Issue 2: The windshield wipers are currently inoperable. When activated, the wipers move slightly upward (approximately 4–6 inches from the bottom of the windshield), then stall and begin to stutter/twitch repeatedly before stopping completely. There is no visible external damage to the linkage. This condition renders the wipers ineffective and unusable. The issue has occurred during active snowfall, making the vehicle unsafe to operate due to loss of visibility. No prior warning lights or messages were observed before the failure. The issue began suddenly, and was not a slow failure. It also occurred the day after a software update, which I noted because of the changed radio and alarm settings in the vehicle. I believe this was April 14th or 15th. By proximity of the app update, this raises the concern of the issue being related to the app. Based on research, there are multiple current and prior recalls involving similar Ford truck wiper system failures related to linkage lubrication, motor sealing, and sensor faults. The latest service appointment one month ago, where I was again told that an oil topoff was all that was needed. The digital gauge cluster where it shows sensitive information is a blacked out screen. I took it an automotive shop to investigate the issue. They ran a diagnositic and confirmed the screen is receiving power, fuses are good, but the screen is not powering up. I cannot view the digital speed, fuel gauge, mileage, access GOAT modes, view tire pressure, view oil life, and other critical data, etc
... . This first occured a few months ago and would randomly turn back on, but not the screen is black more than it is on. Luckily I am able to track the fuel gauge (miles to empty) on the infotainment screen.Read more
