The head on the 2.4L engine of the 2019 Mazda CX5 has shown a manufacturing defect that Mazda has addressed in certain models, but not all of the models with this engine. This leaves a large amount of vehicle owners with the financial liability to pay out of pocket for Mazda's engineering and manufacturing defect that they know about. The oil leaks onto the exhaust manifold creating a fire hazard.
... When driving our car, we cannot use outside air on the vents, A/C because the intake pulls in smoke coming from the engine compartment. I brought the car in today to Mazda and was denied any help in the repair, I am continuing with Mazda corporate to try and reach a resolution. Currently this will be roughly a $7000 repair. I rented this car from Fox Rental Cars at Seatac Airpot between 2/18/26 and returned 2/23/26. While in the AUTO setting for headlights, the high beams suddenly shut off and quick working. Then the tail lights quit working. I did not know the tail lights were inoperable until I was pulled over. When I shut off the vehicle and turned it back on, the tail lights came back on and I was released wi

The tail lights did not turn back on at all but the officer allowed my brother in law to come follow the vehicle home since I was so close. I ended up only driving the car during daytime hours. When I called the customer service line, I could not understand a word the person was saying so I gave up and decided to just drive during daylight hours for safety. When I reached out to Fox management, I was told there were no issues with inoperable tail lights or high beams even though when I checked the vehicle back in, the attendant noted on an incident ticket that the tailights were not working. He did not note the high beams not working on the ticket but they were still inoperable at the time of drop off. If this rental car company rents this vehicle to anyone else, someone could be killed. I asked them for a refund and they denied it based on them saying there was no issues. I not only reported this for a refund but SAFETY reasons so the next driver of the car doesn't get hurt. They clearly never inspected the issue any further if they say the tailights and high beams work. They did not work. I have included my rental invoice, incident ticket provided by FOX rental return attendant, vehicle information sheet, and email from management at Fox stating there were no issues because she didn't want to give me a refund.Read more

Low fuel pressure alert came on the truck. It went away and then came on again a few days later. We took the truck to Joe Meyers Ford in Houston, TX. They verified the code/alert and replaced the fuel filter, then re-tested. The alert returned and once they continued their diagnosis, it was determined that the fuel pressure control valve had failed, allowing fuel, DEF, and water into the fuel
... filter. The fuel pressure would no increase to minimum spec of 55 psi. Ford then said that without replacing the Fuel Pressure Control Valve, Fuel pump, fuel filters, and flushing all the lines, the risk for the engine to seize up was very likely. They noted this was a similar issue happening to 2020 and older trucks, but all the same parts and issues. Upon repairing the truck, we have read up on recall 24V957 and feel the issues we encountered are identical in complexity and costs. We paid nearly $20,000 in repairs.Read more

The radiator had a leak that required replacement in my 2020 Cadillac XT5. The car only had 30,000 miles. Because of that GM replaced the radiator for $600 instead of the standard cost of $2,000. This is the 3rd Cadillac of my relatives of similar age that had a radiator leak. The service manager admitted they are replacing at least 7 of these every week. In my opinion this is a manufacturing
... defect and should be replaced at no cost instead of a negotiated lower price. My concern is that GM is repairing these vehicles with the same parts that have failed so many times. It will likely happen again in less that 5 years. A second issue is the transmission was shuddering during acceleration. GM replaced the torque converter under warranty. But I have read this is also a common problem with GM cars for several years. I think GM should have to come up with a solution and contact owners for a recall.Read more
