the vehicle centered. This issue worsens as the vehicle warms up or during warmer ambient outdoor temperatures. The binding feeling makes it incredibly difficult to maintain a smooth, safe line of travel and creates an immediate accident hazard due to the potential for over-steering into adjacent lanes or off the road. This behavior is identical to the "sticky steering" defect described in NHTSA Campaign 24V767 for newer Civic models, so I believe the steering gearbox defect or a similar component failure spans into the 2018 model year as well.Read more

This decreased power caused the truck to not be able to travel over 25 MPH in a 70 MPH zone. This caused an unsafe situation.
