The component that failed is the fuel pump, which had previously been replaced under a manufacturer recall but is now failing again. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. This failure has created a serious safety risk, as the car stalls while driving, begins to shake, makes abnormal noises from the exhaust, and then shuts off without warning, increasing the risk of an accident, esp
... ecially in traffic or at higher speeds. The problem has been confirmed by an independent auto repair shop, and I have an invoice documenting that the fuel pump is the cause of the issue. The vehicle has not yet been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives, or other third parties regarding this current failure. Prior to the failure, there were noticeable warning signs, including shaking, unusual exhaust noise, and intermittent stalling, which began shortly before the vehicle started shutting off completely while in operation.Read more

My 2025 Volkswagen ID.Buzz is subject to recall 90A2 (NHTSA Campaign 25V233000) concerning an incorrect brake system warning light symbol and color on the instrument panel display. The prescribed remedy is a software update performed by an authorized VW dealer. The vehicle has been at Gunther Volkswagen of Clermont on two separate occasions for this recall and has not been successfully remediated
... either time. First visit: dropped off April 17, 2026, picked up April 18, 2026 -- update failed. Second visit: dropped off April 20, 2026 and the vehicle remains at the dealer as of today, April 28, 2026 -- now 10 cumulative days out of service across both visits. During the second visit, the dealer attempted a CAN Bus Sleep procedure as a troubleshooting step, but the software update continued to fail at a specific step in the process. The dealer has confirmed the failure and is in contact with VW ODIS Support. This appears to be a systemic issue with VW's software update infrastructure affecting multiple ID.Buzz owners, not an isolated vehicle defect. When I contacted VW Customer Care directly, they declined to intervene, citing dealer independence. The vehicle is otherwise drivable but remains out of my possession while the dealer attempts to complete a federally mandated recall repair.Read more

About six months ago the tailgate foot sensor failed and has not worked. Since then, the tailgate began randomly opening on its own, mostly when the car is parked and shut off, but as of today(4-28-2026) it started occurring while I'm driving. In addition to the hazard of items falling from my vehicle unto the highway and/or other cars, the only way for me to close the tailgate from the driver's
... seat is to place the transmission in Park and push the tailgate button. Other than that, I must stop and get out and physically close it. Both actions are potential risks depending on my location and the traffic around me. I've brought this in to the dealership service department in January 2026 with this complaint, but was told they couldn't find anything wrong with it. In the meantime, it continues to get worse.Read more

The front drivers side headlamp malfunctioned after condensation entered the lamp via rain and then humidity. The issue first started April 12, 2026. I was leaving to go on a 260 miles drive when I pulled out of the drive way and I started getting a flickering "Dipped Beam Fault". It started flickering on and off as I was picking up speed to merge onto the interstate. I drove all those miles with
... my left thumb on the Menu OK button to clear it. Then it would come back on again as I was going through two major cities. It was very distracting and I kept glancing down every time it would light up. It did this for 5 hours. Also, my signal light was malfunctioning but I always tried to use it even so because of the heavy traffic. I called Jaguar when I got home and the women on the line said she had never heard of anything like this before and to take it to the dealership. So I took it to Jaguar and they did a complete inspection and told me the entire light component would have to be replaced because the seal is not good-even though the car has less then 100,000 miles on it, no reported accidents, and I was not informed by the dealer it has this problem when I purchased a few months ago.Read more

The vehicle experienced engine failure due to coolant intrusion into the engine cylinders. The condition was confirmed by a dealership, which determined that the engine has internal damage and requires full engine replacement. There were no external coolant
... leaks observed. This failure occurred at approximately 88,000 miles and was not consistent with normal wear and tear. The issue developed without significant prior warning other than engine misfire and rough operation. This condition may create a safety risk, as engine misfire and internal damage can lead to loss of power, reduced vehicle performance, or potential engine stall while driving. Technical Service Bulletins have been issued for similar vehicles equipped with the same engine, including TSB 19-2172, TSB 19-2208, and TSB 22-2229, which describe coolant intrusion into engine cylinders and require engine replacement. This suggests the issue is not isolated and may affect other vehicles with the same engine design.Read more

The speed limit indicator included in the software package flashes constantly (approximately once per second), both inside the instrument cluster and in the Heads Up Display. The car still flashes when the speed limit it is showing is not being e

All of this is happening within the field of view of the driver due to the Heads Up Display, causing a visual distraction which could result in accident. Mercedes and the dealer are aware of the issue, and according to my local dealer Mercedes promised to fix it last year, and then promised again to fix it by Q1 of 2026, both deadlines having passed. This same information was corroborated by a post on Reddit from a user who spoke with Mercedes. When I spoke to Mercedes support on the phone they indicated that my particular car was not even supposed to have this road sign feature, so the fact that it is appearing on my car is incorrect.Read more

The brake pedal is extremely soft and routinely travels to the floor during normal driving conditons. It also catches at various levels. The truck is currently at Crossroads Ford in Indian Trail NC for 3 weeks. It has been there once before and 3 times at
... Town and Country Ford in Charlotte. Both dealers said this is the way the brakes are supposed to work. I was also told by a service manager that this is due to the electronic braking system and they are reluctant to spend time on troubleshooting because Ford cut their renumeration. A service Field Engineer stated that the brakes were in spec and traveled 2 3/4" toward the floor. This is a subjective observation as every person uses different foot pressure. The gas pedal is at 3" off the floor and the brakes are 5". The brake pedal passes the gas pedal and many times, my foot hits both pedals. My inspection with a ruler shows the brake pedal going 1 1/2" past the gas pedal. There were no warnings the first time this happened. I have taken the vehicle to an independent mechanic who bled air out of both rear brake lines which helped. This repair lasted 3 months and now the issue is back. My 2018 Ford Edge with the 2.0L EcoBoost engine (approximately 100,000 miles) has experienced coolant intrusion into the engine cylinders — a known manufacturing defect documented by Ford in TSB 19-2346 (NHTSA ID 10169807). The coolant leak was discovered over the course of several months as I noticed that heat wasn't coming out and I checked that the coolant was low. I replaced the coolant twic
... e over six months. The dealership confirmed coolant in the cylinders and stated the only repair is a full long-block engine replacement, quoted at approximately $12,000. Ford Motor Company has acknowledged this defect affects 2015–2018 Edge vehicles with the 2.0L EcoBoost engine, yet has refused to issue a recall or provide financial assistance to affected owners. This is a manufacturing defect — not owner-caused damage — as Ford's own TSB identifies erosion and corrosion of the engine block as the root cause. Ford Customer Service declined to assist when contacted. I am requesting NHTSA investigate this issue and consider a formal recall, as thousands of owners of 2015–2018 Ford Edge, Escape, Fusion, MKZ, and MKC vehicles with the 2.0L EcoBoost are facing the same failure.Read more
