The power/volume button of the display is supposed to do a soft reset if you hold the power button in for 10 seconds all attempts at the back door resets whether it be the display unit power button, doing the steering wheel buttons, pulling the TCU fuse and the audio backup fuse and I've even gone so far as to disconnect the battery for well over an hour all of this is ineffective at bringing those menus back. I had the hoses and clamps inspected, replaced the coolant reservoir and the reservoir cap, the vehicle started to shutter upon starting even after it was warmed up and every day needed to be burped and topped off before and after driving in town but often had no coolant loss during freeway driving, finally 4/28/26 I noticed smoke from the exhaust when I started the car in the morning and that smoke was accompanied by a foul, burnt, electric smell. While burping the air and topping the coolant that morning, the engine sputtered and died 2 separate times. Component: Engine My 2020 Hyundai Palisade (approximately 155,856 miles) experienced a serious and dangerous engine-related failure that resulted in a vehicle fire. My 16 year old daughter was driving alone at the time of the catastrophic failure and fire. For approximately six months prior to the incident, the vehicle was consuming oil at an abnormal rate with no visible external leaks. This
... condition persisted without clear cause. While driving, the vehicle suddenly developed a new oil leak, and the engine failed without warning, leaving me stranded on the roadway. Immediately following the failure, the engine compartment caught fire. There were no prior indications of an active oil leak before this sudden failure. The progression from oil consumption to catastrophic failure and fire presents a serious safety concern. This incident created a dangerous situation with risk of injury or worse, and it appears to be more than normal wear and tear. I am reporting this as a potential safety defect involving engine failure and fire risk. While driving my 2023 Porsche Taycan under normal conditions, the plastic underbody protection panel on the bottom of the vehicle came loose and detached. The metal underneath the plastic panel is now visibly bent. I did NOT hit any object. There was NO impact. I did NOT hear or feel anything during driving. There were no warning lights, alarms, or messages on the dashboard. The first indication
... of any problem was discovering the detached plastic and bent metal after the fact. This is a serious safety concern because the underbody panel on the Taycan protects the high-voltage battery, battery cooling lines, and suspension components. Damage to these components can cause battery thermal events (fire risk), coolant leaks, or loss of vehicle control. PATTERN OF SIMILAR FAILURES: This is not an isolated incident. Other Porsche Taycan owners have reported nearly identical failures on public forums (TaycanForum), where the underbody protection panel was damaged or detached without any felt impact, no audible noise, and no warning. In at least one documented case, the resulting battery and coolant line inspection costs exceeded $70,000. Porsche's own internal tolerance for underbody panel deformation is extremely tight (3mm in the center zone), suggesting the design is vulnerable to routine road conditions and debris. SAFETY RISK: - Risk of high-voltage battery damage and thermal runaway / fire - Risk of coolant system failure - Risk of detached panel becoming road debris and causing crashes for following vehicles - No driver warning or indication when failure occurs VEHICLE INFORMATION: - Year: 2023 - Make: Porsche - Model: Taycan - VIN: VIN: [XXX] ION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6) INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)Read more

Hello, My name is [XXX] , and I have been experiencing loss of battery driving range and performance since I purchased my preowned VW ID.4 Pro in February 2025. I use the regenerative braking as much as possible to help restore some of that mileage los

And now we are being advised to not use level 3 public fast charging for concerns of potential fire. And to NOT park in our home garages after charging our vehicles. This recall seems pretty serious. On my first service in December 2025 with Coachella Valley Volkswagon, I explained the issues I described to the service department and was told that it might be a software issue, which was updated. This was before I was unaware of an active Recall from Volkswagon. The very same problems and my concerns still exist currently. Two days later, I was informed that the vehicle was no longer able to shift into gear and was now completely inoperable. I was told I would be responsible for towing the vehicle off their premises. According to the service department, the vehicle now requires replacement of the EME module, at an estimated cost of $12,000. This assessment was particularly troubling because the vehicle was fully drivable when it arrived at the dealership. At no point prior to service did the car have difficulty shifting into gear. It is deeply concerning that the vehicle became a “brick” while under the care of an authorized BMW service center, with no accountability taken for what occurred during their diagnostic process.Read more

