Rear hatch glass shattered on April 16th while parked in carport after my wife opened the right rear passenger door, had it replaced by Safelite on April 29th, on July 9th while driving it shattered again, Safelite says that this is a Subaru issue, Subaru says they will not warranty a replacement even if they do the replacement since the car does have a rebuilt title. On June 19, 2026, while driving my 2026 Nissan Rogue SV at approximately highway speed, my vehicle suddenly lost power without warning. This created a serious safety hazard because I was traveling with surrounding traffic and unexpectedly lost the ability to accelerate normally. I was able to safely pull the vehicle to the side of the road, and it had to be towed to Nissan of White Plains. The de
... alership diagnosed the vehicle with a catastrophic engine failure and informed me that the engine requires complete replacement. At the time of the failure, the vehicle had approximately 7,000 miles and was nearly new. Prior to the incident, I did not experience any warning signs that would have indicated an imminent engine failure. The engine failure has been confirmed by the authorized Nissan dealership, and the vehicle has remained out of service since June 19, 2026, while awaiting repairs. Nissan has provided a loaner vehicle, but my new vehicle has been unavailable for approximately 30 days. I am submitting this complaint because a sudden loss of engine power on a highway presents a significant safety risk to the driver, passengers, and surrounding motorists. I believe this failure warrants investigation to determine whether other vehicles may be affected.Read more

I am reporting a potential safety defect involving my leased 2023 Infiniti Q50, VIN [XXX]. In 2024, I brought the vehicle to the dealership because the passenger seatbelt warning activated even when the passenger seat was unoccupied. I was told the condition was caused by objects triggering the passenger seat sensor, and no further repair was performed. On XXX, I returned to the dealership for a
... routine oil change and again reported that the seatbelt warning problem was continuing. I was initially informed that a component in the passenger seat required replacement and that the defect affected the passenger-side airbag system. I was later informed by the dealership that the defect affects both airbags, not only the passenger-side airbag. The dealership advised that the required replacement part must come from Japan. As of XXX, the part has not arrived, the repair has not been completed, and the vehicle remains awaiting the necessary part. My concern is that the airbags may have been inoperative or compromised for an extended period after I first reported the related warning issue in 2024. My wife and daughter drove and rode in this vehicle believing its safety systems were functioning properly. Had the vehicle been involved in a collision, they could have faced a substantially increased risk of serious injury. I am submitting this complaint so NHTSA can investigate whether this is an isolated defect, a dealer diagnostic failure, or part of a broader safety problem affecting other 2023 Infiniti Q50 vehicles. My 2020 Subaru Forester Sport suffered catastrophic engine failure on 6/19/2026 at 156,322 miles, 15 days and 1,031 miles after a thermo control valve (TCV) repair performed at an authorized Subaru dealer on 6/4/2026. The TCV is a known defect covered under Subaru TSB 09-119-24 (extended coverage to 150,000 miles/15 years). I never received mailed notification of this TSB and therefore did not see
... k repair within the covered window; Subaru approved the repair as a goodwill exception. While driving on I-70 westbound near Genesee, CO, on a sustained mountain grade with my family in the vehicle, I heard a loud noise. The oil temperature spiked to approximately 280°F, warning lights illuminated, and the vehicle lost all power in highway traffic. Losing propulsion on a steep grade in mountain traffic created a serious risk to my family and surrounding vehicles. Post-failure condition: empty coolant reservoir, coolant-contaminated (milky, green-tinted) oil, and metal debris on the dipstick, consistent with cooling-system failure causing engine seizure. I have timestamped photos. The engine is locked and the vehicle inoperable. The vehicle was towed to the same authorized dealer on 7/9/2026. The dealer's technician confirmed the engine is seized and requires teardown ($3,302.95) for full diagnosis; the dealer states teardown proceeds only on authorization from me or Subaru of America. I opened a case with Subaru of America on 5/26/2026 and formally requested in writing that Subaru authorize the teardown, with a stated deadline. As of 7/17/2026, the dealer confirms Subaru has sent no authorization or any communication during the week the vehicle has been on their lot. My written deadline, follow-up call, and final written notice went unanswered. The vehicle and all components are preserved at the dealer and available for inspection upon request.Read more

Vehicle repeatedly entered limp mode / lost power at highway speed a few days after the dealer performing the remedy for NHTSA Recall 23V- 010 (FCA Recall 03A, transmission internal wiring connector short). ... open recall remedy (Recall 03A / NHTSA 23V-010) on our vehicle. We informed the dealer we were departing on a multi-week interstate family road trip, and the dealer released the vehicle as repaired. On [XXX], about 40 minutes into our trip, the vehicle entered limp mode with a severe loss of motive power while driving at highway speed on [XXX] between Northfield, MN and [XXX]. We were able to reach the shoulder safely. After multiple restart attempts, the vehicle resumed operation. On [XXX], the vehicle entered limp mode 2 additional times under the same conditions on [XXX] in IL, and on [XXX] in IN, again at highway speed and with heavy traffic present. In one case there was barely enough shoulder to pull over safely. Each event created a sudden, significant speed differential with surrounding traffic. On 7/16/26 the vehicle was taken to Bob Chandler Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Columbus, OH. The dealer's diagnosis is that the transmission must be replaced. The repair order ID is [XXX]. The vehicle is at that dealership awaiting parts. Safety concern: The vehicle lost motive power at highway speeds 3 times in two days after the recall remedy was performed and the vehicle was returned to us as repaired. Occupants at the time included 2 adults and 3 children. No crash, injury, or fire occurred, but each event presented a serious collision risk from sudden deceleration in traffic.