The primary failure is the engine assembly and turbocharger, specifically caused by the failure of the oil pump drive belt and tensioner system (subject of Safety Recall 23S64 / NHTSA 23V-905). Despite an attempted recall "remedy" on August 25, 2025, the engine suffered internal oil starvation due to belt debris (rubber fibers) remaining in the oil passages. The dealership has confirmed in writing
... that the turbocharger failed and the engine requires a "long block replacement" due to "debris in the oil passages" and a "clogged turbo oil feed filter." The vehicle is currently held at dealership, and the failed components are available for inspection. The vehicle experienced a sudden loss of motive power while in operation, a condition specifically cited in the safety risk section of Recall 23S64. This loss of power occurred during acceleration, creating an immediate risk of a rear-end collision or being stranded in active traffic. Additionally, per the recall notice, this failure path can lead to a loss of the mechanical vacuum pump, which provides power braking assist. A sudden increase in braking effort combined with a stalled engine significantly increases the risk of a crash. The problem has been confirmed by the dealership. On January 5, 2026, the service department diagnosed a failed turbocharger then on April 17th 2026, the service department diagnosed the problem to be a internal engine debris clogging oil feed lines. They verified the engine has oil pressure at the pump but is failing to deliver oil to critical components (turbo/upper block) due to contamination from the defective belt system. The vehicle has been inspected by the authorized Ford manufacturer representative at the dealership. I have also escalated the case to Ford Customer Relationship Center, though they have yet to provide a $0-cost safety remedy as required by federal law. The harness straps on the seat have begun to loosen while my child is riding in the seat. You do not need to use the harness adjuster button to loosen the straps. This is allowing a secure fit to become dangerously loose while the vehicle is in motion. I removed the car seat from the vehicle and was able to replicate the issue. A slight tug or movement makes the straps become loose and I can pull
... them completely out of the shell without using the harness adjuster. This is the same issue that started the Rava recall recently. The harness adjuster is clear of any debris and fully covered by fabric in this seat. There is no valid explanation to this other than a manufacturer defect. The seat is a few years old and has been used daily since receipt in Spring of 2023. It was purchased from the manufacturers website. One minor crash and the seat was not replaced because of the manufacturers stance on replacement (crash was May of 2024). This has been reported to the manufacturer as of 4/29/26.Read more

There has been a NHTSA recall for AWD module on 2021 and some newer Bronco sports. Specifically detailing the triggering of same codes (mentioned in this letter) leading to faulty AWD module diagnosis and replacement at the owners cost. I have reached out to Ford North America to file a claim and have been told my VIN is not included, without even comparing with specific part serial number. In addition, I have found the part #LX6Z-7P238-AANP as replacement referred in the letter has now recently been replaced with a newer more expensive version with a different name and part number M1PZ*7P238*C. I also find it significant that the old part is still for sale at a now discounted price on ford OEM website as of today. I believe this indicates there are known problems with this original part causing need for an updated replacement. Summary: I am reporting a "sticky steering" mechanical defect in my 2019 Honda CR-V that matches the failure mode described in NHTSA Recall 24V-744. Issue Details: While driving at highway speeds, the steering wheel frequently becomes "stuck" or "notchy" feeling causing frequent adjustments at high speeds. I must apply sudden, extra force to break the wheel loose to keep car from crossing lanes, l
... eading to unpredictable overcorrection and a high risk of a crash. I never use LKAS, so this is not what I am feeling in the steering. It is an annoyance that causes driver fatigue and anxiety. Prior Action: I visited two Honda dealers who told me they can only follow Honda recommendation. I contacted Honda Customer Service to request a repair under the current steering gearbox safety investigation, but my request was denied. Honda Case Number: 16300136. Case Status: Honda closed this case on 4/30/26 without providing a remedy, citing that my VIN is not currently part of the 2023–2025 recall population. However, the mechanical failure I am experiencing is identical to the one identified in newer models.Read more
